This is an uneducated suggestion but did you try deleting the fxo and metashader folder and let them recreate by launching DCS? Maybe there is attributes generated for these shaders specific to your GPU. Could be nonsense but since you're waiting anyway...

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Weltensegler replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
well I hope after reading my posts above you got it working. Otherwise ..."without success" makes it hard to make further suggestions or even know what isnt working ofcourse. -
Same here, since 2.5 I can't lock anything. it stabilizes somehow and updates distance with laser and if I keep correcting I mostly hit the target. But I don't get that dancing lock frame around the target anymore under any circumstances. Not at home right now or would make a track.

Not sure for the Russian planes but in the eagle you can actually fire that request at 5 rpm when spooling down. Buys you some seconds :)

Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Weltensegler replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
Actually yes I recommend putting them next to each other to render less total pixels. 6105600 vs. 6374400(vertical) -

correct! But I would put them next to each other in windows. Not sure it matters that much though since the age of CTR screens is over. and the upper left corner for the left MFCS would be accordingly x = 0 y =1440 --(it has been a while so I'm uncertain if you may need to have 1441 instead but you'll see that if so) if he is gluing a saitek MFCD frame ontop you probably need to add 15 pixels or so to both x and y for the frame ...or for a helios graphical frame. -
Multi-monitor set-up guide & help (unofficial)
Weltensegler replied to MadTommy's topic in Multi-Display Bugs
It depends how you have the aligned in windows kinda. Let's say you have 2xHD next to each other (in windows). and you want the left MFCD in the upper left corner of the second (right) monitor then the left MFCD would have x = 1920 y = 0 and the right one would have x = 3395 -- 2x1920 - 445 y = 0 Same as for the resolution you have to tell where the upper left corner of each element(in this case MCD) is by giving it the coordinates in pixels based on your windows layout. You can still position the second monitor below your other ones of course, the coordinates are about how the resolution is set up only. If for some reason you decide to align them vertical in windows it would be x = 0 y =1080 for the left MFCD to get rendered in the upper left corner and so on. The resolution in option has to be both monitors e.g. 3840x1080 for two horizontal aligned HD monitors. ...at least until someone updates softTH to dx11 so options for you friend would say 4240x1440 again if they are aligned next to each other in windows. cheers -
Sevastopol, where it all began! Oh wait we don't have that anymore :-p

Almost everybody is experiencing frame drops at the moment except those that had sufficient high frames before to not notice the drop when capping at 60. While crucial to report its too early to complain (not implying you do so) as this is the fist beta. Let's hope ED is still optimizing. So long take a look here how to get most fps out of the current situation. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=200906 cheers

Force Correlate (again and again...)
Weltensegler replied to Jowen G. Bruère-Dawson's topic in Bugs and Problems
Try to toggle the boatswitch. Out of and back to center. Thats the only way for me and I assume its a toggle switch script phenomenon like center being an off position that needs a leaving on position to register or something. Anyway give it a shot. Cheers -
So nice! cool project, they really look solid. Hope you dont get interference with your sub-woofer in front of it :D

I asked Wags in a life stream some time ago if we will be able to have twin pylons for example to load 10 slammers and he said "Yes!" He did then though point out that you can already see aim9x on twin pylons in his videos so not 100% sure if he was more responding to the twin pylons than the slammer load.

Please drop in speedtree before launch
Weltensegler replied to boedha68's topic in DCS: Persian Gulf
Used that years ago for a movie but never realized they made it into game engines. Nice! -
I pray it gets fixed at some point. I have a few videos I cant finish because I cant take the remaining angles I need to shoot because the plane doesn't even take off anymore. Same track that was ok until last update or the one before that.

I still have multiple screens but for the main DCS screen I went to one. I don't feel any input lag in DCS but I don't play counter strike or such where you may notice some. There is a very slight ghosting/motionblur if you look really closely for example at night when the stars contrast to sky but its minor and the current TVs are probably already better. When you buy one and the TV says 120Hz for example then that usually means MAX! In other words it can do 120Hz at 1080p but still 60Hz only in 4K. 60fps is sufficient for me and I dont get much more on full quality settings and 4K so I'm cool with it but you should know to not be disappointed if you expect more. I share your attitude to VR. Thanks for the compressor tips! All these options seem pretty expensive and likely noisy though. I may just keep breathing a bit harder like so far. Still easier than breathing in a gas mask :)
-
I will! So far not much has happened except that I went from 3 times 55" to 1 times 55" curved 4K because the peripheral view was not worth the performance and the stretching from the planar mapping the game does. But I finally bought a CNCrouter and the plan is now to convert all the touchscreen setup into a F18-only toggle switch panel setup. Still have to learn that auduino stuff for that but there is plenty of panes to build before I have to bother with wiring and software. At the moment my life is just too busy to make good progress on it. When I do have some time after work then private video stuff, DCS flying, IRL flying and wife want a bit of that too so this is gonna be a loong time project :) But I will post here as soon as I have something close to worth showing.

Shot Breakdown - Buddy Pack (Eagle Dynamics Tribute)
Weltensegler replied to Weltensegler's topic in Screenshots and Videos
I do. But privately is much more fun because I can do stupid unprofessional, inefficient and cheesy videos at my spontaneous schedule and also work in all "departments" :) I have more rolls in the oven. I think besides 1 or 2 more shot breakdowns for this the next thing (already in progress) is a stream intro though I'm not sure when I find the time to stream again. Originally I had a carrier take off in this video but the steam simulation for the catapult was getting too intense. I may revive that another time, maybe when we actually have them so I have to add less CG for what I have in mind. cheers -
Hey DAZnBLAST, the TGP and TAD are from an A10C modified and CG explosion and IR flare added. That shot is going to be the next shot breakdown coming up on my channel but not sure if I get to it before xmas. The tanker scenery was Starway's Caucasus texture mod. Not sure if people found a way around the latest integrity check changes that started blocking it but we get 2.5 soon anyway and Starway even promised to make a new one for that if I remember correctly. Imho that mod makes so far the most beautiful caucasus. You can watch some of the "latest" blueflag stream recordings on my youtube channel to see it in unedited true juicy colors. E.G. in this one:

So happy you are all enjoying it! First shot breakdown is up. https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=197811

Shot Breakdown - Buddy Pack (Eagle Dynamics Tribute) This is just a quick breakdown of the shot's big brushstrokes. It does not include the making of every replaced gauge and display or color correction but should give an idea of my inefficient hoppy "starting off with a screenshot and bring it to life". Enjoy!
-
You did! And I love it! :) Was never trying to compete.
-
I feel honored. Note that you can't compare the work in all departments! GA does not have the freedom to make up stuff as much as I did because it misleads and differs from the product he has to support. Yes I will create more but not very frequently because I have little free time and when I do I like to fly DCS as well. But if one likes a surprise cinematic every couple months then feel free to subscribe. WELD

There are many modules missing but the soundtrack didn't have enough beats for all of them and I wanted to start with a few images of the same type showing the way from flanker 1.0 over lockon to todays DCS World :)
-
Thank you, gentlemen! Glad you like it. Looks like I will make a shot breakdown for some of them soon then. Won't post that in this thread here though. I extended the meaning of the term "teaser" a bit so please don't give ED a hard time with features or preorder products :) ...its meant for entertainment. To the recurring question about the hands: They are my arms in front of an old gopro. cheers, WELD

Eagle Dynamics Tribute (and Hornet Teaser) In light of the long and highly anticipated F/A-18C Hornet and the merge to a new era of DCS environment I dedicate this cinematic to the teams that work hard and passionate for almost three decades to bring flight simulation to new levels and feed our addiction for combat aviation. Thank you, Eagle Dynamics! Details about the cinematic: Lots of shots are made with a "technique" that I enjoy using privately and mostly never publish the final results. Take a screenshot (paint out the watermark if necessary) then replace or animate the background, replace/animate displays and dials and switches etc. In other words "the most inefficient way to produce a shot" ...because I have tons of fun doing it that way. This time I kept at least the direction for once and actualy published the result. If people enjoy it, a shot breakdown for some of the shots will follow and will be shown on youtube or in twitch streams. EDIT: For the first shot breakdown I moved to "screenshots and videos" https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?p=3322343#post3322343 Hope you get a kick out of it! Fly safe, WELD Thank you, Coltrogue and Lumberhax for flying for some of the shots in this! If you are new to DCS or you're just looking for people to fly with or get nerdy about aviation, join us in SPLASH ONE GAMING! The community to introduce to this sim and polish the highest level of fun out of DCS.
