  1. sorry, I haven't noticed the quote. The coords are: 44°48'18"N 37°35'41"E However, it is a whole training complex with many different shooting ranges, you can view it here: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=44.810705&lon=37.591181&z=14&m=b It would be nice if someone could model the real shooting range there (something like KOTAR in BMS).
  2. I also have this problem, with full moon the ground is so bright I don't need NVGs and it looks like a day. In FC2 the night is much darker. Even without fullmoon I can spot some ground units. My monitor contrast is set to 40 and brightness to 50, but still doesn't solve. Night in the current DCS version (1.2.3) is too bright :(
  3. I would pay for it too - I hope to see it released one day. DCS Su-25A/T/SM would be even better.
  4. anyway, making Su-25T pit would also be great and not that much work as it is strongly based on Su-25A pit.
  5. wow, I want Su-22 in DCS :)
  6. What I found that when landing and fine tuning my position I just move the stick very gently and fine tune my attitude without pressing trim button - I really don't know if AP is fighting me, but it feels like it doesn't. I've tried the technique shown in this video and it seems to work:huh::
  7. Very nice, recently I have found that south-east of Rayevskaya is a big shooting range (it is northwest of Novorossiysk). Now I use that area for training missions.
  8. The only time I reset the trim is when I am on ground after landing or before takeoff. As far as I know it is absolutely not advised to reset trim during flight except emergencies - it is hazardous.
  9. Just don't touch the stick when using autopilot. If you exert some force on the stick with autopilot on, autopilot will counter your input with trim. After you switch the autopilot off, trim will remain in position where the AP left it and you will end in untrimmed uncoordinated flight.
  10. I've also noticed that the wires are very thick and I agree with Suchacz. They should be like in BS1.
  11. maybe even no engines.
  12. When we were moving our gate guard Mig-21, one wheel went into ground and it immediately sank so that the whole wheel was underground. We had to dig it out, put wooden boards under and tow it out. We managed to do it because the other two wheels were on firm surface. You need to keep in mind that you have 10-20 tons of weight on three relatively small wheels and this creates a lot of pressure.
  13. Thanks for very interesting answers. With AP on final or maneuvering onto a landing spot like FARP, holding down trimmer makes sense (it certainly works this way in Mi-8, you hold the trimmer maneuver and release in desired position for AP to stabilize). I can't imagine how to do it with short trimmer presses with AP engaged.
  14. I have watched all landing videos, read the manual and forums, however I still don't know what is the proper real-world landing technique with Black Shark regarding the use of autopilot. I suppose that altitude channel should be switched off, but what about the other channels? For me, it is easiest to land with F/D, but I would like to know how is it done in real life. Thanks for answers.
  15. I've also flown about 30 missions in Su-25A with 1.2.3 and haven't noticed any HSI drift. What bothers me with HSI is only automatic waypoint switching, because using one waypoint as a target is very bad for reattacks, could this be made optional?
  16. Without TV the SM is not that much better than standard 25.
  17. As far as I know it is not indicated in the current cockpit - I hope that the light switch will be animated in the 3D cockpit that is in the works.
  18. I could imagine that the free one would get the old pit and the FC3 one would get new 3D pit :)
  19. You can change such behavior through advanced waypoint actions. There you can specify how many passes on target, from which direction, what munition to expend and the amount of munition expended, even minimum attack altitude. There is no problem in specifying attack with a single pass while expending all unguided rockets for AIs or many other possibilities.
  20. I've just tested it and sound in my Su-25T is fine - no afterburner.
  21. bump for this. Su-25s would benefit a lot from FAC/JTAC
  22. fangav - I have the same (working) settings.
  23. understandable - however than it would be nice to stop AIs from landing in formation :)
  24. Any news on this? It would be nice to have the possibility to land with my wingman in DCS/FC3.
  25. yes it really is, after some four months I can finally enjoy the black shark and Su-25s
