I was hoping the Manual would explain the choices between "Pilot, Instructor or Equally Responsible" but it doesn't. Always Ask is self explanatory ... at least once I know what those settings are for. However, I'm willing to guess that it has to do with a Live Player in the Front Seat having any control or not. Am I right ?

Oh for crying out loud. I didn't even see that the image went beyond the screen. What a dip***t. Anyway, that's what I was hoping to see. Thank You.

BTW FragBum, thanks for the video links. I have seen this Svetlana video (and maybe others) as well as many RedBull Race vids and you can really see the pilots throwing that stick around (of course they have extensions and I don't ... yet !). However, then I have seen Gazelle videos (no comparison on fly dynamics or style but) and the pilots only move the stick about 3 inchs from full pull to full push (or full left to right). i.e. minimal movement compared to a Huey for example. In any case, I expected it would be much more like in the video examples you provided. So thanks again.

I should specify that I affect ONLY the "Y" Saturation axis. That said, if I have the Y Saturation set to 70%, are you sure I only have 70% authority ? The CE2's control surfaces are directly cable connected to the stick. I get Full Deflection of the control surface, only a tad slower. IMO, changing the Y Saturation Only, affects only the speed at which the full effect takes place. Am I Wrong ? I'm asking.

EXCELLENT. Thank you Very Much. At a quick glance I can see this is Exactly what I was hoping for ... and more. I really appreciate this kind of help. I like pictures .... with my crayons !! hehe.

I personally like my MCG with just a slight bit of tension of the Dampers. Just enough so if I let go of the stick, it doesn't rock back'n forth like a pendulum. Plus the stick isn't moving with every heartbeat in a tense fight. :) However, I have the stock #20 springs installed and have been thinking about putting the #30's in instead, just to give the stick enough "umph" to return the stick to center a little more forcefully. It's my belief that this will help the stick return to neutral/center while eliminating any wobble. I'll do this on the weekend and will follow up with my observations.

Jabbers' Christen Eagle II Module Giveaway Announcement
SnowTiger replied to Jabbers_'s topic in Christen Eagle II
I have used the link via the link in the description at your YouTube Video. It shows that I have 2 entries (I was already subscribed and had to unsubscribe and resubscribe to the get entry) and with my FaceBook. However, I can't find how to "Continue" with my entries. Logging out just seems to eliminate the entries and there doesn't appear to be a Continue button following the 4 entry options. What am I missing (besides brains ... haha beat y'all to it !). -

This may sound a bit dense, but is there a video or a key (for the drawings) or anything that will help me understand what each of the symbols used in your knee board charts ? For example, I have zero clue what the Red Triangles (large and small ?) mean in your third knee board image. And I can only assume that the little curved arrows represent Roll Direction ? PS> I have only just now downloaded your files. I have not yet had the opportunity to view them. Maybe the answers I am looking for are included, but if not, can you please provide that information ? I'm really just getting into Stunt Flying and started to create a Routine, but I really have no idea how to draw a representation of the routine as you have done. I just wrote down ... left roll, lazy 8, etc etc for each of the maneuvers. Your Charts look far more professional. I'd like to create the same for my own routines. Thanks in Advance.

I don't know how much throw or travel the stick moves IRL but because my VKB MCB is very sensitive, I reduced the Saturation to 75% for both Pitch and Roll and my Rudder pedals Saturation is at 85%. While this may not be nearly as "snappy" on the controls, it does seem much smoother flying ... for me at least. I'd like to find a video that shows just how much a Real Life Pilot moves the stick for full deflection of the control surfaces.

Maybe I'm blind but I didn't see that in the ME. Can you please point me in the right direction for the option to have 1 or 2 pilots and/or to be able to switch from the rear (pilot) to front (passenger/student seat) ? Thanks in Advance

Looking in the mirror, I can see the pilot's head (i.e. my animated melon) moves left and right but does not appear to move up and down. I'm not going to lose sleep over it but since this animation works in other Modules, it seems to make sense that it should also work in the CE2 ... one of these days.

I was just wondering if because this is just a new release that we don't have any Prop Damage Model (i.e. it's indestructible) or is there a setting somewhere that I have to check. Also, might it be possible to get a Trim Reset option/button ? Not that I really need it for flying but I had a heck of a time trying to figure out why the Landing and Shut Down Tutorial wasn't progressing because I couldn't seem to find the sweet spot for the Trim Lever to be in the Neutral position whether I used my mouse to manipulate the lever OR my Trim Hat. Even though it appeared to be trimmed neutral, I almost crashed trying to find the neutral position manually (with mouse) and couldn't seem to get the Tutorial Message to pee off after moving the trim all the way both ways and trying to find a central/neutral point. Anyway, it's no biggy but a Trim Reset option might be helpful. And finally, is it safe to assume that the Controls page (DCS Controls Settings) will accurately reflect the controls we have and NOT include things like "Cannons" which the CE2 obviously doesn't have and surely never will have. There seems to be many generic control settings/options listed that really have zero to do with this aircraft. Thanks.

Your Mods or _Mods folder should be in User\....\DCS "Version"\ Saved Games rather than E:\DCS World.

I'm pretty sure that is the same canyon I flew through in a Gazelle a few months ago. It was part of a mission and server developed and run by some guys in France. (sorry can't remember name of server).

Is there some reason ED has not yet fixed the F10 Map Labels ? Surely it can't be that difficult or time consuming. It would be great to be able to identify Major Cities and Airports. We DON'T need to see an airport's Parking Spaces when in the air (if EVER). This has been going on long enough IMO. It would be fine if I had maps memorized ... but I don't. Nor do I have a printer to print out hi-res maps that I know are available. Please fix this issue SOON.

Cockpit Instruments Blurry with NVG's On.
SnowTiger replied to SnowTiger's topic in Polychop-Simulations
Yup. A LINK/URL would be helpful. I just searched for it in the "User Files" using all the parameters I can think of. No Joy. But I'd love to try it because starting with Mis 5 in Dixmude, the campaign becomes impossible for me. -
Win 10 + How do I switch or minimize DCS
SnowTiger replied to SnowTiger's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I should point out however, that if No Other programs are running, I am still unable to minimize DCS to my Desktop (I might as well have other programs running and still not be able to access them !). At least I have resolved the latter but this remains frustrating if for example, I wish to open another program OR simply to re-calibrate my TiR after smacking it out of wack. -
You should be able to connect your MCG Gunfighter AND your VKB Rudder Pedals into the same "black box". The connection ports are labeled. So there is no reason to choose one over the other (that I'm aware of).

Cockpit Instruments Blurry with NVG's On.
SnowTiger replied to SnowTiger's topic in Polychop-Simulations
I guess since there is no way to focus, I'd rather see the NV in front of the right eye only (i.e. to the right of center view) leaving the left eye clear to read the instruments. I find it basically impossible to maintain maximum 10m altitude at 180 km/hr over water with or without NV ... but definitely not With NV On. I wonder if there is a way to reposition the NVG lens/view to have it more to the right ? -
I started flying the Diximude Campaign again the other day (for the first time since it was released). Back when I flew this campaign originally, there was no issue reading any of the cockpit instruments/controls etc with the NVG's activated. Now it is almost impossible to read anything inside the cockpit. This will make an already difficult flight very dangerous considering you must fly at night within 10m of the ground while maintaining a flight path along the waypoints without varying more than 100 feet or meters to either side. This will be very difficult without being able to read ANYTHING inside the cockpit. Is this something that will SOON be addressed ? Is this a known Bug ? I might as well be flying with VR where everything is blurry !

I use my folding trigger for Missiles in the Gazelle and I think for Bombs in the Mustang. I haven't been flying much else lately so I can't remember what else I have been using it for. I may have it set up to fire Rockets in the F-5E but I can't be sure at the moment. I use it as mentioned above and then fold it up out of the way to access my 2 stage trigger for guns and those things that recognize the trigger for firing (whichallever those are ?).

Win 10 + How do I switch or minimize DCS
SnowTiger replied to SnowTiger's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I just wanted to update y'all on the solution to my issue. It turns out to be a self-inflicted issue that occurs in Win10 but never occurred in Win7. The issue was a result of running my DCS as Administrator. I don't remember why I had DCS running this way, other than I used to do this with only a couple specific programs which did help in their operation (without BS from Windows requiring permissions etc). Anyway, >> By unchecking Run As Administrator, I have restored my ability to minimize DCS and access other running programs. -
While I haven't flown the Huey much recently, I'm pretty sure that the Cargo Manager still works OR works even better than before. I've heard that now there is a Voice Assisted Cargo Crew who will tell you to move forward/aft, up/down "X"number of meters etc. The Cargo Manager alone should be enough to do most cargo exercises with accuracy. I'll try to remember to take a look into this tomorrow before noon and report back to see if I can help you out friend.

Difference between P-51D-25-NA and P-51D-30-NA?
SnowTiger replied to Aluminum Donkey's topic in DCS: P-51D Mustang
Wartime Fuel. That would be special. Anything that will allow the Mustang to perform against the German planes which seem to seriously outperform against the Mustangs in every aspect. It would be nice too if ED would finally get around to REPAIRING WEP when doing a repair. The repair fixes everything else including blown engine but never replaces the WEP Wire. So all subsequent flights throttle into full WEP whether we want it or not.
