I copied my aircarfts folder and renamed it aircraft so I have both before updating and it's still DLing all of the modules. -

has anyone checked to see if the scripts/aircrafts folder was renamed to scripts/aircraft? -

I did, I'm just making sure that there are no junk left over as I was messing around trying to figure out what happened. I uninstalled all mods before updating, but wiped my dcs install before reading the forum. I wasn't sure if the aircraft or aircrafts folder was correct and if I screwed something up. -

Will I lose campaign progress with the patch?

wiped out my downloaded campaigns as well -
I agree with making it possible to make it a viewport

Tried this and wingman now speak English, but ATC is silent.

It seems DCS scales well with SLI right now. When I fired up the visual indicator it is using all 3 cards and is always over 3/4 full.

BS sale So they run out of keys for the F-86 so you can't buy at the 70% off sale. Now it's back at $49. Why have the sale if you don't want to sell it? How many keys were available at the reduced price? It would be better if they were up front with this info. Say your only selling 100, 500 or whatever number of copies at the price. Right now I feel cheated, which is not something I expect from ED.

Using Nvidia Inspector thee is a SLI profile, but I'm not sure how efficient it is. I imagine Edge will make it much more scalable. I run x3 1080p monitors on a tri-sli 660ti setup and have no issue with framerates. I run pretty maxed out save AA (use Sweetfx for SMAA) and tree shadows off. Couldn't tell you my framerates is, I stopped flying fps counters long ago and us feel to shape my perception. Not a big MP guy so I can't tell you how it flies in a busy server, etc.

so an artificial problem

How exactly do you run out of digital downloads? Want to buy it at the sale price and got kicked out half way through filling out boxes and now I can't buy it because it's out of stock?

DCS 2.0 and unified GUI question Right now with the 2 separate processes I am able to run the GUI as a window while the sim in full screen. Will I be able to do that with the new unified GUI? As I run a 3 monitor setup this has many advantages. With the GUI as a window I have it placed on my center monitor. The map and other screens are easy to read as they aren't spread across 3 screens. Same with menu options not on the edge of my outer monitors. Also since it is a window I have acess to my desktop to load different HOTAS settings based on the aircraft I am flying and can access any other 3rd party program such as TeamSpeak and set it up prior to launch of the sim world. If we progress back to a single full screen desktop spanned across 3 monitors I think it's a step backwards IMHO.

Nope, just thinking of how to make it less complex and more likely to work with other sims that don't activate all FFB controllers.

Dumb question about the issue of using 2 separate FFB2 Sticks: Could you split the incoming USB signal to the 2 boards so that they both receive the input signals, but windows only sees a single MS FFB2? Basically a Y-adapter so you are running them in parallel?
-
Never had this issue in the past. So far testing with the F-15 in the stable build (2.7? I think) on my X-65 throttle AB are engaging before I hit the the max mil power detent. I don't remember having this issue in the past. Any way to adjust when AB's engage?

well that was easy, thanks

Been away from the sim for awhile and reinstalled up to the latest version and of course everything is different. Before to raise the eye point from focusing on the UFC to the HUD I would edit under the config/view folder the snapviewdefault.lua file and change the vangle of the defaultview. Well now this no longer works, I tried editing it in the A-10C line, also put the snapviewdefault.lua under user/myname/save games/dcs/config/view folder, etc. Anyone know what has to be adjusted now to raise the eye level to the HUD?

Mixing Thrustmaster HOTAS stick and Saitek Throttle
DayGlow replied to javelina1's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
I run a Warthog flightstick with a Saitek X-65 throttle with zero issues. I choose to go this route because I like the extra functionality with the X-65 throttle with rotaries vs the full Warthog setup. I liked the full X-65, but never got used to the force input. Now I have the best of both worlds. -
Just a heads up. I have an X-65 and found this registry hack to turn the mouse pointer into an actual analog axis mini stick. You have to sacrifice another axis, myself I gave up the rudder twist since I have pedals. Not sure if this is possible for the X-55, but maybe a simple modification of these files would work http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=63794&highlight=Mini

Whats the fastest way to find target distance?
DayGlow replied to Shadoware's topic in DCS: A-10C Warthog
Using GP's or CBU's? If you're trying to pinpoint drop plain old GP's in a slick it would be more trouble than it's worth.
