  1. Nope That is correct behavior (there might be a classified thing that prevents it). But I've seen this many times in the sim world. So another plane is near or chaff then missile will track. So SA is very important and that is why real pilots brief 6 hours for a 2 hour flight :) But why can't the pilot "kill" the missile ? . All ties are cut and missile is now on it's own. And ask any online pilot, they have seen team kills maaany times ;)
  2. Damage model is far from finished. Fighter jets in real life (f16 and f-18) are delicate girls and fragile. So avoid getting shot sir ;)
  3. The warthog throttle slew is among the worst designs and is not the same as in the real A-10. So ED can't work with it, it is a hardware issue and out of ED's hands.
  4. Yep, also the wind is never perfect, hence the 20 knot offset to start with. Wind IMO in dcs is a bit wonky but one can get used to it :)

    WIP KC-135 MPRS

Thank you and tested with f-18 and works :) Then tested with A-10 and called and called , then came here and got my answer :)
  6. Cool. Nice feature Thanks :)
  7. When it is on, I can manipulate it a tiny bit (maybe 10% stick input) and it will follow the new input, is this intentional ? I know if too much stick input, autopilot will disengage .
  8. Also guys start training with wind from a, lets say, a 20 degree offset. Carrier is way to stale in the water and with wind ...the 3 wire is really a thing to shoot for :) If tha boat ain't rockin...landing is nothing ;)
  9. post your track and we will judge :) Soo many variables that seeing is believing ;)
  10. Squirrel po po have spoken ;) Joke aside thread almost got heated but parties rechecked their stuff and worked the problem. Lesson here, stand your ground but make damn sure you are on the money and be prepared to backstroke ;) Frag ego and get to the conclusion of the problem and get it right, that was the goal. So many fall off the cliff in personal views. Take this thread to many different problems, especially with computers. People stick to their guns, not because they are right but because the solution was the least amount of brainpower for the problem. That way you go with the wrong solution. This video (turn on subtitles) Shows a danish pilot working a critical problem for a long time. Other than a fascinating story, there is a lot to be learned about conduct, trouble shooting etc.
  11. F-18 flight in the middle east :)

    HARM

Also u can fire harm, when you are flying away from target. Won't hit of course, but is harm different in the comms with the jet systems ?
  13. Guys please see Wags video. 10 of your questions are answered in that video :)
  14. F-18 superhornet, and they have a new landing system, very automated.
  15. I remember in Il-2, the skins folder was huge. Some online servers do carry a decent selection of user skins :)
  16. You beat me to it, with that comment :)
  17. Many have wished for a runway damage model, almost since day one :) So far nothing i'm afraid.
  18. CF18 landing at an airport with ils and note the decent rate at touchdown.
  19. Dcs nevada star wars canyon. It is on the Nevada map :) Real life vid.
  20. All I saw was 14 core and the word overclock..... If you need to render 8k video editing and saving , then maybe. I would buy 14 cores to get rid of the need to overclock. And yes there is still no guarantee that any overclock is stable. My cpu uses all cores no problem.
  21. It is to fool the enemy into thinking that the radar blip is a p-51 ;)
