  1. Different style of DOF blur. Simple dof just blurs while Bokeh blur has a circular shape to it 2. Is Bokeh 3. Is a simple blur
  2. Any one else able to confirm that CF issues seem to be resolved? Latest AMD drivers in seeing 90%-100% usage across both cards and even with model visibility on no stutter. :) Now just waiting on the Gui fix for multi monitors
  3. Have x2 290x and multi GPU is working great. Both cards are usually at 90%-100% usage.
  4. There had to be a better distinction between external and internal audio. I want my engines to be loud when I have my canopy open, but very fair with it closed. Turn down world audio and it's quiet no matter what. I remember a bigger difference pre 1.5
  5. Just wondering if there is a way to toggle the overlays on and off?
  6. It will fill the screen. Dcs is very flexible in its renderer.
  7. True, but when I was looking the BK was sold out pretty much everywhere, and when I found one shipping to Canada was stupid expensive.
  8. Bought a Subpac S2 myself http://thesubpac.com/subpac-s2-2/ Looked at the buttkicker, but I use headphones and it seems to be a pain to split and get the proper levels. This is designed for headphones and is ready to adjust the level. No idea how it compares as I never used the buttkicker, but it feels great in all different games.
  9. Something weird going on with DCS. I want to use the scroll wheel on my X65 throttle for zoom in the cockpit. I know that the 2 key commands within the game for slow zoom are the keypad [*] and [/] so I map those to the wheel as marcos. They work fine when I test them. I can go into DCS and into the key commands and there I can see that the sim recognizes the keypresses there. But when I'm in the plane I can't use them. Scrolling does nothing with zoom. I can press the keys fine and nothing. Thinking maybe it's some keypad screwiness I map zoom to my throttle as [ and ] go into the key command in the game and using the scroll wheel I can assign the zoom in the key assignment page, so I know that the proper key is being sent by my throttle. Go into flight and again using the scroll wheel I can't change zoom, but using the keyboard [ and ] I can. :joystick:
  10. Custom curve is a solution, just not a particular elegant one
  11. was pulling my hair out trying to figure this out as well.
  12. Been an issue since Lock On. There is no way to map where the detent is so it never matches up with the physical one on your HOTAS. As more fast movers are being added I hope this is looked at. Falcon 4 had a great feature to map where it is.
  13. If you are using the 3 monitor setting it is rendering 3 viewports and assumes your side monitors are at a 90deg angle to the center. You can use the 1 monitor setting to stretch the single forward viewports across 3 screens.
  14. I run an eyefinity step so my resolution is quite high at 5670x1080. Running in windowed mode to turn off CF GPU sits at 99% with core 1 around 40-50%, core 8 around 60-70% and all other cores down to 10-15%. Enter full screen and both GPU sit at 40-50% with no change in cpu usage. Fps goes up, but only 10 or so. I'm sure this will improve with driver and game optimization.
  15. I find with my crossfire rig that a single card runs at 80-99% use while when both are running they sit at 40-50%. It seems multi GPU still needs tweaking. Still better than 1.2
  16. Mirrors are adding additional viewports that need to be rendered separately. There will always be a fps hit with them on
  17. Run with for capped at 60 with vsync off. Mist tines run 45-60fps with no stutter or tearing.
  18. So playing with CF for awhile it seems I'm only getting 5fps or so more than single card. Watching my GPU usage, most times it hovers around 40-50% while in CF, while it's around 80-90% in single card mode. This is with 3 screen mode as the GUI setting is messed up. Hopefully it's better with a single viewport rendering when that gets worked out.
  19. confirmed for me as well that turning off model visibility got rid of all stutter with CF
  20. From watching Wag's videos it seems flat terrain shadows cause shadows to be projected on the terrain only and not other objects. There was a scene in Nevada where a structure popped through the shadows instead of being protected onto it. It was explained that it was the flat shadows.
  21. Him, interesting. I wonder why. Maybe since it's a 2D sprite effect it somehow messes up sharing it across the 2 cards?
  22. Where is this option?
  23. Same, drag and drop from zip doesn't work. Using the extract to folder option inside winrar and 7zip works, but the output folder can't be seen by windows. Trying to drag the folder from my desktop to my mid folder have me an error where windows says that the folder doesn't exist. Can't delete it. Only way I got rid of it was too go to the command promp and renamed the folder, then deleting it. Using Windows 10
  24. I'm guessing crashes and show stoppers will be dealt with first before performance issues
  25. Stuttering is an issue with crossfire right now. Run with a single GPU to get smoother gameplay
