  1. in setup a have 4 different ..which one and does it still need external conversion ?
  2. 1. can I use ME map directly meaning cords if I'm using lat long dec ? 2. f10 map can or not be used ? 3. tgp guy relaying cords works or not ? Frustrated as F ;) I can live with using a external conversion tool but missing data, and wags videos has the data but do not tell how he fraggin got it ;) And that f10 map and ME map are not the same ? (I know we might miss the elevation. on f10 map.) argh Perfect world as it stand right now, use tgp guys to spot for the hornets (gives the tgp guys one job more when winchester) As it stands now the A-10 is the groundpounder but is slow, and we could just null out the f-18 but so sorry came from a platform where I had a fast jet doing both and just taking off with a miced load is just cooler that just A-G only ..no offence meant. Scenario 1. start on a boat ...cool 2. your are loaded for A-G and A-A 3. Fuel ..we have to tank in air 4. Deliver ground and air 5. Long mission maybe tank on the way back to the boat and land on a boat. What I'm missing is the data to gps the frag out a target ;)

    42GB Update

Ed could look into cleaning their install up ....160 gigs is a tad much
  4. This mod should be a part of the core sim if u ask me :)
  5. Cool thanks :)
  6. Noob question This works for humans on blue and red or do we need to connect to 2 different srs servers ?
  7. U said block hehehe f-16's guys are laughing and hornet guys want's a case of beer for that ;)
  8. The hornet we have/will get does not have a auto land system. I'm respectfully trying to steer people away from a wrong option. It is perfectly ok to try but please don't say it is a fix for what is not a problem. :) To flip the coin, making power setting fixed with atc is to remove a element of your movement. You need x components to land and u just removed one ;). Is an autoland system a good idea ...jep and it is on the super hornet and F-35. Sometimes it is a good idea to but the human on watch and not in control. :)
  9. early release and no hard info on what is bugged or not. We have to live with it until we get hard info whether it is bugged or not.
  10. Fighterpilot podcast did a mishap video. To me it nails it, why it is so strict. Frag up and people die. In our sim world u just fragged a persons 2 hour window for some "relaxing" fun away from their real world :)
  11. Also TMK it is not on the f-18c. It is in the super hornet. Also it might be secret sauce.
  12. Sorry to bust your flying. 1. you need to be on speed, which has nothing to do with speed of your aircraft. 2. your aoa was all over the place and pitch is not used on landing. 3. false sense of safety. U took one part of the flying and made it auto and thinks that is it. it is not. 4. Had this been on multiplayer, I would have waved you off for not being on speed. Easier does not mean right. The reason I'm being hard on this, is that your procedure is unsafe and dangerous. There is one procedure which real life pilots follow to the letter and there is a reason for that. Many pilots hate landing on the carrier as it is a very very hard procedure with very high risk. Real life, you will eject before risking the boat and crew. The many crashes we see on youtube, is because it went wrong 2 seconds before touchdown. Too late to correct and people die. There is no corner cutting on this procedure. The F-18 super hornet have a system to make the procedure more safe and make the human factor less. We don't have that system and need to follow the procedure made for this action. It is tried and tested, do it this way or don't fly around the boat. So please guys do not follow this procedure. Just be honest and don't land on the boat if you can't. I don't refuel in the A-10 cause I can't get to grips with it. "But it's just a game" ..true and feel free to try all you want, but when posting a procedure to "make it easier" which is incorrect, it need to be told. My first ever try on landing was not to code but I did it. But I'm not saying it is the way to go. I posted it to show my first ever try and I got lucky. Real life I would have been send to a land base. To sum up ...speed has nothing to do with landing...it is aoa and sink rate and yes you do use speed to control both but the actual speed of the plane is no factor. Speed might have influence on your sink rate and aoa but speed is not the factor. So nice landing under wrong terms. Please don't see this as a personal attack but as a friendly heads up. Do it right or don't ...no inbetween here. Tough yep ...welcome to the most difficult thing in modern aviation :) Here is my attempt from 2 days ago ....by far perfect but it try to stay within the procedure..I just need to get better :) My video
  13. One trick is to really be on it and video it. U will see when u loose one component and when u see the loss you work it, and forget the next component. So after 90 degrees the hole thing is fragged. When in the pit it is hard to work. When u watch it on video, you will quickly pick up the first moment of loss. It's like a house of cards, one go they all go. I too struggle on the last turn especially the last 45 degrees, i'm too narrow or too wide. But it's my discipline of the 30 degree bank, The god damn jet keeps rolling, so the time i see it i'm at 35-40 degrees.....well then just compensate the other way right ? ;) Yeah i have 15 seconds to do so. :) So it is a many things at the same time game......now don't give up after 5 attempts, it takes 50 at a time , that's the discipline, so treat it like playing a music instrument, practice practice. I've found myself so focused, that i forgot to fly the plane safe. Here is one for kicks... 330 pounds left 2.5 miles from the ramp. Straight in of course....well if I sink, I need to add power that takes fuel that I don't have, don't have the height to trade for speed either . So dap the power to come in higher with the risk of slamming into the deck at 1500ft/m......So I'm eyeballing it and make the deck pre wires and snag a lucky 4 wire. Turn off the landing look down 110 pounds left ..3 seconds later flameout :). Had I not practiced well splash....had I practiced more, my judgement of height and fuel would have left me with gas to spare :) .
  14. Sorry for these maybe noob questions.... scenario 1. Host DOES NOT have tacview but has enabled export of data..will client be able to record ? Scenario 2. Host HAS tacview and enabled and no delay and one client have export on but no tacview ..will we see this client ?
  15. Not getting my money before I see a clear project frame. Or pay me as a beta tester not the other way around. :) Is early release part of the funding of the project ? What is the legal side of such an arrangement ? I mean the must be some rules on the subject. "As is" is very big ballpark. ;)
  16. left display is just not for certain info screens..live with it :) Remember it was designed before people were spoiled with custom options on all things. I'll bet ya if ms windows was less customisable, it would crash less :)
  17. We have farps for the choppers. Thinking an "stock" airfield of a kind. (so we can make fictive missions from Kuwait) :)
  18. Yep :)
  19. Nvg's is battery powered to my knowledge. https://www.harris.com/solution/harris-an-avs-9-aviators-night-vision-imaging-systems Search your controls for flashlight :)
  20. My 32 gig ram runs at 2900 mhz, no probs here. Remember ram these days get hot. So bad ventilation and ram pushed to the limit is a bad combo. My system won't even post beyond 2900 mhz. Pushing system to ,let s say, 110 % of factory spec, then you in unknown territory. Humor me and run stock on system. With stock i mean, by any means use the factory boost options. It only takes one bad capacitor to make weird problems , if you overclock cpu gfx card and ram, then u just tripled your chance of problems. I run dcs in mid 60'ties fps on missions. Overclocking is a marketing tool first and real gain at number 100. ;)
  21. Android ?
  22. just wrapping my head around this :) On map N 25:12:885 E 54:14:273. Some convert the .885 by 0.885*60 and type that number in ?
  23. At this point Original poster is more confused, no trim flying, atc etc. Always check your choices as the internet will say all kinds of things and many are not right :) Lex is a former F-18 pilot and has a video on this. Lex has a discord aswel. To OP, Go there for correct information :)
  24. Ehh you know that ATC is auto throttle control right ?
  25. To be blunt friend :)...You need to search both videos and posts If still in limbo ..come back and ask regarding to the specific thing you need help with. You questions right now leave most people with more questions to your questions :) Also if you might wanna search for a group that will teach this while you are in the game :) (that is how I learned back in the day) I took the plunge online and got lucky. Many of them are close personel friends here 18 years later :) But welcome to the flight world and don't give up, will you be the best ? that dosen't matter, no flyer does this alone :) Only one question how new are you brother...? Dcs can seen quite battle orientated and have many skilled battle operators ....good aviators hmm not yet ..but they are not bad :) Sorry to answer your question with a question but I feel your question merits it :)
