  1. Part of the issue is the oculus drivers themselves as they have hard coded gamma settings that makes call scenes over bright. It is done to minimize the good rays from the lenses during dark scenes, but it makes night in games overly bright.
  2. Adopters are expensive as you need active adapters, not passive.
  3. Guess I will try labels, but they are magic show everything, even with the ones using dots vs actually having to scan for slightly larger objects.
  4. well that explains why I can't see anything. Wish they kept them until they figured it out.
  5. Even when I set them to very large I don't seem to get any imposers at all. I remember them being huge on my 3 screen setup, but with my Oculus I can't see them at all.
  6. Just tried the landing tutorial. On start the throttles are in reheat in active pause. Didn't notice and ran out of fuel shortly after taking control. You need to move your throttles on entering the sim to change their positions
  7. Love this mod, wish there were more the other aircraft as it makes that bit of difference when flying in VR

    Air brakes

Quick question, the real aircraft has the 3 position switch, but I want to use a 2 way button on throttle, is there any issue not having a neutral position? If I leave the speed brake in open or close will that cause stress and damage to the hydraulics?
  9. Beautiful
  10. If you could use the mouse scroll wheel for zoom it wouldn't be an issue, but in cockpit the scroll wheel is reserved for cockpit interaction. So making keypresses are needed. Just strange that in the config menu it picks up the presses, but in game it doesn't
  11. Well I finally solved it. You have to go into the SST profiler and pick the key you want for the wheel. Make sure to use the advanced command. For keypress, press the key, but press it a bit longer than a tap, I have .2 seconds in the profiler. Mark it as a macro. This way the sim in game will pick it up. The ingame profiler will pick up the normal keypress, but ingame it won't register. A slightly longer key press will. Hope this will help anyone that runs into the same issue.
  12. Right now you can't use the mouse scroll wheel for zoom in the cockpit without turning off the ability to click the cockpit. My X-65f throttle has a nice scroll wheel on it that would work perfectly. This way I could free up 1 of my 2 rotaries for other uses. I've tried mapping keypresses to the scroll wheel in the HOTAS software, but have ran into this problem: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=159677 Since you can right and left click and hold to turn knobs in the cockpit you should be able to map the scroll wheel to something else.
  13. Having the same issue. Deactivated it and reactivated it and it still says it needs activation
  14. I thought I borked my install and just re-downloaded everything. Guess that was pointless
  15. Also Bunyap had stated that he can see the keyboard out of the bottom of his Rift in his videos
  16. This has been fixed? Just updated DCS after been racing cars for the last few months and GUI still spanned across 3 monitors. And now any changes in the MonitorSetup folder doesn't work. Any custom setup doesn't appear in the game option menus and any changes to the default ones doesn't work. Now I can't even get the compressed GUI to see if it isn't working.
  17. Since LOMAC people don't seem to understand that if you can't see the water, it isn't being rendered. It is the base layer of the map, but it's not like your GPU is spending any resource on rendering waves you can't see. It to use less resources to have a single large layer that the terrain is put on top of vs adding complexity of occuling both terrain and water along the coastline.
  18. Why would you want to limit how others use the game?
  19. You still need cpu for the setup of the scene, and with mirrors you have the cpu setting up both scenes, so a faster cpu would work through the tasks faster. Fps would fluctuate because depending on how many objects need to be setup, both in front of you and behind.
  20. This worked perfectly for me

    DCS: F-5E!

Although I look forward to the F-5, I'm a little wary as it seems Belsimtek is very good at starting projects they don't seem to finish them. I'm still waiting for training missions and campaigns on the other projects I've bought and years later they are still considered beta.
  22. Some curve is better than none. My monitor stand won't let me go anywhere near the angle needed for a perfect setup. I think at most I have a 20deg angle on the sides.
  23. Curved game monitors make sense since you are close enough. Same reason why I put a angle on my side monitors in a triple screen setup.
  24. Tried with it on and off. Exited completely out if the sim when toggled, no difference
  25. Noticed while playing around trying to get internal engine sound to the right level. During startup with canopy open the engines are quite,a lot quieter than I remember in 1.2. Closed the canopy and no change in volume, unlike 1.2
