The Bulgarian AF MiG-21bis' have participated in quiet a few joint NATO exercises mostly with/against squadrons from USAFE flying the F-15 and the F-16. In open BVR it's nothing but a target drone as it has zero BVR capabilities, especially in head on. Whatever you do you need to bite your target on the neck from behind. But I've read some interesting comments from the US pilots who admit that the 21 is a nasty adversary in a hide and seek scenario. It has very small RCS and an effective terrain masking makes it very hard to detect. These tactics have been successfully used in penetration scenarios and in number of cases the 21's have managed to sneak in undetected. Though they've had to be completely silent - make your presence known and you'll be in trouble. The MiG-21 just can't survive on it's own in a modern air combat due to it's obsolete sensors but it could still be a though challenge if it's used smartly. That involves either AWACS or GCI to give to the 21 pilot situational awareness of what's happening around, most likely above. So for sure it will be a challenge in the DCS world to be successful with this legendary airplane. You'll have to give it a lot of thinking and planning before you step into combat. Should be great fun, just can't wait to fly it!

Those are MiG-25's from Voronezh AFB, they are carried to a shooting range nearby to serve as a ground targets. Sad indeed, the last Mach 3 plane in service to end up like this. Those 25's have flown actively up to 2012. Video -

OT but this 'right amount of money' are billions nowadays. Russians won't display something serious unless they want to sell you stuff for quiet some cash. It's called advertising. For that reason it is highly unlikely for them to send anything to the US even for fun. Those visits in the early '90s have been just political moves, now it's all busine$$.

No Su-25?! Boooooo! :D The Su-35 kicks a$$ badly, Su-34 is awesome with it's side by side seats - very important for a bomber. In one word - either of those work :)

That might be the case. I used to have two but got a ticket by an admin one year ago and confirmed my current one and they got merged. Though I see my BS2 serial in the serial numbers manager. It's only from the payments list that it disappeared.

When I log in, in Payments I was able to see my purchase of Black Shark 2 (with serial) which I got may be two years ago. Now I don't see it anymore, I only see the order for the FC3 and Su-25 which I just purchased. What could be the reason?

AFAIK the A-10's cannon is not just a weapon but a major structural component of the fuselage.

This cockpit is a move in the right direction. Actually anything improving the Su-25 virtual experience is a move in the right direction. Big time! :thumbup: Nothing personal, just my extremely addicted opinion :D
