  1. ... there is a flashlight you can map ... look or search for Torch maybe in your controls. Unfortunately, i do find the flashlight very very dim

    label mod?

    hey all - i have seen a label mod being used on some of the WWII servers and I would like to explore using it to bring back some DoW offerings. Where is this label mod available? Where are there instructions for its installation server-side? Thanks for any help!

  6. im still running a sandy bridge i-7 2600K at 4.4 so I'd say save your $$$ and just OC the CPU. The mileage i have received from this chipset has absoutely blown me away over the years and completely changed my mindset about jumping at every new upgrade. MP/SP no problems for me at gorgeous graphic settings. As long as you have a decent GPU and have that 4790k even OC'd a little, you should be just fine where you are at. - mind you i just noted in your sig that you are pushing pixels on a 55" 4k... not sure if your bigger bang is eeking out a bit more CPU speed or looking at a 1080 from your 1070...
  7. i7 2600K @ 4.4 MHz 32 GB RAM DDR3 GTX 1070 Im pretty happy currently with my 23" monitor but bestbuy has one in stock on sale for 250$ off... im thinking about jumping on it. Any advice? S!
  8. i know where your thoughts are coming from for sure.... to be honest - the english cockpit is really only a desire for me due to the fact that i have all the modules. I can learn the switches fine when I am flying a particular module with high frequency... however, as I switch between modules quite often, that memory workload gets quite high.... the english textures go a very long way in jogging memories and establishig what panel I am looking at.

  12. quick question... has anyone succeeded in getting detection to work within the AI Balancer? My AI spawned units do not seem to detect any Opfor and I cannot seem to get the detection to work'
  13. Heya Mav... I sort fo see from a cursory search that some folks are having troble connecting to the 104th. It seems I am also unable to connect after a clean install of DCS> I'm sitting at an 82 ping but it seems to just hang at loading ... flash the spawn screen (if i get that far) and then kick me to main menu Have you identified any fix for the connection issues or any consistency from those suffering? Or should I just sit tight and see if a future patch opens things up for me. i7 2600k @4.4 GHz 32 GB RAM 1070 GTX

  16. Same here for complex missions like 104th.... stuck at loading... short time at spawn screen (no slots visible) then crash back to home menu of DCS. i7-2600k @4.6 1070 GTX 32 GB RAM
  17. Has anyone had success with having the s-300 launcher move as part of a convoy? Everythin i try in the editor seems to only have them placed in the deployed state and not move.

  19. So I am looking at big screens around 50+ " again. I wanted to throw a though out to the group to see if I am way off base on this or not. Given the state of visibility and bandit scale-ability, i feel like I am balancing between 4K gaming and good ole' 1080p for the big screens. As I gather, the 4K debate is oft hampered by poor spotting and refresh rates. I am aware of Nvidia's planned 120 Hz 4K solutions but it does not seem to address the issues of spotting air/ground targets. Pretty is not necessarily better IMO. So - now I am looking at 1080p TVs that are claiming 120 Hz refresh. Am i wrong to assume that a 1080p at 120 Hz would not only require less GPU strength but also provide a better solution for spotting? I am currently sitting about 24-36" from my screen. Would a 1080 p monitor just look like trash you think? would it be blurry and annoying or is anyone actually gaming at 50"+ / 120Hz here already... If so; what are your thoughts of it vs 4K?
  20. there are no static bridges .. you will hav to use mist script to detect destroyed map objects at the moment. sorry no easier way i know of

  24. in alpha... i can't seem to get the illumination bomb to go off in either normandy or nevada... is this a known bug that my search fails to find or can anyone else please confirm for me?
