feel your pain. I'm building an aces seat and im investing in some lube on top of the extras im about to buy. Should have just bought the ceap racing seat off ebay and some 2x4s. Looks good, but i would like a center-mounted option for something like that. Volair has one, but the shipping might be outrageous edit: seems there is a center mounted option. its just hard to see.

I'm very interested Andre. I'm in the middle of finishing up construction of an aces 2. Looking for the cushion part of it. Could we pm about a possible quote on something like that please?

Andre I was looking at the aces seat mod you have a photo of. Was that sown from scratch or just modded from a customer seat pad?

We were running a squad training focused on sead in the 25t and harriers. 80% of our missles failed to hit or even track the targets even at close range, they would fall long or just auger off the rail. Not sure what the issue is or if there's been some parameters changed in the new version. But they've become useless for the task of sead. This was an entire flight of su25's.

I agree with the above statements. Had a 1070 with the rift. The immersion is so amazing even with this release that I upgraded to an 8700k with 1080ti. The first time I got it up and running I just sat in the pit for 15mins looking around. I'll never fly reg screen again.

You running 1.5 or 2.2? I had a 1070 and yes had to turn stuff down for the rift. You're pushing more pixels now because of resolution so you'll have to turn some stuff down. If you're trying to get the most out of it you'll have to upgrade that gpu to a 1080ti honestly. Try 2.2 it runs better in vr for the most part.

I have a issue with my left arm so I plan on binding as much as possible. One thing in particular is the ability to flip switches on/off in vr. As well as modes and countermeasures. Vox could be another option. I'm thinking about redoing the old x36 throttle I have with a Leo board and put the switches exactly where I have some dexterity. I can see the buttons being a little overwhelming for sure. Although I like the 4 way hat with button on every axis. It would be nice to disable the button on some of them( guess you could just not assign them).

Like the title stats did you get charged an import tax for your VKB or VIRPIL stick? I understand that the vkb is still in the process of being shipped so there may be less info out there, but how about those of you that ordered the VIRPIL? and if you wouldn't mind sharing a ballpark of what you paid.

Are we still required to pay import tax on these? both virpil or vkb ?

So was it pushed back again? Or was that just for the first batch being completed?

I'm going back and forth as well. I do like the mcg features over the virpil stick (more hats, buttons) . Ive been put off by VKB's approach to delays and customer service response. I want them to release the best product possible however, I think it could have been handled better. Like you mentioned virpils customer care seems to be on top of issues which is very welcome but the QC issues are scaring me a little bit. I do like the collaboration with Baur as ive considered his products over both. Availability goes to virpil and I'm hoping they hav ironed out the bugs which could be present in the batch of VKB's that come out Friday (hopefully). I do like the curved extension VKB has, virpils should work with after market warthog ones too though.

The release statement had vulkan api listed so im sure it'll scale well. I just upgraded to the 8700k and have yet to test it with 2.0. I'm going to upgrade to the 1080ti for my rift. where as 1.5 is about single core performance 2.5 will be better served with multicore chips, if you do a search you'll find more than adequate performance with either.

What server will this be hosted on? the reason I ask is some servers (TAW) euro server to be specific, I lose my force feedback in my stick everytime. i just want to make sure i don't have issues.

Can't be delayed again if you cancel your order. I think i'll wait and explore other options after all.

i have the same issue. I see it in air start mostly. they work sometimes, others not. makes it difficult to dodge those incoming missiles.

Ble. My seat needs a new stick and the virpil availability is starting to look enticing. Did they give any sort of time frame? I don't wanna have to wait til next month only for it to be pushed back again. I know you don't control vkb but any suggestions would be great.

I bought the plans for the seat and got a quote to get it cutout. I would love to print and cutout the plans themself, but im having a really hard time getting this converted to print. Any help would be great. seems i cant get the scale i want and ive scoured the internet. Wish the dxf files came with pdfs so you can hand saw it. I sent flim an email and msg but havent heard back.
