  1. Would you be kind enough to share one or two of these missions you describe? Sounds like the type of stuff I am into.
  2. Yep, fair enough!
  3. Send that slab to my house!!! Superb!
  4. i'm hearing a lot about this Pimax stuff man oh man am willing to sell all my vr for this stuff.
  5. I know what your saying but watching those videos it would be great to see guys like that just doing your stuff in that environment without any "wheres the button for this?" Just want to see the purity if that makes sense? Please don't get me wrong this is gold and I love it. It's so fantastic.
  6. Yep superb advice. I often wonder at these people complaining of blurry mfd's etc. Not so blurry for me. Yes not as crisp as 2d but far from the mish mash these folks are talking about. Your point should be a sticky in the VR forums. The demographic population who fly these games point to the older folk or at least on the lower end of the bell curve. So to speak.
  7. Read this stuff https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=228171
  8. I would love to see these guys with better setups. Joystick on the right like an F-16...............really? They have no idea how to do basic stuff etc.....man give them half an hour to get the basics. They maybe fighter pilots but they don't know your rig....man oh man!
  9. That's a great point. I had my glasses cut so that they can fit my headset. Get your eyes checked you ol buggers!
  10. I salute your defence of Steam  I don't use it for DCS but I do for other stuff.
  11. Sound advice. The Robert Shaw quote in your sig had me in stitches.
  12. I used to get flown around a lot in helicopters when I was serving in Northern Ireland. That noise always signified us going away from base or arriving. When in base not on patrols ets we could say with some degree of accuracy who was coming in and out. Different noises for other platforms etc. We had Wessex, Lynx, Puma and the odd Chinook for company troop movement. I know this doesn't help but just a point to make of interest.

    HARM

It hasn't been implemented yet as the above poster said. But if!......... you are desperate for some SEAD action just load-up a couple of HARMS and kamikaze your lovely jet into the Surface to Air complex of your choice and help your friends out by dying for the cause.
  14. Nice one Pikey!
  15. I wish I could help. I don't know your VR setup but the problem was all solved by shutting down the controllers which also work as the mouse cursor interface in VR. If you have something like that I would suggest getting them out of the way of your sensors? This probably doesn't help but it does point to a conflict of 2 controllers being used at once. I hope that makes sense? It's worth bearing in mind that I am talking about Open Beta and we have kind of stumbled on this feature without any official announcements of it all etc. It's all in it's infancy.
  16. Cheers. It was a little fiddly drop down menu in the profile part. Dark corners of the forum.
  17. Great stuff. This is my favourite part of the simulation, trying to master A2A refuelling. Can't wait to try it with the Tomcat. Cheers!

  19. Anyway back on topic. I have a similar setup as the original poster. A 1070, I7-3770, 16gig ram, ssd's etc. I get a constant 45fps and it runs well at 1.5. Good luck and let us know how you get on.
  20. It works !!!
  21. Just read some of your historical post after seeing this pointless post. You say the same thing a lot. You have a recurring theme of being negative and nasty to most posts you reply in. Cheer up fella! I'm going to block seeing your posts on these forums from now on.
  22. I have never flown using a monitor since I got VR. It's still incredible that I can sit in the pit. Things like A2A refuelling are so much easier to master. Don't get me wrong it's still a challenge but it's no longer a massively, frustrating experience. Taking off and landing in helicopters is so much easier. I will never go back and with ED clearly on board with VR it's gonna get better.
  23. I know touch isn't fully implemented at the moment. As such I'm not searching for an ED definitive answer to this but does anyone know how to turn off Haptic Feedback? I suspect it's an Oculus setting but I can't find a way to do it. The vibration gets annoying when you have to touch lots of switches in a row and it drains the battery quickly. I don't use Steam VR. I have heard you can switch it off from within this app. Any help will be much appreciated. Many thanks.
  24. Yep, it was my touch controller. Turned it off and all OK. Cheers!
  25. Does anyone know how to turn off Haptic feedback for the touch controllers. This drains the batteries really quickly and gets annoying when trying to touch buttons on the UFC and MFD'S etc?
