Hi @Snowbird -Tom. It looks like you are using a Custom Made Module (CT-114 Tutor created by Grinnelli Designs). Are you getting the 3D Model pointers in any other modules or just the CT-114? The only other time I can remember seeing anything similar was when there was a Module Conflict - Try uninstalling other MODS or backup/Rename your Saved Games\DCS.openbeta folder and see how DCS works when it has to create a new one. Got to love those old Tutor Jets... seen them many-many times during CNE Air Shows. Cheers.

@KeyserSoze62 I made the switch from OVGME to OMM the last time I had to reload My Operating System. Moving to the supported Manager was easy enought. Even upgrading to this latest 1.2.1 was painless.

Just completed the UPGRADE and all is working as expected Nice refresh of the user Interface too! I only have 2 Channels for DCS. On the first start of Open Mod Manager the "Channel Area at the top" was too small to display both lines of the channels without scrolling. Once I located the Manager Options under Edit and toggled and applied the "List views icons size" from Normal to Large and back to Normal all was good. Thanks @sedenion

@sedenion Thank you for this. I will install and configure the new version over the Holidays and or when DCS releases the December Open Beta Patch. You made if very clear and bold but I only realized what I need to do during my second read through : " please uninstall the previous version before installing this one." It may be helpful if you edit to make it Big Bold and RED? " please uninstall the previous version before installing this one."

How to reduce the haze on all maps
YSIAD_RIP replied to Kurdes's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
Maybe you have a typo or invalid character in your local edit?.. Here is a link to a thread that has the file with a version of Taz1004 from Kegetys edits described in another thread. -

Tobii Eyetracker 5 - Micro stutters
YSIAD_RIP replied to Jamie_G's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Depending on how far down the "rabbit hole" and how much time one has to tinker there is also a GitHub tutorial using FacetackNoIR + (The Free)OpenTrack and its Hamilton Filter. I tried the FacetrackNoIR and OpenTrack combo earlier this but returned to GameHub after they added the new features called: [ Relative Head Positon and Head Position settings follow current camera orientation]. Have a read if you have some spare time:- 23 replies

[Official] SimShaker for Aviators
YSIAD_RIP replied to f4l0's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Thanks for noticing @f4l0 .. I thought the latest Beta "was 2.6.9" and I downloaded it last night : ) I just used the handy link you have in your signature and the FIBE is working and shaking great on 2.6.10.0! Cheers! -
TAA ghosting slightly improved as of 2.9.1.48111?
YSIAD_RIP replied to REDEYE_CVW-66's topic in 2D Video Bugs
Don't get too excited - but I also noticed some improvement using TAA and FSR as well. Installed the Patch Late last night and only had a few minutes to check. Another place where TAA suffers is in the Mirrors when flying flow. The Mirror quality is full of motion blur with the trees and terrain as you pass over rocking your wings etc.. Selecting Res. of cockpit Displays 1024 vs 1024 Every Frame may make a little difference. ED has its hands full fixing bigger problems, I am sure they will get around to getting TAA to work as well as it does in other sims in the future.- 1 reply

This is another handy MOD that Eagle Dynamics should include in the SPECIAL OPTIONS MENU.

I just installed it. I like it! It does remove the haze and requires a recompile of the shaders.

Spitfire HD Gunsight and Light Tint Armoured Glass
YSIAD_RIP replied to Grajo's topic in DCS Modding
Still a great mod in DCS 2.9. Thanks! FYI: In-depth YouTube Video of Spitfire Mk V - Gun Sight MkII: https://youtu.be/Lq8NBk42BJ4?si=ORvdJLBG264q6xXL -
Hi @6S.Duke thanks but I am not sure what you mean by "partialisation" command. I did not see any reference in the bindings or the MB339 Manual. The ON/OFF Command does not help for the toggle switch used as a flap like in the Logitech X56 throttle with a slider switch operating as an On - Else Off switch. I am happily using Quaggles Command Input Injector so I am still pleased. I am also looking forward to your next module.
-
Especially an ON Else OFF for AirBrake. {down = AirBrakeLeverOff, up = AirBrakeLeverOn, value_down = 0, value_up = 1, name = _('Airbrake Slider - Extend/Retract'), category = {_('Flight Control'), _('Throttle Grip')}}, -- for Slider Switch on X56/X55 or any 2 Position Switch |UP = Pressed & DOWN = Released|

Barthek's CAUCASUS REDONE 2022
YSIAD_RIP replied to Barthek's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
So far so good. Great MOD! I just re-installed Caucasus Redone last night and can never go back to the Default.. lol.. I can only speculate with "hypothetical conspiracy theories" as to why Eagle Dynamics has not added Caucasus Redone and TAZ's Better Trees to the Core DCS Files. -
I agree that the Manual for the Additional Cams and springs does not have more detailed info on the force and curves of the included cams. Fortunately, the Download PDF for the J2-2-BASE-User-Manual on page 4 does have some of the information you may be looking for as to how the cam forces are distributed. FYI: technically you can install Cams and springs on all 4 sides of the base for "MUCH MORE FORCE". Note that doing so means you can't install the optional dampers. I tried it once for fun - I think it is better for center mount and if using the full extension option. Good luck!

I started experimenting with the DCS 2.9 Update on my RX 6800 this evening: Currently, My Primary Resolution is 2560 x 1440 In the AMD Software, I have Radeon Image Sharpening Enabled and Sharpness at 30% In DCS I have: AMD FSR Scaling = 0.8 Sharpening = 0.3 Using FSR Scaling below 0.65 the image does look more blurry/fuzzy. You will need to increase Sharpening in DCS if you are not using Radeon Image Sharpening in the Radeon Driver. Cheers.

Thanks @Raz_Specter: I do not doubt that the map will continue to improve. Since this was Razbam's first MAP I would expect that there have been many lessons learned. Cheers.

Everything that 2.9 and 3.0 will have to offer! If you don't ask you don't get. Higher visual quality and better performing Anti-Aliasing: The distracting amount of shimmering on distant structures is heartbreaking. MSAA X4 is too much of a performance hit on all but the most high-end GPUs. Currently, I am using ReShade with SMAA.fx and Temporal_AA.fx to help with performance and minimize the distracting shimmering.

Thanks. I managed to get Fluid Motion Frames working after I disconnected my two Portrait Monitors and uninstalled then re-installed the AMD Preview Driver 23.30.01.02 using DDU. Sadly - It stopped working after some time of tweaking and testing. These are Beta drivers so I will look forward to better stability in the future - NO Rush.

Hello @sedenion - I 100% support and agree with your position. I recommend you update the First Page of this thread to include the Sourceforge URL. The vital thing to know is that you are not alone in your thinking.

Good News with the subsequent patch fixes. It would be nice to see Trim Speed / Sensitivity settings added to the Special Options Menu too. I recall the free MB-339 already had this. Cheers
