  1. There is a Manual? I love this Little Amazing Bird.
  2. Agreed. I get the same. Some Microsoft Patch probably created the conflict.
  3. Time to give Afghanistan another go with the DCS "TRIAL". Looks like I have plenty of room on my DCS Terrain SSD.
  4. Same here.. Been using Mod Managers for over 15 years. OpenModMan is the latest "Child" to Ovgme and written by the same Developer. I recently started trying the new SLAM YouTube Demonstration of SLAM. I like SLAM because it uses Symbolic Links, is fast and does not Move as much data around when compared to traditional Mod Managers. Good luck @Ghostrider142
  5. Very happy I got this map as soon as it came out. Watching it improve over the last few months has made me feel like it was money well spent. Thanks.
  6. Congrats to all the F5E fans. ...I am Happy to pay for the update. Thanks. @Eagle Dynamics I hope you find updates like this profitable enough so as to continue updating the other legacy modules like F86, Mig15 and the UH-1H. Good luck.
  7. I feel your pain. I used a rubber Tarp Bungee that I picked up from Princess Auto. Most hardware stores carry similar. Used a 9 inch and cut it but 4 inch looks good too. Had to "drill" bigger holes in order to slip it over the mounts where the spring usually goes. https://trisontarps.ca/store/product/tarp-strap-bungees-with-crimped-s-hooks/?srsltid=AfmBOopZj7AWK10yba4CWXUu--eo26BtFzgcr5-nP3HzPkh8nl0BrjFy
  8. Outstanding @Morpheus just downloaded and flew some of the new airfields.. Normandy Map looks so much better with this Mod! And also thanks to @Barthek
  9. The glorious fact that Eagle Dynamics Allows any Mods is one of the reasons I love this platform! When mods stop working I trouble shoot and see if there is a conflict with another mod or I wait to see if there is a workaround or an update to the mod. Regarding "Mission Editor Requires all mods used, to be present"... The mission MIZ files can be edited to remove the requirements. There is a very handy utility from Loophole in the DCS User Files Downloads that I have been using for 2 years. It is a Drag and Drop Solution and still works because I just used it tonight! https://www.digitalcombatsimulator.com/en/files/3322208/ I am blown away the more I fly the OH-6A Mod and use the asset packs provided because the quality is so professional. This is an A+ Job and @tobi and @Eight Ball have really outdone themselves!
  10. Indeed @BIGNEWY and @Eagle Dynamics the mod is a truly a no brainer. Hope this makes it into a future "Weather - Update".
  11. MB-339A/PAN = Improved coloured smokes (red and green) Very Nice ! @6S.Duke It looks like this improvement is only for Player Controlled Aircraft because the AI still has the old light pink and light green smoke.... ( Not even a First World Problem -- just saying! ) .
  12. Yep. @MAESTR0Get rid of the Motion Blur. Also make sure you are doing your video capture at 60 FPS no need for anything higher because YouTube is what it is. Good luck.
  13. As a "temporary hack" for Syria I renamed the Syria.sd5 file so that at least I could stop the stones and some other ground clutter from "growing" in. \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Syria\surfaceDetails\xxxSyria.sd5 I hope Ugra Media and Eagle Dynamics can get around to fixing the pop-in Surface Details in a future patch.
  14. Yep.. I starting posted comments on this today as well. Looks like an easy low hanging fruit problem for DCS to solve. The Slider option to remove or reduce the surfaceDetails is a very reasonable suggestion! And there should be an FPS increase on the ground as well!
  15. Thanks for the Update @NineLine. (Edit 1) As a Hack I just tried Renaming the Syria surfaceDetails folder to \Mods\terrains\Syria\surfaceDetailsxxx. And the map still look very impressive without Trees - lol (Edit 2. ) Renaming Syria.sd5 is less of a dramatic hack >> \Mods\terrains\Syria\surfaceDetails\xxxSyria.sd5 One solution would be to include a Slider in Special Options or in the Setup Menu that can minimize or remove SurfaceDetails. I also got about 14 more FPS on the ground with Syria doing this renaming butchery. Good Luck to the Map Makers and Eagle Dynamics on finding a more professional solution. Cheers.
  16. 100% Agree with the thread! The artists and Devs that create these maps deserve a lot of credit for the details that go into these maps that probably 90% of the users never realize or appreciate. Just for fun and as a HACK I Renamed the Syria.sd5 file to: \Mods\terrains\Syria\surfaceDetails\xxxSyria.sd5 I really thing a Special Menu slider to remove some or all surfaceDetails would be one workaround to the POP-IN distractions on all maps in DCS.
  17. @tobi, thanks for the OH-6A v1.51 update. I own the Gazelle and OH-58 but just love how exceptional the OH-6A has become! tuned friction (again) ---- Much appreciated!
  18. @Webber, I have been using TOBII for over 2 years. The one thing that has impressed me is the updates and enhancements added to the Tobii GameHub software since I first installed it. Camera Boost was a very nice feature! I stopped using the eye tracking in DCS - it works but not good for DCS at all. The recent addition of Opentrack (Beta) is exciting because that it is brilliant software and offers greater compatibility for use with other games that we can't talk about here.. lol I used TrackIR5 for years but hated the tracking issues when external light sources or some daylight from a nearby window would interfere. Obviously the $$$ COST $$$ of Tobii is a negative when compared to some of the excellent FREE solutions out there. In the end it all depends on your budget and your passion to try new things. Good Luck
  19. Just watched the same video because it popped up in my Youtube Recommended feed. In the comments there was mention of an SU25M Mod being developed - Hope it is a is a success.
  20. @Retnek I agree. I can only assume the developers have their own artistic reasons for the green saturation. You may already be aware but there are a couple of mods out there that solve the problem. Darker Normandy - Simple Gama Changes to the shaderOptions.lua VIVID NORMANDY- Many changes to vfstextures and some to shaderOptions.lua or
  21. Agreed. Not much you can do with the Good Old Nevada Map these days. I remember buying this when it first came out with DCS 1.5/2.0. For now all I do is try to fly near sunset or sunrise and set gamma in the Desert.lua to something between 1.35 and 1.45 and sometimes use the "New" Blue Tint Color Grading filter found in the SYSTEM options. -- Line 6 in \DCS World OpenBeta\Mods\terrains\Nevada\shadingOptions\Desert.lua -- surface = { ['landShadowsSharpness'] = 0.2; ['diffuseGain'] = 1.2; ['landAOminimal'] = 0.43; ['gamma'] = 1.43; -- Default is 1. Values of 1.35 to 1.45 are OK ['surfaceColorBias'] =
  22. MiG-29a will be another DCS Work of Art. If it comes over the Holidays.. then Merry Christmas!
  23. So far so good. I have a fresh 63GB MOD file. On a site note I am happy because I can install and uninstall the MOD in seconds using SLAM.
  24. Very nice addition to my DCS Mod Library! Nice to give Caucasus a refresh from time to time.
  25. Very happy to have the Mirage 2000 and glad it is still on sale. Not worried about it's future.
