  1. How did you make a template with static objects? Afaik you can't place static objects in a group to save in a template. I looked in the list of templates from this update, and I don't see anything for the carrier.
  2. I set a tanker to a TACAN channel (22Y), and was testing tracking it on the HSI. If I have only T/R selected and 22 in the UFC window, and X as the channel, I still get a bearing but no distance to the tanker. If I select Y as the channel and also select A/A, then I get the bearing and the distance. Shouldn't I get nothing if I'm not on Y and not in A/A both simultaneously? The tanker was setup in the advanced waypoint options with 22Y specifically.
  3. Autopilot is controlled from the UFC, not the DDI.
  4. If there is any brake input or anti-skid is on, you won't roll far enough back for the cable to drop. When you come out of afterburner after the trap, the snap back should be enough to drop the cable, and then you raise the hook.
  5. Thread is about mapping it to an axis.
  6. Issue If you have TCN boxed on the HSI, normally you will see a thick line on the HUD compass tape showing you where to steer. If you press the "Course" switch to change the CSEL value in the lower right of the HSI, you get a course line going through the TCN symbol on the HSI (plus a line and arrow in the HUD), but the thick line disappears from the compass tape. If you unbox TCN and then box it again, the course line disappears from the TCN symbol on the HSI (and the HUD line/arrow disappears), and you get the line back in the compass tape. Question Is it intended we cannot see a course line through a TCN symbol on the HSI simultaneously with the navigation tick mark on the compass tape? We can only get one or the other?
  7. Early access means some things aren't finished.......like the targeting pod.
  8. You have to be on the left wing. That's where the first hose comes out. If the hose doesn't extend you won't get the cleared contact call.
  9. I don't experience this. I've landed after a sortie, requested 100% fuel with the jet off, and they filled it normally.
  10. edited: sorry, misread the first time. The HSI and HUD will show whatever source you have selected...it's not only for waypoints. OSB 4 (ILS), OSB 5 (TCN), and OSB 11 (WPT) can be boxed on the HSI, and whichever one you boxed will have a mark showing on the compass tape on the HUD. If it's a TACAN, the distance and 3 letter identifier also show up in the HUD, as well as the top left corner of the HSI. It's all in the manual, btw.
  11. As razalom showed, you have to set it up as an advanced keybind, and the button has to be held for at least 2.7 seconds (from what I tested).
  12. As of right now you can only use A/G weapons if you load them on a brand new aircraft (cold...never started). Even if you land, shut down completely, and request a reload, they still won't show up at the top of the stores page. It's a bug and should be fixed in a future update.
  13. That means you're too low.
  14. The finger lifts are 9 and 0 I believe.
  15. Only use I've found for the finger lifts is getting the throttle into the afterburner detent while launching on the cat. Otherwise, I don't use them.
  16. Personally I don't have an issue with adding female voices to the sim. Should they be a priority? Imo no. This is a flight combat simulator, and not a gender equality simulator. If ED gets around to adding more variety in voices I'm all for it, but not at the expense of other updates that fix bugs and issues relating directly to the mechanics of how the sim and its aircraft operate. Voice variety is a cosmetic feature. All that said...Elysian Angel's method of introducing this to the DCS community is heavy handed. This thread would probably have gone a totally different direction if she had simply said "it'd be cool if there were female voices and models. Maybe Eagle Dynamics could do that someday". Instead, she opened up with this: Making a claim that women aren't equal here is just absurd. I don't remember a checkbox in the installation of DCS that asked if I was female or not. The sim doesn't care what gender I am, and neither does this community. We're here to participate in this hobby, and afaik no one is actively suppressing women or trying to actively exclude them from participating in DCS. Suggesting that the omission of female voices and models in a sim where we have, at most, maybe 4 different voices, is somehow excluding women and making them unequal is a total stretch. First, not every cockpit has a pilot model. Second, for those that do with closed helmets, you could never tell the difference between a male and female model with the flightsuit, gear, and the helmet on. For the models that have open helmets, like the one you posted a pic of.....sure. Let ED allow a female pilot where you can actually see the face and eyes and actually tell it's a woman. But afaik the majority of aircraft don't have a body, and if they do, it's unisex. Trying to tell people what they can and can't say or write doesn't really help your case, considering you're asking for open minds. I would have just stuck with the request of adding female genders to radio calls and the few models with open helmets. The above is pushing this topic too far outside what DCS is, and doesn't belong here at all.
  17. It was in the patch notes from March 25th when the change was made: https://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=3463558&postcount=8 So...yeah you had to read the DCS World 2.5 Changelog and Updates thread in the Official Updates forum. Nice attitude btw.
  18. How do you know? Are you a fighter pilot?
  19. How come these issues aren't found when the patch is tested before it's released?
  20. They start for me on 2.5.1. Recheck your startup procedures.
  21. Yep. Broken in single player too.
  22. I see it pinned to every page I visit, but I can't read Russian. Can anyone translate?
  23. Is ED not working on CA for 2.5 yet? Lots of issues being reported and nothing coming back.
