Same issue on the G1 also. I Find looking to the side when it begins, makes the SteamVR background come though, so I don't have to stare are the Flickering. Should really be an epilipsy warning about this too. Nate

I've been using this since I discovered it on Reddit a few weeks ago. It fixes my main gripe with my Reverb G1 in providing better colours. But the leap in detail was a very unexpected bonus. Can't use VR without it now. Nate

Anybody got a working link for this? Nate

Yes indeed - looks much better now! Thanks for hearing us. Nate

That's a good analysis of the layout issues. It's incoherent at present. Nate

I'll Echo others - too much wasted space on screen. Nate

I had that when I didn't have the correct modifier in the modifiers list. Nate

Ahh - I would settle for this ^^^ I'm actually surprised at how annoying the lack of bore-sight is to me. It's really trivial but I hate it :) Nate

I'm planning new build + Reverb - am I wasting my time with a 2070 super? looking at a Ryzen 7 3700X w 64gb 3200C16 and a 2070 super. I'm Thinking along the lines of a 3080Ti eventually but for now to get up and running will a 2070super let me enjoy VR in DCS albeit with lowered settings? Edit:- 64gb is for home labbing VMs for work etc. Nate

I get that if I wake my PC from Sleep - It lags every 10 seconds. I can only run DCS after a fresh reboot. Actually now that I think of it , your problem does sound like something kicking off in the background like windows defender or windows update. Nate

Add the Ability to Save and Load Mission Progress
Nate--IRL-- replied to SharpeXB's topic in DCS Core Wish List
Inter mission saves would better than nothing I suppose. But still a kick in testicles, when a multi hour mission crashes. Nate -
Mouse based flight control (see video)
Nate--IRL-- replied to NineGzuz's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I have this too - it is like the sim engine ignores incoming inputs when it's busy, usually when the frame rate is low. with joysticks it doesn't matter too much as the Input is a relatively static value. With mouse input the input is dynamic, and the sim ignores changes when it wants to. Nate -
Mouse based flight control (see video)

There have been various requests over time from disabled people for such a feature, and I pushed for it, back when I had the ear of the people in ED who could make it happen. Nothing came of it however. Nate -
Add the Ability to Save and Load Mission Progress
Nate--IRL-- replied to SharpeXB's topic in DCS Core Wish List
I'm gonna add my +1 to this too. I just don't have the time anymore for long DCS sessions. I would love the ability to save just as I reach the FEBA (and no not just because I'm always getting blown out of the sky....) Nate -
Finally we have Mipmaps in the cockpit for the instruments! I had that as a feature request from day one :) Thanks ED. Nate

Open X:\DCS World\Mods\aircraft\FA-18C\Cockpit\Scripts\materials.lua - adjust the RGB values to desired colour for line 27 MDG_materials[MDG_SELF_IDS.LMDI] Nate -
I'd put DCS on the back burner since 2.5 because I've a modest system and absolutely cannot stand aliasing. However I've decided enough was enough recently and dived back to see if I could get MSAA at at least 2x playable. Sure enough I found that the shadow setting is what is killing FPS when used with MSAA. So I'm fine with no shadows and can run at a semi reasonable 30-40fps (I still remember running Flanker 2 @12fps and marvelling at that.) I've 16gb of RAM - the Black Sea is perfect with that amount. However the Persian Gulf is unplayable for me, constant mem swapping to disk. All that said the Biggest Single upgrade you can make for DCS is an SSD. Nate

Windows 10 1809 Updategate

Win 10 1809 and Server 2019 ISOs have been yanked by Microsoft now. Nate -
Changing Lighting Tone in Cockpit Due To Ground Colors
Nate--IRL-- replied to Devrim's topic in DCS 2.9
If the updating was smoother over a shorter period of time it would be very good, but as it is now it is too jarring and unnatural. You can disable it in the Options. Cockpit Global illumination - IIRC the option seems to be counter intuitive, On = Off. Nate -

Attached - you could also change the HUD, but i prefer that green. Format seems to be R, G, B, Alpha I think. Nate materials.lua
