I don't understand all the fuss about having Su-27S ... it will be a blast for sure and better fits the era of 90ties than the super modern Su-27SM(X) that is in constant development and several incarnations have already been made. I am sure that the DCS S version will bring good foundations for more modern Flanker versions that may arrive in the future.

The best thing would be to also to have DCS: A-10A with all its systems implemented:)

Or some interesting ones from our airforce, however they are not MTV2: http://www.airliners.net/photo/Slovakia---Air/Mil-Mi-17M/1581351/&sid=41c08c0748c25bc3836960ce30372d17 http://www.airliners.net/photo/Slovakia---Air/Mil-Mi-17M/1871840/&sid=41c08c0748c25bc3836960ce30372d17

BS2 1.2.x bugs and glitches thread (not CTD/BSOD)
Dr_Arrow replied to Erforce's topic in Bugs and Problems
This probably applies to the whole World, but in the Shark I cannot get allied flights to report anything with correctly set comms (everyone checked on 124 Mhz, VHF2, comms in options checked). I wrote it to DCS world general bug thread but don't know if it gets noticed there. -
Well than it seems like a bug - hope other can also confirm and it will be fixed soon.
-
I am running the current version of DCS World, I have checked allied flight reports, radio speech checked and all aircraft are on the same frequency 124 Mhz checked, but they are not reporting anything. I have tested it in Su-25 and Ka-50 (radio set correctly VHF2 124). Anyone else having this problem or is it a bug? It worked well in previous versions.

The best would be to have them all in one DCS pack: Su-25, Su-25T/TM, Su-25U (ok I could miss this one) and Su-25SM, :)

count me in, +1

It would be fantastic to have DCS:Su-25A with fully clickable cockpit. Maybe it wouldn't be that hard to do (compared to A-10C or F/A-18C), because as I read advanced engines' models are there, actuator models are there, hydraulics are there, weapon control system is modeled to some degree, RSBN could maybe be used from Beczl's Mig-21Bis. AFM, 3D 6DOF cockpit and advanced 3D external model are all there.

New 6DOF cockpit for SU25-T Coming soon
Dr_Arrow replied to skouras's topic in DCS World 1.x (read only)
Another great news, Su-25T new cockpit coming - I can't wait, being spoiled by the current fantastic Su-25A 3D pit :) -
Speed, agility, raw power, simplicity, it is one hell of a machine... Certainly not as efficient as A-10C with all sophisticated weapon systems and avionics, but still great and demanding real flying skills. I would love to see Su-25A at DCS level and I also love just to fly it empty or fly different training sorties, realistic attack patterns, realistic weapon employment training, navigation, etc.
-
Please don't stop those frequent updates. Autoupdater is a great tool, very flexible and anyone who doesn't want to update can click no and play their older version. I hope that with this approach we won't have to wait half a year for some small but important fix like broken FFB for G940 until all other bugs are resolved. Now ED can squash them much more efficiently in small weekly updates.

That is sadly a big problem with heavily scripted missions - once you get out of the script it can be unplayable - or if patch changes some AI behavior, scripted missions can again be messed up. It is a big immersion killer for me - having to learn to win a mission and currently biggest drawback of DCS World.
-
This might cause problems, because the updated version of the file can have some other modifications and you will rewrite it with older one.

Guys, this mod is very interesting and realistic - however is there anyway to make the night darker in DCS World - I have set my monitor brightness to 40%, however during moonlit nights I can see ground without NVG and on moonless nights overcast it is little bit worse but I can still fly absolutely safely without any NVG. In FC2 night is pitch black as it should be - in DCS there is too much ambient light. Is there any setting in graphics.lua to reduce night ambient light?
-
It would be great to have Su-25A/T at DCS level. We already have AFM including detailed engine model +6DOF pit and there is no really complicated avionics - just add coms, basic avionics, weapon control system is also very simple. I don't think it would need to much work to bring it to DCS standard and could probably sell very well as DCS:Su-25A as it is very popular in Russia and to some extent also in other markets.

fantastic news, can't wait :)

Can we have this little Huey feature in our BS?
Dr_Arrow replied to sylkhan's topic in DCS: Ka-50 Black Shark
It is, but in certain conditions doesn't produce good behavior - like if you want to trim cyclic during a turn using a rudder at the same time, it will center your pedals and you have to move them again to continue the turn. This produces some "snap" during a coordinated turn . True rudder unchaining from cyclic would work better, so it is really needed even though a mod exists. -
Default curves for SFM aircraft are very very sensitive - so if your Warthog is mechanically moved even 0.1 mm left it will induce a slight roll. That doesn't mean calibration might be off but rather mechanical imperfection. Mine doesn't roll at all left (G-940 user).

Superb SU-25 cockpit in the making!
Dr_Arrow replied to tflash's topic in Lock On: Flaming Cliffs 1 & 2
The cockpit is really the best one in the whole DCS, at least for me :) Fantastic work! The only problem I have with it is, that I cannot fly the T-frog anymore, the difference is sooo huge :) -

I just can't wait for my favorite aircraft 6DOF pit, but the download is so slooow :helpsmilie: -
And you can find even S-300 battery position at 44°55'20"N 37°25'15"E Old S-200 battery position at 44°56'8"N 37°31'37"E Another shooting range is directly in the perimeter of Mozdok Airbase: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=43.780235&lon=44.596939&z=15&m=b

I find Ka-50 cannon fantastic. Lot of ammo, it tracks targets automatically - just put it in the big square box, press trigger and from 2km the target is dead. Vikhr+cannon combo works flawlessly :)

Poll:Would you buy DCS Su-25 and if so what version?
Dr_Arrow replied to Stalin's topic in DCS Wishlist
All of them in one neat pack :) -
sorry, I haven't noticed the quote. The coords are: 44°48'18"N 37°35'41"E However, it is a whole training complex with many different shooting ranges, you can view it here: http://wikimapia.org/#lang=en&lat=44.810705&lon=37.591181&z=14&m=b It would be nice if someone could model the real shooting range there (something like KOTAR in BMS).
