Yes, we bought (past tense emphasized) it. They've got our money. They WON'T optimize this sim, not for BS, not for a patch afterwards. People will still buy BS, even if they don't care for the Ka-50--if only just to stay compatable on the HL servers. ED knows this, and will take advantage of it. It's one less thing to get in their way of getting this god-forsaken helo out to the CIS public. So everyone you can either just tolerate the sim in it's current state, stop flying it, buy the expansion anyway, or wait until a competitor puts something else on the market that will replace Lock-on. Those are the only real options.

Good idea!! Anyone know how to contact this Fellblade guy? Here's what we do: get 1000 of us to donate $50 each to him to rewrite the shaders to 2.0 standards. That's $50,000 . . . think he would do it for that much? This, my friends, is capitalism at it's finest!! This would be a HUGE benefit to the whole Lock-on community . . . $50 is a whole lot less than all these ridiculous system upgrades that aren't netting us much performance increase . .

Nice work!! I've always wanted to be able to use that button . . . I get the same problem . . . I've mapped it as Dispense Flare through Lock-on, but I can't get TS to recognize it.

My favorite time of year!! In my area (southeast US) we have alot of pine trees so there is more green than the reds and oranges, but the little bit of color we do get is still pretty . . . Time to switch all the missions on the servers over to the Autumn season everyone!!

I totally agree with you here, 2d pits ARE a plague, my #1 hangup with the F4 series. Still, the flyable choices are intriguing, I will probably give this one a try.

It would be nice to have it all on one disk, especially if the installer installed all of it in one pass . .

Sometimes there is no launch tone, for example if the missile is IR-guided. You will learn to HATE Strelas, Iglas, Avengers, etc . . . :cry:

Don't get me wrong, ED makes a great sim. Their areas in need of MUCH improvement are: --User-friendly GUI's and other various aspects of the menu --Mission editor (implementation and abilitites) --AI --Comms --DC/DS (obviously) --Audio They are without a doubt beyond talented in the following areas: --Flight models --Graphics --Attention to detail --Avionics (improved a bit with FC, and MUCH more so with BS) --Network code

My enjoyment of Lock-on went up when I finally let go of my dreams for 2 particular things to be added into Lomac: 1. Dynamic Campaign 2. Dedicated Server Face it everyone, ED has neither the interest, nor the desire, nor the knowledge (this is a guess) of how to do either of these things. If we just sit by like sheep and realize we will NEVER get these things, the sim becomes slightly more enjoyable (this same mentality is often used with politics as well LOL). :cry:

+1,000,000!! The Su-25 is MUCH easier to fly!! IMO the 25T is a bloated cow with an Atari 2600 bolted to the cockpit brow . . . Get you an unarmed Su-25 and go do some freeflights, learn the steam gauges and the feel of the plane. Then start to learn to use the Klen-PS targetting for the weapons systems . . . you will then be like "Skhval WHO?" :D
