  1. So long you could look down to have cockpit in the background and light the part up with your flashlight (LAlt+L) :)
  2. -Unless I missed something one currently can't assign the TDC to an axis (e.g. slew control). [explained] -Need to reproduce if consistent but when one engine stoped (almost of fuel) my NWS stopped. Fantastic module!!! :thumbup:Thank you Belsimtek!
  3. I doubt they consider this the release version of the manual. I still refers to separate single and multiplayer icons for the DCS World installation.
  4. - F15 guns hardly ir dont at all damage flankers. Hits are good on all other aircrafts. Only tested in multiplayer. 4 stable seconds on flankers at close range firing didnt even cause a smoke trail. Again no problem on other aircrafts. - maybe not a bug or just related to invisible aim9p5 but the dont track or hit even under pefect condition often. Not meaning to open a missile discussion! If this is intended I just learn to deal with it.
  5. You mean because they are invisible or because they track like ballistic rockets? Also flankers are immune to F15 guns but that belongs in another thread I guess.

As much as I appreciate if someone goes against this "early access/beta" fashion these days...I really don't need to wait for a complete manual I'd be fine with us beta testing the current state while the manuals get corrected and translated and tutorials being made as we had it with other modules. ...please?
  8. You don't drive your car into a wall praying you will miss it :) You won't show up on his RWR because your radar will be off until you ID him and set behind him. Then the Radar will help your gun pipper to show you the lead.
  9. you would even notice a difference with 16K textures. The texture resolution is about detail when you get close to the texture. Imagine the whole map had one 4K texture then an airfield would be about 1 pixel maybe and you would stand on a solid colored surface with no detail at all disregarding what resolution you play in or your display can render. Though there is a slight relevance because with a 4K screen/resolution you will be able to see more detail in the distance which the LOD textures have to support to keep the immersion.
  10. The radar has a 10nm range by which you should be able to visually ID. But I hear you. IF the server allows all aircrafts on both sides and doesn't use different skins for the coalitions then this will be a problem in mp. For these cases,... we got "easy radio", auto start procedure and even a game mode, I wouldn't mind an optional IFF ability for match purposes despite it not being realistic.
  11. Agree on the code and sync. The 3D work for cockpit and exterior takes days only. Maybe weeks for a medium skilled lazy Artist. But just the re-coding part will take a while with all the debugging. Even the L39 is still not quiet there yet regarding multicrew. Let's have ED figure out one multi-seat module fully before we ask for more.
  12. I have 55' curved 4K samsung in my cockpit and I dont regret it. BUT be aware...check the details/specs carefully! When the TV says 120Hz for example then that usually means MAX! In other words it can do 120Hz at 1080p but still 60Hz only in 4K. 60fps is sufficient for me and I dont get much more on full quality settings and 4K so I'm cool with it but you should know to not be disappointed if you expect more. EDIT: Never mind your post says you are aware of it :) I should read more carefully myself I guess, hehe
  13. No I meant MP. I don't know a way to do it now and it was a fix thing back in Lock On. You don't fly it home you don't get the stats. Sure its possible it was a lucky bug :)

  16. That's all cool and and interesting ideas for the future, but in case ED actually reads the wishlist posts, all I'm asking for for now is something that was already included once and can possibly added back during lunch time.

  18. Nope, everybody is still spamming refresh...probably for some more weeks :) ED needs to find a solution for the protection...and I honestly don't know how they could achieve it. Respect in advance if they do.

  20. Afaik ED's update will be more on the geometry than on the texture's though. Not an alternative texture update for free that would make SW's DLC redundant.

  22. I don't know the answer but I assume there is currently no Z-buffer for in cockpit. According to performance increase and decrease between cockpit and external views (and simple visual judgment) there is no such effect coded for cockpit view unless ED did so but disabled it because it adds too much of a performance hit within the cockpit. Which of course I hope is the case :) Maybe you can look into the DoF lua and figure out how its done to apply it to cockpit view. Possible though its calculation could still hit fps badly.
  23. Besides the fact that you can make out stuff IRL that your monitor doesn't consider to be worth a pixel...a human eye actually does kinda zoom. Little muscles squeeze your eyeball when you focus on something far away and narrow your FOV. And no you can't see fine without zoom. If no pixel gets rendered it doesnt matter how good your eyes are. Fly a real plane and see how far out you can spot traffic, THAT is what the zoom tries to compensate for.
