Rolled back the WMR beta? Sorry but does that mean you rolled back to the regular WMR? Keep steamvr beta as is.

Just happened to me last night with the G2 had to play 2d. Never had any issues with vr. So the fix is to opt out of wmr beta? Will try this evening. Damn if it ain’t one thing it’s another these last few weeks with 2.7 crashing and now steamvr/wmr... I have to much $$$$.$$ invested in DCS and VR. Thanks for the advice and hopefully temporary fix.

Wow ! played for 2-3 hours last night with ZERO crashes. I tried to get the crashes out of the way at start up especially 2nd mission start too and would not crash. Multiplayer BFM server and VR ... no crashes. Noticifations disabled HAGS Disabled Overclocks Disabled

Yeah I get more of my crashes in the syria map. Not much, but when it happens its mostly that map and not to much on the Caucus, PG and Nevada.

I thought this was interesting. Possibly something in the driver packages could be causing some kind of affect. I usually just custom/clean install and didn’t know anything about this process.

Start DCS up. Crash and burn the first 2 mission- make sure a big fireball is happening and then your gtg. No biggy That’s my process after the second crash i can play for hours... 5-6 hours multiplayer with no crashes. this is open beta... we are testers. Like I said before. Add system spec in your signature at this time to help the process. Cheers !

Just a question. Okay so we have to be signed in to DCS to play the sim. So is this considered a server? Just curious.

Oh okay well thank you for explaining. I never had any crashing In 2.5 in 1 year I have been on DCS the day 2.7 came I only then start to get them. Nothing wrong on my end and soon will be fixed on there end. Could be the GTX1060. I’m not a tech guy. Somethings missing at a certain time that causing the crashes, that and a few other guesses. I posted my crashes weeks ago of my method/care. I played on a bfm server cacus map and VR last night for 5 hours and only had 3 crashes. thanks

Is it possible to post your system specs Pocket King. You have not encountered not 1 crash since the update ? Not 1 ? Wow ! I bet it’s an older processor

Seems to be a new setting in steamvr Feild of View fault settings at 100 But then again I’ve been in 2d mode and just now hook my G2 up and glad I did. I love the crisp look of 2d but VR... oh man!

Wow !!! I came straight to page 12 and haven’t been in here in a few weeks and to just see what’s up and looks like you have updated some things I guess and everyone is excited so going back a couple of pages to see what’s up... hell I’m excited just reading the last few post as of now.

Yeah I may give it a test myself. The card actually runs pretty cool/normal 72-75c it’s just the vram and in order to calm that down it takes disassemble and thermal pads or paste. If I was a miner I would have done that already, but it’s actually not that bad as I just run DCS and all it’s glory on this rig. Thanks for the heads up!

I’m looking forward into building my first gaming pc in the future but right now it’s to much of a waiting game ect. I’m on my 2nd year of prebuilt and my new R11/3090 is hold it’s own with DCS which is the only game I play. It took about 3 solid weeks to get it. I’m very happy with this new rig, but when the time comes I would like to custom build my own. All NVidia 3000 series gpu have a vram temp issue but mean plays steady 88-92c while gaming. I think it’s an engineering fault i believe. But the 3090 and VR are like a peanut and butter sandwich.

I just got my R3L and F16 grip mounted on my Monstertech desk mounts and installed the RS program with no issues. Had to rebind stick commands through DCS. The RS program is not as bad as I thought it was going to be. I only care about the pitch and Roll lbs right now. But this product is definitely a night and day experience, it’s like starting over and relearning. I fly center stick with the warthog grip so I not sure what to do now as far relocating the stick to the side as a normal viper pit but I mostly comfortable in the Hornet and the Tomcat so things have changed and just feel like I’m back to square one. I’m really want to get use to the change. This product is definitely a high tech quality piece of art.

I’m going to close out my crash tab. My system has adapted to the first sometimes second crash and it’s good to go. I’ve been playing for 3 hours now with great performance and just beautiful graphics and no crash of any sort. Im sure everything will be better with time. No xmp? I haven’t tried to disable the oc ram yet. I updated the new NVidia 466.27 first mission start and destroy I got a crash but that’s it running solid right now going on 2 hours... so weird.

Maybe something was done on E D side I mean we do have to be logged in to DCS. The reason why I say this is that I’m on NV driver 466.11 and I’ve been having a few not many crashes on at startup/ first 2-3 mission and tonight I had none with 3 hour play time. But will look in to the new drivers for sure.

Wow ! not one crash tonight ! And I tried to get it to crash. I heard there is a new Nvidia driver out but I have not updated it yet. Still on 466.11. 3 straight hours no crash, awesome !
