  1. ~500. Source is from the F14AAP-1.1B
  2. From the one speech made by that one Grumman engineer, can’t remember his name, he said it was to help “Mach tuck” but shower to be not necessary. But as you said, it had other uses
  3. They are welded shut on the F-14B and our current GR135 F-14A. HB has stated they don’t plan to model it, but if they do, it will only be cosmetic in the early F-14As
  4. F/A-18s fired sparrows at Iraqi ships in the gulf war. It is most definitely possible
  5. Phoenixes come off the rails in a preset sequence for CG reasons. I don’t believe you can fire specific missiles.
  6. Another pet peeve of mine, the 1980s F-14A liveries are close to matte, and don't have the proper gloss finish Roughmet that they should.
  7. 1. Stripe on the top of all VF-154 aircraft in 2003, including BuNo 161276 NF101 did not stop in a sharp end, and actually stayed the same width, starting from the heat exchanger exhaust duct. 2. Anti-slip material on the top of the intakes is missing a section 3. both wing modex numbers are too big, and are not aligned with the middle edge of the DLC spoiler. Both wing modex and USN roundel are too light on our current livery, and are darker (same as front fuselage roundel black) 4. VF-154 NF100 and NF101 jets were not Light Gull Grey FS 16440 as compared to their 1980's liveries. Instead, they abided by the mil-std-2161 that pushed for the Tactical Paint Schemes, which they have been since ~1988. 5. The starboard side rescue arrow does not intrude on the AAR door 6. The canopy jettison warning (below the RESCUE arrow) is all black with body color text. 7. Danger arrows are too far downward from the black canopy rail 8. The wing "airbags" are not as dirty as can be, and can be seen on a bunch of VF-154 jets at Atsugi to be cleaned up a bit. 9. Tail ECM antenna and fuel dump nozzle on the beaver tail aren't washed out with white paint. 10. VF-154 jets of 2003 didn't have "Beware Of Blast" warnings on the rear engine access panels under the stabilator, as well as the BuNo not being in Futura font. 11. USS Kitty Hawk missing aft of glove vane. 12. All ECM antennas were bright orange, and not the faded out brown we have. 13. VF-154 jets had a thin black line along the ventral fins. 14. VF-154 FPU-1/As did not have the black cradle arrows. 15. VF-154 spoilers and stabilators didn't have the "NO STEP" warning, nor did the intake spill door. I can supply as many photos as needed to fix the livery. OR, I can take the liberty of recreating the livery. I have experience in 1:1 liveries with VF-154's 1986 NK101 jet, and I would be honored in making this livery what it should.
  8. 2003, 2x F-14B from VF-2 aboard the USS Constellation with their AAR doors removed
  9. If you are a little more patient, the F-14A GR-95 will be here sooner or later with all the things the Iranian's got
  10. There's a guidance problem with the AIM-54 at the moment that is bleeding excess speed. I'd also recommend firing at the AWG-9 suggested ideal launch zone.
  11. There already is binds for this. Defaulted to the arrow keys iirc.
  12. Nice to see a whole bunch of self proclaimed SMEs in here with nothing but video evidence as compared to someone who has fired the real gun in the real jet
  13. It’s just a jester thing. TID range can be changed however the RIO desires
  14. He’s changing from PD to Pulse, to try and null the possibility of a notch. Due to the unreliability of switching from PD to pulse, the lock is lost.
  15. From what has been said, the variants in game are all we are getting. I do believe that is an AIM-54C with the Mod 2 Mk47 motor which was the upgrade from our current 54C motor. Just off the top of my head, I do believe that is the 54C+ that got that along with enhanced avionics.
  16. From what I understand with the AIM-54C, it will go active off the rails, go to the boresighted target, and then if it doesn't see anything, it falls back onto the STT
  17. If there is an ICLS channel set for the carrier, you can set the ARA-63 panel to that channel in any conditions
  18. Do you have a link to the forum post?
  19. It repeats the pilot’s ECMD compass. Same way the pilot’s HSD is black when the RIO TID is off. The switch is default in the both position, so you are getting all the info you need.
  20. Pretty sure that’s just how NVGs work
  21. Seeing as how the ASF-14 was only ever a concept, there is no place for it.
  22. 54C in the end had better guidance avionics than the 120A. Also, the digital guidance inside the 54C alone should give it a range advantage over the 54A Mk60.
