  1. Yep, and this. I can confirm 2.7 inherited this lag as well.
  2. ED: WIP, be patient... xD
  3. Definitely an ED problem... But doesn't really bother me tho, the freeze is like 5-10 seconds and it only happen once when you start your DCS playing MP on that day. Rearming again, switching sever, the freeze does not take place again. There is definitely something wrong with 2.7 along with the FPS loss people are reporting. They are probably looking into that. Hopefully.
  4. Nose authority has nothing to to with turn rate.... Also CG doesn't matter in rate fights. Your jet is almost 90 degree bank and your lift vector is also 90 degree perpendicular with the vector the gravity is pulling you...
  5. You can try it yourself. The link was provided for you. We were talking about turn rate not turn radius. Turn rate is what matters in a rate fight.... You are not making any sense, which makes me think you lack knowledge in BFM don't really know what you are talking about... Anyway, you can mess with that graph with different weight all you want, the fact is Hornet will have better turn rate than the Viper.
  6. If you want the Viper to weight heavier in that test graph, its turn performance will be even worse than the Hornet. What's your point? Viper's turn speed is not slow enough?
  7. No FM change on the Viper or Hornet in 2.7
  8. Then you are flying the Hornet wrong. Maybe you just don't know what you are doing.... The concrete proofs are in the topic and basically all over the place in the forum. I can't convince you if you are just ignoring and denying the facts bro.
  9. Wrong. I know you are a Hornet driver have seen your posts in the Hornet and Viper sub-forum. You like the Hornet's current FM and you just don't want it to be "nerfed".
  10. Dude I don't think you actually know what was actually going on in that video, or you just lack BFM experience in DCS. GS was not flying the Hornet properly to RATE FIGHT the Viper in that video. In the 1st and 3rd round that he lost to the Viper (in the 2nd round the Viper went for 1 circle so I'm not going to talk about that round), he was not trying to rate with the Viper but instead he was trying to lure the Viper into a 1 circle fight, but the Viper pilot did not take the bait. From a 2 circle perspective, GS in his Hornet was either over speeding above 500 knots or pulling too much and cashed all his energy. i.e. He was not flying the proper rate speed in the Hornet. That is why he got out rated by the Viper and got shot down. I'm not saying GS is a bad pilot and doesn't know how to rate fight in a Hornet. I watch his videos and I know he is capable. BUT GS clearly stated in that video that he was trying to demonstrate what will likely happen IRL, which a Hornet will not attempt to go 2 circle with a Viper (I'm literally paraphrasing his words). That's why GS did not try to properly rate with the Viper, despite the Hornet can out rate the Viper in almost every scenarios in DCS (paraphrasing GS again). So you stating that the Viper can out rate the Hornet in DCS based on a video where the Hornet is not flying properly to rate fight the Viper is clearly wrong. I suggest you re-watch GS's video and pay attention to how he flew the Hornet and what he said. The Hornet can our rate the Viper in all speed ranges with or without the paddle in DCS. That is a fact. It's not someone's opinion based on paper stats. I have had numerous dogfights (in 3 digits I believe) in DCS Just Dogfight severs. I have never been able to out rate the Hornet in a Viper. In a Hornet however (which I don't really fly nearly often), I can out rate almost anything, and the Viper is one of the easiest jets to out rate in DCS.
  11. Thx. So this confirms that in DCS, F-18 out turns F-16 in all speed ranges and has tighter radius.
  12. I highly doubt the fps loss happening to some people (me included) in 2.7 is due to the new forest & scenery details factor settings. Because I have tested for numerous times that even when flying above an area of empty ocean towards absolutely nothing in front of me and no objects in my view. The FPS in 2.7 is about 30% lower than in 2.5. Also just looking up at an area of empty sky with no clouds, the FPS in 2.7 is also lower than 2.5. That's why I do believe there is something wrong in 2.7. Also I noticed water quality kills a lot of FPS even if there is no water in the view.
  13. Is the turn time sustained or instantaneous?
  14. @Cmptohocah Well according to Harker and GGTharos apparently the missile can tell So we can agree that there is something wrong in the DCS that is causing all those friendly fires with 120s in MP severs.
  15. That's why I stick to the Viper. I have gotten used to the response curve on the Viper and do kinda like it(I have 0 curve and 0 deadzone with a warthog stick). Now if I switch to another jet like an F-15 or M2000, I just feel the response curves are way too sensitive (with 0 curve). When I save up enough money, I'm going to switch to FSSB and get the authentic experience of flying the Viper.
  16. Hahaha. Also super bug is different from legacy bug right? I mean we don't have super bug in DCS.
  17. Thx for letting me know.
  18. IMO the macro vs cheating talk is nonsense. There is no rule against using macro in DCS. It's like saying a user using a warthog stick beat a user using a cheap logitech 3d pro in a dogfight competition is cheating. However, if there is a rule against using macro in a match, then you can call it cheating. But I doubt there is a rule like this out there in any dcs competitions.
  19. Is this the correct behavior in real life tho? I have had situations where I STT locked a target using ACM mode who was 3 miles in front of my nose flying level not doing any maneuvers. I was pointing my nose straight at him and I had visual on him, but the 120 just went crazy and made a high G 60 degree turn and went for a friendly on my left. I doubt 120 is this stupid IRL. Datalink should tell the missile which target to go against. Why would USAF employ a missile that locks on to any random target that is in front of it instead of going for a target the launch aircraft tells it to go for?
  20. Apparently, R-27ET can lock on, track, and kill a target even if the target is above a thick layer of clouds in 2.7, but targeting pod cannot see through the clouds (which is correct). I thought the new clouds are supposed to affect weapon system like IR missiles and IR sensors. Or is this feature still WIP? Kinda annoying since Russian jets can just hide under the clouds and fire at you, and you won't be able to tell since you cannot see the missile trails when they fire under the clouds. Also, if clouds do block IR sensors, Russian jets aren't supposed to detect you in the above scenario unless they turn on their AA radar or climb above the clouds.
  21. Same here. Happens in MP, but after the first freeze it doesn't happen again (unless you restart DCS I think).
  22. Yeah could be. Desync also explains why missile still kills the bandit despite destroying your own wing.
  23. Block 30 and 50 do not perform much differently. Block 50 is heavier but its engine also has more thrust. Aerodynamically, the two Blocks are the same. F-16's FM has some issues that prevent the jet to perform as it does in real life. The biggest problem is the lift curve causing the jet pulling way too much AOA at certain speed, therefore losing too much energy during turns. I guess you don't do any BFM flying the Viper in DCS. If you do, you wouldn't be calling the current problems with the FM some minor issues.
  24. Yeah it's such a pain in the ass doing any PVE air to air now. TBH, 2.7 broke a lot of stuff.
