I am just happy that ED made the Map available for a 14 day Trial. Nothing wrong with trying it out first hand for myself and deciding if it is for me at this time. I also have Kola, Sinai, and South Atlantic. Thank you @Eagle Dynamics for giving us a Trial of this Early Access Map.

New SimHaptic for bass shakers works great!
YSIAD_RIP replied to Peedee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
@rkApps.shop Thanks for creating and supporting versions of your app on DCS World. I see you are now on Discord rKApps and the latest versions should now auto notify when an update is available. Looking forward to the next update to test! -
I am good with Female Pilot as well. Nothing wrong with it. What I don't need is Identity Politics, DEI and all the negative cancel culture, virtue signaling baggage that comes with it in DCS. I get enough of that non productive nonsense in Canada.. No Thanks!

New SimHaptic for bass shakers works great!
YSIAD_RIP replied to Peedee's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The Developer rKApps has been busy this month they just released another updated to SimHaptic and DCRealistic today. Can't wait to try them out. I was really impressed when they fixed the performance issues in the previous updates. My ButtKicker and 4 transducers have never worked better. -
New Look and Feel for the South Atlantic map
YSIAD_RIP replied to Raz_Specter's topic in South Atlantic
The only problem I have with the nicely updated South Atlantic map is finding more free time to explore it. -
I have been testing it out with my RADEON RX 6800 and the latest DCS version. I gave up on AMD's built in driver Fluid Motion Frames running in full screen because I had it working once but then it just never picked up DCS properly again. For my case LSFG 2x is working surprisingly well when I limit my frames to just under 72Hz (71.655 approx) using RTSS. I have a FreeSync 144Hz display. The DCS Built in frame limiter and Radeon Chill are OK, but resulted in noticible stutter when using headtracking. Cheers.

solved No headtracking with Tobii Eyetracker with latest update.

The SZS DCS GUI Launcher Utility has three buttons to launch DCS. Try NOT using the first DCS LAUNCHER. Use the 2nd BUTTON called LAUNCH 2D. It works for ME! Also when you hover over most menu buttons a quick help discription pops up. Some very nice quality of life features in the SZS Launcher -
DCS: AJS-37 VIGGEN Complete English Cockpit Mod
YSIAD_RIP replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
I agree. I have the Mod Installed in DCS Root Folder and it looks like once I select "ENGLISH" in the Special Options Menu all is looking fine. -
Barthek's CAUCASUS REDONE 2022
YSIAD_RIP replied to Barthek's topic in Texture/Map Mods for DCS World
I just Re-Installed the Caucasus Redone Mod after the DCS 2.9.6 big update and Batumi has never looked better. -
I have been using the Latest Version of DCS Updater Launcher GUI ver 2.00.38. @SkateZilla thanks for the Update! The new Official DCS Launcher is OK, but it does conflict with my Tobii Eye Tracker 5. Regarding App Settings UI: I use the Classic USNF Theme because it has different colours for the DCS LAUNCHER, LAUNCHER 2D and LAUNCHER VR button colours. I would be nice to see the others themes also have different button colours for the actual ounces that are used to Launch DCS. Cheers.

New Look and Feel for the South Atlantic map
YSIAD_RIP replied to Raz_Specter's topic in South Atlantic
@Raz_SpecterSouth Atlantic feels like a new map. It really is much nicer today. The Towns feel more alive too. The lighting and other improvements really did the trick. I need to fly a few more locations to see if the annoying pop-in of ground rocks has greatly improved as well. I am sure Kola will be nicer too since some of the same updates were repeated there. Thanks for the map.. Glad I have it. -
Tobii 5 headtracker not working after update 20240711
YSIAD_RIP replied to Blowbob68's topic in Input Devices
Tobii 5 is not working for me with the New Launcher Selected either. Not a problem. I disabled it and will continue to use Skatezilla's GUI Launcher -

RKAPPS: DCRealistic Video Showcase
YSIAD_RIP replied to TFS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
The DCRealistic and SimHaptic Programs from rKApps is certainly worth a free look while some of us wait for the next big DCS Patch. Looks like rKApps have been doing a lot of updates to DCRealistic via Public Beta that is addressing and correcting the early performance issues. https://rkappsus.wixsite.com/rkapps/forum/dcrealistic/v1-0-2-public-beta-performance-improvements -
RKAPPS: DCRealistic Video Showcase
YSIAD_RIP replied to TFS's topic in PC Hardware and Related Software
Testing DCRealistic now. So far I have noticed Frametime Spikes and Micro Stutter when DCRealistic is running. I have done all the troubleshooting that I could and have left some information for rKApps on their Forum. -
RKAPPS: DCRealistic Video Showcase

Definitely worth a try with the 7 day free demo. I have used FSrealistic in the past and enjoy the highly customized tweeking you can do for each module. -
From my experience in corporate disaster recovery and problem solveing: Always have a Solution/Plan A, Plan B and a Plan C. Checking out the Eagle Dynamics Downloads > User files, I see @Quartermaster has released several Remastered Cockpits for 2024. Celebration of 10th years producing DCS Mods. This may be a good time to check them out and refresh/revisit some of the older modules. Cheers.

I love ED and I Love EA because of the discounts. During the last CH-47 delay I ordered this stick extension from my Winwing and will try some stiffer springs too. https://qr4rigs.com/index.php?main_page=product_info&products_id=172 I can wait another month or two for the CH-47 When the Eagle Dynamics Videos from Wags start to trickle in is when many more will decide to finally make their purchase.

Thanks for the fresh historical skins for the MB-339 @6S.Duke. For an unknown reason I could not get the skins to show up when I Extracted the archive within \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Mods\Aircraft They did all show up when I installed the skins in: \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\MB-339A\ \Saved Games\DCS.openbeta\Liveries\MB-339APAN\

DCS: P-51D Mustang Complete Gray Cockpit Mod
YSIAD_RIP replied to Devrim's topic in Utility/Program Mods for DCS World
Got sick of the DCS green cockpit default - Just installed this and it is a nice change. Thanks! -

Nice Guide indeed! Thanks - The Guide is especially useful for those just getting into DCS or for someone that has been away for a while. Re: Head Tracking There are so many excellent choices now depending on budget and preference. It is really hard for anyone to go wrong as long as they do their own research and ask around. I got my TrackIR 5 back in 2011. It is still working and I even "fixed/reinforced" the TrackClip Pro with epoxy to address the poorly designed fragile system. Tobii Eye Tracker 5 is so much better now then it was when it first came out. For anyone who has a Tobii Eye Tracker 5 they really should try the Beta Camera Boost feature if they have not done so already. It does help solve some of the lag and movement issues that I hated in the beginning.
