  1. Looks swampy...which you would rather expect with the hotter unrealistic sun :-p Probably related to the reduced amount of reflection...if caused by the mod at all bc if so wouldn't it also affect the coast?
  2. That is not possible and not intended to be achieved by Helios! Helios is for gauges and buttons. This has always been done by DCS itself and there are many threads on this forum that will help you with that. here is one of them: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716&highlight=export+displays
  3. Adjusting everything back to windowed mode and without SoftTH felt pretty stupid and inefficient I must say. Anyways... running the first instant mission this way on High settings with this setup gave me 27fps (min 22 max 30) Reverted everything to SoftTH I have 45fps (min 35 max 49) Pretty impressive I think! With a bunch of lua modifications to enhance details and viewing distance of structure and cities etc even more I still fly 38 (min 33 max 43) since my display inputs are limited to 60Hz I cap my frames at 30 for smoothness anyways so... PERFECT!!!
  4. TAD SOI -> DMS left long
  5. If I am not mistaken the msg part is explained here..probably rather end of part 1 or part2. Can't watch and confirm ATM.
  6. When you get tired of typing all those in try this here, would be cool to hear if something doesn't work as it should so I can fix it. http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92933
  7. Welcome, Silver Dragon! NEW RELEASE 1.2.1.3 beta (see post #1 and its attachment: http://forums.eagle.ru/showpost.php?p=1528990&postcount=1) New feature: Terrain Stitcher ...suggested by Luckybob9 If you use it extensively and get annoyed by manual welding and relaxing let me know and I build something in for that. Enjoy
  8. come on how would YOU know? :D
  9. :) I was sure it has to be output but don't have Helios at work :D so I might be wrong With input you might be able to push a keyboard button to trigger a Helios button, hehe. ...actually what PlainSight describes sounds very familiar! Stick to what he says. ...output etc :-p
  10. Given that your profile is assigned to your sim correctly you select the button and then (on default layout) in the middle below you see two tabs: "input" and "output". Input is to get sim information into Helios like gauges and output to get commands out of Helios to the sim. So select the "output" tab. Then you should see "DCS" and "keyboard" or "output"..don't remember exactly cuz its half a year ago I had a profile open. DCS lets you link your button directly to available sim mapping. For simulator commands that are not supported or simulator unrelated functions you go to "keyboard" or "output" (again not sure..I can check tonight after work) then you should be able to assign a key stroke or combination. It also should tell you how to write combinations like Ctr+C with what brackets etc. If that's all BS and I remember wrong I will check tonight (which is your early morning) :)
  11. Awesome job TurboHog!! Thanks for that contribution!
  12. I am jealous of everybody who can keep DCS running that long in multiplayer ATM :D
  13. <-- what he said :) What windows tries to do by switching the theme is the same thing...switching Aero off. This is to improve performance a little bit but you do have other issues then. So don't use that feature and leave Aero on ...its not worth it. Not sure about the numlock thing.
  14. De-install current DCSW including modules completely! Hope that funny sound thing is gone then.
  15. That in fact doesn't speak for having DCSworld 1.2.0 installed. Can you check or send a screenshot of your main menu? EDIT: @cichlidfan: nice timing lol
  16. damn I just made the same screenshot just with more and bigger red arrows :D
  17. OH you actually meant the task manager by "closing"..my bad that didn't sound likely so I though I miss something else. I never had that sound in this context but just in case ...do you have "disable aero" checked in options?
  18. close what? the sound? :)
  19. Only time TS doesn't run before DCS should be when doing performance testing or mod testing
  20. Well its probably all multiple times in this thread but considered how many pages it includes by now and how often we went off topic it is pretty forgivable to ask before reading in this case :)
  21. Thanks! I update the download link! It was pointing to the code instead of the file I think
  22. I dared to publish an early beta release of the mentioned mod tools. Would be cool to get some feedback from mod developers. In case nobody wants such thing I spend my rare free time more with flying the sim :) --> http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=92933
  23. Hello Gentlemen! I like to announce or rather offer the first DCS MOD TOOLs 0.1 beta for 3dsmax (should work with 2008 - 2013). The tools come as a macro script and can be installed by just putting them in the right folder (...\3dsmax20xx\UI\usermacros or macroscripts (see demo video for installation))and then dragging them from the customize menu into a toolbar to create a button. The idea was to script some specific functions for repetitive and time consuming or complex tasks in order to ease modding work-flow with the EDM-plugin and export. This is only the start and this beta contains only a few features yet but that's what betas are, right? In order to develop tools for a specific software and modding procedure one should know the process of that software/plugin and how it works...well here is the funny part...I don't. The most I ever did regarding EDM export was exporting a cube to the model viewer. I do have very little time to script so I thought instead of holding on to the tools until I know more about EDMs I rather publish them in an early stage so I have feedback when I get time to continue. At the end of the day this tool is meant to help the Modders among you and I need you to try it and give me feedback so I can extend and improve features. So far I tried to implement what I found in the “Eagle-Wiki” which I believe is in progress so data I took from there might be incomplete and possibly contains type errors. Same goes for the tooltips that I partially attached on mouse over some types and values. At first I started with a fancy compact user interface but later I converted to a “spread” one because I believe that is more efficient for work-flow. At the moment DCS MOD TOOLs v0.1 beta include the following features: There are a few ideas on my list like a search and replace function for user definitions or a automatically bounding box generation etc. but lets see what you guys might need more urgent than that. I hope this project serves its purpose and helps the mod developers among us. If so I will continue scripting features and update this thread on new releases. Feedback is appreciated! Let me know if you have suggestions for features or problems or bug reports. I'm especially interested in annoying and/or repetitive procedures you have to do! :) Thank you for testing!
