  1. Just took delivery of a system build with an RTX 3080 and a 3090x cpu (i waited 5 months so i didn't pay scalpers anything ). Like you just flew in VR with the Rift s. Just an amazing experience. Smooth as butter and looking incredible, so much easier to fly those difficult flights. For me Case 1 recovery. I can really nail it when it's like this. So glad I started with early flight sims and matured into these days of wonderful simulations and more importantly VR.
  2. I have Rift S and can see them. Not the brightest of lights but enough to keep on the boom.

    Autumn Sales

How long are the autumn sales on for? I wish they would do this at the end of the month when people get paid.
  5. Brilliant post and one of the best titles to a forum post in years. Made me spit coffee. I approach these things with very small bites of the big cake and then when I’ve really mastered that small bit I take another tiny bite of knowledge and so on. Has served me well over the years. I appreciate that doesn’t really help with the way the controls are designed. I agree with you completely btw. I still shake my head at the madness after all this time.
  6. I agree. Made me fall back in love with this great module. The worn cockpit looks amazing in VR. The HMCS is a game changer and ground breaking, pun intended. ED could have charged more for this and I would have gladly paid for it.
  7. If you slew the designate axis while in HMCS view it will drag a box away from the cross much like you can do in the hud. This will then be where your mark points go, away from the cross. You need to china hat aft quick to reset it to the cross.
  8. Ah ok. I didn’t know TXDSG meat that. To be honest I never thought about it. That seems to be worth researching. Cheers.
  9. Just tried this myself. Works well. There must be a way in future updates to share mark points in your flight via datalink?
  10. It was superb. It was literally about the Kiowa.
  11. Superb stuff. Learning the RIO position is a great experience. The feeling of not having a clue what to do leaves some people frustrated but I love that. Small steps of learning and those ‘ah, that’s what that does’ moments. Literally years of fun ahead.
  12. Great thread. Really enjoyed reading that and some fascinating insight. Thanks.
  13. Unbelievably cool to get feedback from an experienced Tomcat pilot. Just incredible. Many thanks.
  14. I've tried doing it by slewing the pod to a point I want to mark then pressing throttle designate. If you then look on the SA page on one of the DDI's you can see a mark has been created. The bit I don't know and I don't even know if it's implemented yet is how to get systems to then use that created point?
  15. Thanks. That was driving me nuts.
  16. If it's the Supercarier Case 1 mission you are referring to the wind in that is brutal. The carrier is going slow and the wind component is pushing you. It can make you balloon and will have you doing a lot more with the throttles etc.
  17. You can go to device manager then to the usb drop down select properties for your USB port then power settings and untick “allow this computer to turn off this device to save power” It’s worked for me and others too.
  18. Just a heads up for anyone that might be interested. https://fightson.net/tomcat/
  19. Exactly!! Well said.
  20. It's superb. I can't wait to get back into this module.
