Yeah had mine three days now, this card is kicking some serious butt I must say.

Luckily I was able to get the Gunfighter back reflashing the firmware. Not sure what happened there, I had gone in and set up controls in IL-2 to test this new GPU out, after exiting I went back in DCS and all my controls were messed up. Checked the VKB software and they were all messed up in there. Very strange. All is ok now.

Well crap all my testing is now on hold, appears my VKB Gunfighter Mk III has gone tits up on me. Have new Virpil gear coming but it has not gotten close to shipping yet. Terrible timing ugh. Just get a 4090 and now can not flight sim.

Yep my 4090 runs much cooler than my 3090 ever did. Nvidia did a good job with the cooling of these behemoths.

Only issue I ever had with my Aero since getting it a year ago - my Link Box went out on me, this was a few months ago had replacement in two days and it has been great ever since. I was getting some very slight and intermittent blackouts occasionally while flying, I flipped the USC C cable that goes into headset around and plugged back in, and it has been rock solid ever since - and that was a few months ago. Overall I have been very pleased with my Aero.

Yep and I myself will always pick native PC-VR plugged into Display Port of GPU over USB or wireless. I only do seated games and cable is not an issue for me.

I just got a 4090 Gigabyte card and am using their software to control. It is more I guess rudimentary that Afterburner and Precision but seems to be getting the job done ok for me now, once I got my arms wrapped around it some.

Just registered this puppy, warranty shows it expires 1/9/27. Not bad. Of course no experience whatsoever with their warranty so no idea how good or bad it might be. I know probably no one can attain the level that EVGA did.

Yes I do have it actually have just not been using it, will try and check that soon. Got a few other things working on today.

Ok so testing in DCS Spit Cold Start Channel Map, a mission I have been flying whilst I learn the Spit for the last couple of weeks. My fps went from 40-50 fps with the 3090 to 65-75fps with the 4090. Frametimes down to 11-14 ms or so. Previously they were like 18-20 ms.Top GPU Temp whilst flying the mission was 52c. I think I am going to be very pleased with this 4090. Think I will test Varjo Motion Reprojection now that I have a 4090 and see how it does - I know it is still in Beta at this time.

I use cold start mission , I like to get her cranked up then fly around for a while. Hope to start campaign flying with it later today.

When it comes to DCS and it's inner workings I suspect ED knows a heck of a lot more about it than this WMR guy. Just my opinion. We would all like to see some improvements and it sounds like ED has some on the table that will be forthcoming.

So when is Pimax going to stop talking about it and start shipping it?

Not sure what this MOAR is ? Btw before going to bed last night I ran a TimeSpy benchmark. She is boosting to 2805 MHz and the warmest it got during the run was 58c. Now I will take that! By comparison my 3090 boosted to 2100 MHz and high temp of 70c during same benchmark run. Will be resuming my Spit flying on the Channel Map later today and hopefully start The Big Show campaign. Am hoping for at least a somewhat decent improvment in performance.

Wow just ran a Time Spy benchmark for a quick test for the card. She is boosting to 2805 MHz with max GPU temp of 58C. I will take it! Off to bed, I am fried and exhausted (up since 3:00 am), tomorrow is a new day. I will resume my Spit flylng on the Channel Map and see how she performs for me.

I am not even going to tell y'all what I have been through all day today trying simply to get this new card put in my machine. Oh I had plenty of room for it, have a huge full tower case. Let's just stay it started out with me totally locking myself out of Windows, had to go the the Windows 11 forums on my iPhone, and get some help. Finally got some help and got it restarted into safe mode and proceeded from there. And that was just the first hour, took me well over 3 hours to finish and be good again with the new card it. That was the short version. Card is running great, at idle with zero fan speed it maintains 45 degrees C. Very impressive. No time for further testing, after all I had been through today I needed a break so had a relaxing dinner in with my wife and we watched a movie. I will get started fresh in the morning with some Spitfire flying in the Channel Map. If this baby runs at 2.5 GHz and maintains a decent temperature like I think it will, I am going to be pleased I think.

Well my grandson certainly is - he is 19 and already graduated high school. The grandaughter is 17. The rest are a little younger. Lol - dinner and a movie was at home for both.

Yeah but I got 5 other grandchildren that are going to be like - wth grandpa! LOL. I gave my Grandaughter my original Quest around a year or two ago. I am slowly getting to them all lol.

Well I am fried tonight and lighting in my office ain't the greatest, going to wait and do it fresh in the morning when sun is up. Got everything ready and all software Presion X related uninstalled and out of appdata folders. Only thing left is removing the drivers with DDU and shutting her down to put the new card in. It comes with a nice anti sag bracket that should mount easily it appears, and also a 4 year warranty which is nice. Not that I would actually keep it four years or more, after all I fly in VR LOL. As far as my EVGA 3090 FTW3 Ultra goes? Yeah I could still sell it right now for a good buck, but no this time I am not going to do that. My grandson who could sorely use a better GPU is going to be the beneficiary of a nice gift from Grandpa. He does not know yet. Going to give this 4090 couple of weeks or so to make sure won't need the 3090, then spring it on him. I think he will be ecstatic. He loves PC's but can not afford the top end at this time understandibly. He will also be receiving my complete PC system whatever I am running at the time and all flight and racing sim controllers upon my passing whenever that is. Least I don't have to worry about my wife throwing it all in the trash LOL.
