I...ummmm.... uhhh............................. yes? So far it's the only plane I've noticed with the mirrors off. I'll check some more.

Morning, Would you like some more fun? My SU-33 mirrors are misbehaving now. Been like this for a few days. So far I've only noticed it in the SU-33. Doesn't really bother me, but as a good netizen I am just passing along the info.

What a delicious map!

Pretend it's not there and don't look at it.

Nick Grey called DCS a game in an interview. It's also listed as a game on this site, on Steam, and even - god forbid - on Wikipedia. It's a game. And a great one.
-
He's not the only one. My 1TB DCS-only drive is too full for another map. Gonna need a 2TB. moneymoneymoneymoneymoney.................................

Yes. Exactly my thought. Everyone has it, it looks pretty good, and it works like a charm. Much rather see NTTR get some love, and I would be happy to pay for that.

New GPU choice, what would you choose

I bought a "vanilla" 4070 about a year ago and I'm very happy with it. Didn't have to change my PSU to handle it and it was a sweet! upgrade from my 2060 Super. I fly small missions with the eye candy up high at 1440p and the 4070 gives me great flights. I've thought upgrading but no real reason to. -

I've been buying ORBX products for years, and I have faith that they'll keep up their good rep. And yes, it's a great map. These are some quality updates. -

Love all the map work. That makes me happy. -
You got me beat. I'm only at 835GB on a dedicated 1TB NVME. But I'll need more space soon. Was checking out Amazon and a 2TB Samsung NVME is about $200 and a 2TB Samsung SSD is over $300. Seems odd that the NVME is less expensive.

They'll let us know in two-weeks.

This all looks pretty tasty!

Not my favourite map, nor in my top three, but it is a solid map. Just had a couple of great flights, get the lighting right and it's gorgeous. And they did excellent work with the big cities, they look good and good FPS. Nice to see that DCS can have that kind of scenery. Like to see better night lighting, especially at the big airports, but maybe that will come later. But all in all a good and interesting map. Happy to have bought it Day One.

And isn't the height of the monitor reduced? That part bothers me. As for the off to the side view, I admit I like looking at the landscape.
-
No, I get extra sensitive about it. At $500 you hit that $75 mark in taxes. So $500 is $575. That's noticeable. Beyond that, everything is about $100 more than sticker price. After $1000, things start pushing $200 more than sticker price. Bleah!
-
I had the GP850 at $800 because I added in the 15% tax we pay here. Fun stuff, eh? Once you hit the $500 mark, the tax really starts to play a role.
-
The GP750 looks tasty, and Amazon Canada has it at $379. That one is a strong possibility. I stick with Amazon because though they may be the cosmic center of all that is evil, they have given me outstanding! customer service. And my Amazon wallet is already loaded up.
-
Thanks for that. I have the LG 27GP850 now and I'm very happy with it, bought in in 2021, and it cost about the same then as the 32" model does now. The 32" model is "on sale" at about $800 tax in. I thought it would be less, but I'm sure it's very nice. The things we do for DCS.

Can I come over to your house and play? My mom said it was okay.
-
That's wisdom. But faced with the dopamine hit when you click on "add to cat", wisdom is not always right there when you need it. Ice cream calms me down.

Amazon has a few 27" 1440p OLED monitors and they are mind bogglingly expensive. The least expensive is the Alienware at about $1050Cdn. tax in. The others, LG and Samsung, go up to about $1500Cdn. tx in. McNuts! Not going to impulse buy a new monitor, definitely going to keep pondering the scenarios. Appreciate the feedback though.
