  1. Has anyone had an allergic reaction to the the flight stick and throttle?
  2. Does anyone know how to get XFire to detect DCS World?
  3. I did not say they had them... I said they are working on them. I honestly have not really been keeping up with it. The information I gave was based off of a video I saw of a truck following a road that was supposedly player controlled. It was nothing fancy, just a cargo truck.
  4. Congrats for asking probably the most loaded question I have ever seen on the forums.... Honestly I would rather stay with modern armour. If I want to play WWII I will go play IL2. IL2 is working on player usable ground units as well (last I heard... they may already have them). Does IL2 (the new versions) not satisfy your want for WWII?
  5. I always thought of a submarine as the "sniper" of the seas. If you have played Silent Hunter then you know what I am talking about. I do not think they will ever top the Silent Hunter series. I am sure they will make games with better graphics but Silent Hunter was just well designed.
  6. Thank you MTFDarkEagle.
  7. I know this has been asked before but the search option is sketchy at best. I wanted to know since they dropped Gamespy what is a good way to find FSX servers?
  8. I like to get nostalgic every now and then. The last time I asked what everyone's first flight simulator was. We sure got an interesting list. This time I am asking what everyone's FAVORITE past flight simulator was. I would also ask people to list what new technologies they were exposed to that gave the sim the "cool" factor. It does not matter if the sim pioneered the new tech, (if it did by all means share) only that it was your first exposure to it. I will go first. For me it was FSX. That was the first time I had been exposed to 3D Cockpits (I missed FS2004), GPS, missions in a nonmilitary capacity (very cool), and rewards for exploring. X-Plane 10 was pretty cool to, and IL2, and................ I know many people criticize FSX (I thought it was pretty ground breaking myself) but, I hope they revive the MSFS brand.
  9. I said this on 05-04-2012 (#16), in a thread called DCS World and FC3. I can not quote it because the thread is locked. I'm a bit confused why we have to have LOMAC (released in 2005 mind you) to install FC3 which is a totally different graphics engine. Why would I have to install a non compatible seven year old game to play FC3? I am just asking what is the mentality behind that? Does it have something to do with an agreement with Ubisoft? I just can not understand why you would need a seven year old piece of software to install a non compatible new piece of software. I am glad to see progress was made on this. I wish it had been made BEFORE the A-10A and Su25A stand alone products were released. I might have bought FC3 instead of just A-10A.
  10. NAILED IT!!!
  11. I want the HIND.
  12. The naval sim would have to be somewhat like Silent Hunter for me to be interested in a purchase. I do not want a dangerous waters clone. I do not want something so ultra realistic that it is unplayable.
  13. I know this is probably asking a lot but if anybody has free time and is inclined to make an Mi-8 manual for the community it would be greatly appreciated. Just as a temporary fix until the official manual comes out of course.
  14. Can you post a link to this quick startup PDF please.
  15. I do not think they are common at all. However a Ka50 NEEDS auto-hover because it only has one pilot.
  16. Helicopters do not usually dogfight. It is best to think of a Black Shark as a flying tank. I would never take on a fixed wing with a helicopter. If I spotted an enemy helicopter I would most likely inform a fixed wing so they could go get them.
  17. Good luck Reaper One.
  18. Just think, I was using expensive rockets and missiles to destroy them. Boy do I feel dumb.
  19. Yes the Black Shark needs to be trimmed. The reason you are having issues is because you’re fighting your own AP channels for control of the helicopter. You’re trying to do whatever you’re trying to do and the AP channels are trying to keep the helicopter within the parameters of the last known trim.
  20. Timekilla I think you hit the nail on the head. In real life helicopter pilots have the cyclic handle at the end of a long pole allowing for minute interface inputs. Most home flight sticks only have about what 2.5 inches below the handle? (marking the point of pivot). It is not the program making the flight unrealistically hard. It is our equipment.
  21. I would like the Su25A. How much?
  22. I used to fly with a gentleman named HH MadMax on the 104th server frequently. If anyone has contact with him can you tell him to send me a message. Thanks.
  23. Of course I am promoting my own agenda. My agenda is to have a Track Clip Pro that does not break so easily. I thought I made that perfectly clear. I have an agenda to get rid of wires. I thought I made that perfectly clear as well. I would prefer not to wear anything on my head at all. That is not an agenda but a preference. Has anyone ever made a post on here that was not an agenda? Posts are made with the intent of attaining a goal.
  24. It's my fault? What makes you think the "legacy hat-thing" as you so eloquently put it (by the way it’s called a Track Clip) would be more convenient for me? I happen to find wearing hats very uncomfortable. I think 90% of the people on this forum will agree the Track Clip Pro is a very low quality product. The software and camera are great. My only issue is with the clip. I understand they have a want and need to keep it lightweight however; they have not tried to remedy the design flaws in it either. I also do not like having a wire running from my head to my PC. In my opinion if TrackIR would make their product a bit tougher and wireless I would not feel a need to look elsewhere. I also cannot understand why some headsets do not have "built in" LEDs for use with head tracking software. Gaming headsets should have these built in. A wireless headset with built in LEDs would solve all these problems. Another great option (at least for me) would be my USB microphone with MS Kinect head tracking. That way I would not have to have anything on my head at all. Let's cut the wire.
  25. I hate to say this but I think TrackIR is outdated. I think something like connect from Microsoft (for PC) would be much better. To tell the truth I hate that thing coming off the side of my headset, I hate the wire (wireless would do a lot to improve TrackIR), and I hate the fact the Track Clip Pro (the one with the LEDs) breaks if you even look at it wrong. I hate that it loses sight of the LEDs when I turn my head. Check these out. Let’s move on to this. Or at least make a push for TrackIR to go wireless. You will notice some have slight lag some do not. I think with a fairly new PC it should be a smooth experience. TrackIR has been the only real game in town for a long time. The fact the Track Click Pro is such a piece or crap and TrackIR has done nothing to fix it shows they are getting a bit complacent. I think it is time they had some competition.
