  1. I just tried jumping into the CE2 for some race practice and discovered that the Pitch and Roll are not working at all. Both Axis are in RED. In fact, when I first looked, I could see my Settings had added Pitch and Roll to My Throttle as well as the Stick. Thinking that was the problem, I eliminated those redundant settings, leaving only the Stick settings. However, the whole Pitch and Roll "lines" in the DCS Settings/CE2 Axis are RED still. What was in the latest update that could have broken this ? I hope it is fixed BEFORE next weekend when VARS may well have its next race and some of us would like to practice !! ???
  2. I'm pretty sure I was flying the "L" at the time but then if I remember correctly, someone else was flying the "M" at the same time and was also having problems with it. Although in his case, I think NVG's come on after repeated keyboard key commands. I checked my hotas controls in DCS Options to find everything set up but even using key commands I couldn't get the NVG's to work. Only the sun visor.
  3. Among other issues such as No Directional Sound (any aircraft in the area or missile fired in the area .... there is no way to tell which direction it is coming from) or just No Sound for things like the Fuel Pump OR from the RWR, I noticed today that there is No NVG's in the Gazelle now also. Everything is still set up correctly in my DCS Hotas Options. The Function simply doesn't work. PS> I don't know if it works in SP or not. I just know these things do NOT work in MP.
  4. Startup - Fuel Pump Switch makes no noise or at best, intermittent noise for a spit second. I don't know if this is PolyChop or ED but I now find it more difficult to determine the Direction a sound is coming from. It doesn't seem to matter which way I look, it all sounds the same ... like I"m surrounded by multiple jets ! ... sort of ! And an aircraft in the area sound about the same as an AA missile launch. Something is different with directional sound anyway.
  5. I recommend posting in PolyChop's Discord channel because I don't think they look at this Forum any more (for Months !).
  6. I don't think so. I started with a download which unpacked and installed and then the updater started to get a 40,797.6MB download which is taking FOREVER to finish downloading. However, it is downloading faster using the Optional "HTTP" Method of downloading. I'm sure I still have at least another hour of DL'ing before I'll be able to fly though.
  7. I guess in all fairness, I should wait until this bloody large update is finished and have a look for myself before commenting. I am happy to hear there is a boost in performance. Performance is all that I really care about in the end.
  8. Points cannot be used on Sale Items.
  9. In short, the ONLY Map/Terrain that is FREE is the Caucus Map which comes free with DCS World. Not a bad deal and certainly one of the best and most popular maps (for that reason ... more people can join in the fun without extra expense). If you have a tight budget, I would consider purchasing only the Straight of Hormuz Map. I don't think much of the "France"map and other than specific Campaigns and Training, there isn't anything (or much) on the NTTR Map that you can't see or do in the SoH Map. These are of course, My Opinions only.
  10. I was thoroughly satisfied with the Trees we Had. I don't see much advantage of making them any more realistic, especially at 10,000+ feet or anything over 400 mph. However, I have long since felt that their Scale is off a bit with regards to Height. At least when compared to some buildings or measured using Radar Altimeter in the Gazelle (which may be anything but accurate as far as I know).
  11. My recommendation is a MUCH Bigger SSD. I had and still use a 250GB SSD dedicated for DCS, but I could clearly see it was going to be Full far sooner than I like. Then I was basically forced into purchasing and building a Brand New Computer. It was at that time that I chose to invest in a 1TB SSD (M2) for Windows and DCS ... and a few other things. Now I have the 250GB setup for Page File and a couple other minor things and I have Legacy Hard Drives for Data/Photo/Document etc Storage and a smoke'n setup for that which requires more speed. This is the Drive I got for Window and DCS https://www.newegg.ca/samsung-860-evo-series-1tb/p/N82E16820147678 I highly recommend it (or one of equal storage capacity). PS> This most recent Update is a Grotesquely Large Update. I hope it's worth the 7 hours of downloading I have to do in order to complete the download. That is to say, I hope it Fixes more than it Breaks ! What are the chances ?
  12. Well ffs I would have NEVER figured that out. This is the first and only Module that I recall having to set the page changing keys on my own. They have always been the same keys for each and every module that I have and they all came that way. My KB on/off and mark current location controls have always worked in the Harrier Tutorials. Only the Next Page/Prev Page stopped working. Thank you @Razor18 to turning me on to this solution. I was all but ready to give up on these tutorials. You just saved me a ton (more) frustration.
  13. @baltic_dragon Do you happen to know if the Kneeboard Issues are related specifically to your Tutorials or is this a DCS/ED thing ? The reason I ask is because I don't think I have had any issues with the Kneeboard while online in MP or any SP flights. It seems to only affect me in your tutorials. This makes several of your tutorials a bit lacking simply because some of the pertinent information is said to be on the Kneeboard. The issue I have found in all of the tutorials (that I have done to date) is that I am unable to Change ANY Pages. I get the First Page ONLY. Again, this issue may exist in other scenarios but I am not aware of them.
  14. I don't think there is anything wrong with the collective. It is a light chopper and therefore unlike the Huey, it doesn't drop like a stone when you reduce collective. In fact, I don't think the collective works the same in the Gazelle as it does other/heavier choppers. The collective doesn't seem to control altitude like other choppers such as the Ka-50. The cyclic seems to have about as much control over altitude as the collective. For sure it is it's own chopper and therefore has it's own unique characteristics. I don't think the flight model needs any attention, especially when multiple RL SA342 pilots have flown this Module and say it's as close as you are going to get in a Sim. It's just Different. And again, I think what each of us experiences is weighed against other choppers we've flown or expectations we may have in advance as well as the differences of HOTAS's used. After watching "Flying Soldiers" Episode 3, I learned allot about the sensitivity of the controls and tuned my Cyclic to reflect the actual aircraft's sensitivity and range of movement.
  15. The only difference between what I observed and that which imacken mentioned is with regards to imacken's #4 observation. I could always easily get back to the DMT on the Right MPCD by pressing Sensor Select Aft 2 times (or 1 time when the tracker crosshair is showing). I'm guessing the Tutorial Procedures are correct even if some of the Tutorial Mission Scripting isn't working. I'm betting the issues are related towards something lacking in the Harrier's programming or DCS's. In the meantime, I have parked my enthusiasm for the Harrier (again) for a while until a few more things are working correctly. I look forward to a day when most things work so I can really enjoy this aircraft.
  16. Yes thank you. That is good to know. It's unfortunate that people do sometimes get unnecessarily pointed with their words. It's not a great way to get help. But I didn't know they abandoned ED Forums but that would explain why I/We haven't heard much if anything. If you happen to have their Discord Channel or # and are willing to share it, I'd appreciate it (or PM me with it). I'd like to be able to correspond with them one way or the other. But I was also informed today by someone who probably read what you read about their decision. This other fellow said that PolyChop is simply not doing any more with the Gazelle and that's that. If that's true, it's very disappointing. Furthermore, it is one more reason to pass All 3rd Party Developed Modules in the future. We pay way too much money to get incomplete and/or busted shite, especially that is left that way for good. At least I know I'll save my money. If it isn't produced by DCS/ED or one of the proven 3rd Party Developers, I'm going to keep my money ... and sanity. Thanks again for your reply and the important information. PS> I just checked the Forum Link you provided which includes their Discord Channel. So thanks for that too.

Again, if you can, I'd like that Discord Channel UNLESS it's posted at their website ... which I'll take a look at right now.
  18. Oh is that what it is ? Nobody has made any accusations in this thread that I'm aware of. I appreciate that a representative of PolyChop replied to my 2nd post in this thread which indicated my incorrect assumption of the DOP setting, no one has ever addressed or acknowledged the purpose and subject of this thread as clarified in my 1st post and all subsequent posts (not including my 2nd post). All I'd like is acknowledgement of the issues I and others have pointed out and that they are working on it. If they said, we understand and we're looking into it but it'll take 6 months to correct it, at least then I/We'd know. But that isn't what has happened here. It is disappointing because the SA342 is fun to fly ... but all but useless in MP Combat. So I'm moving on to other Modules. I may never come back to this one. And I certainly won't be interested in anything else they produce.
  19. Before you jump into a mission, go into the DCS Options then the SPECIAL Tab. Select the AV8B/N on the Left and then on the Right ... where it says INS Default Alignment and set that to Pre-Aligned.
  20. I should mention that the last 2 times I tried this Tutorial, I got the initial/first comment or statement via voice-over and then squat after that. But both times I heard a single comment at the beginning of the tutorial and then silence forever after that.
  21. I apologize for the slow reply. I didn't see this question. The answer is, the Kneeboard only shows me 1 page (of map). I cannot switch between pages using the Bracket [] Keys aka I cannot change the pages at all. I have tried a couple different tutorials where this is the case and yet my Kneeboard works just fine (or as fine as it gets anyway !! lol) in both SP and MP.
  22. I hear you man. It's an information overload and a nightmare to me. The more I look into flags, the more confused I get. Luckily I know people who do understand it all and already create great missions ... so I don't have to. I gave up after DCS 1.2.
  23. TDC Depress (Action) & Kneeboard I have just gone through the tutorial again ... a few times. Again, there is no voice-over beyond the initial comment/statement. I have also attached the Note (and since there was no voice) which states {paraphrased} that repeatedly depressing the Action or TDC Press/Down switches between Tanks/Tgts. It does not change from target to target. At best it moves off the one target I slewed to myself and automatically slews miles away to seemingly nothing OR it just goes to boresight position (on the HUD). And finally, I have yet to see any pages in the Kneeboard beyond a single 1st page. That is to say I cannot change pages using [ or ] bracket keys. It is like this in every mission tutorial I have tried. I realize that I have the PDF's to go along with the tutorials but it would be handy to see them in the KB as well as being able to see the WP's. Especially when (at least in the few tutorials I have tried) we seem to be flying in the wrong direction when the mission starts and therefore have to turn around or switch WP's and turn to that direction BEFORE doing anything related to the mission. EDIT .. PS> I concede that the problems I am having are due to both my inexperience as well as the possibility that things that worked previously, no longer work. I'm still grateful for all the work you have done for the Tutorials. Trust that I am not criticizing your work but rather simply trying to point out what appear to be issues or discrepancies OR my ineptness when it comes to more complicated weapon systems etc.
  24. So I said I'd get back to you about the Maverick Tutorial. I completely reinstalled all of the Tutorial Missions and tried re-flying the Maverick training (short ?). I still don't hear any voice-overs. Or more accurately, I hear only the very first comments and then no others after that. Furthermore, after firing my First IR Mav, the tutorial suggests that by pressing the TDC that the Mav will switch from one target to another. Mine doesn't work that way. First of all, my TDC down/press (not fwd, aft, left or right) is my TDC ACTION (not action/no action). When I hit it, it just resets the Mav Camera back to Boresight requiring me to have to go through the whole procedure again from scratch (for each target), starting with Sensor Select Aft x 2, pan the camera using TDC slew to find a target, uncage and lock when within range (which often requires more slewing using the TDC). The part that suggests that the TDC Press (assuming that is TDC Action) does Not change the target the seeker head is looking at but rather resets it as if I hit the NWS button.
