I made a video with CS3 and I think it looks like crap...and the final rendering was over 2gbs. Anyone here good with video editing? Im not looking for tips on making the video pop out with special effects, I more interested in making the video high resolution with a decent file size. The other stuff I can figure out on my own... Vid in question is this one: Its just a demo flight, but there will be more to come once I figure out this thing.

SO what exactly is the problem offering EDs very first advanced flight model for free? Just because A. its not a clickable pit, or B. not a full 6dof cockpit? The fact that its free, and still meets OR EXCEEDS any other flight sim not developed by ED should say something. Falcon 4.0 is still going strong, it looks like a bag of ass to me, you dont see me telling those F4 fanbois how to uninstall their garbage. Ask them about their advanced flight model based on railroad tie ins.

Not to worry: I still have the first LockOn disk from the day before they released it, the original LockOn Gold disk, the LockOn FC download AND the original LockOn disk from LockOn Platinum. If you dont have the disk by now, then something is WRONG WITH YOU.

The sun is visible through this object on the windscreen. It disappears when the sun isnt behind the bezel, but it does appear when it IS behind the bezel, and the sun is completely obscured by this.

Old WW2 warplanes used to navigate by LORAN up until the late 60s. There are still LORAN stations available, but they arent really used anymore. I dont have P-51, but there should be a radio receiver in the cockpit somewhere where you can dial-a-LORAN station. But LORAN also has to be modelled in the sim as well. Russia uses a similar system called CHAYKA. Most LORAN stations are now off the air as of 2010, as well as CHAYKA. But the systems can still be brought back online.

You know what would be really nice? If the controllers wouldnt talk every 2 seconds and announce EVERYTHING. Been a problem since LOMAC 1.02, and its STILL a problem? Think I have it figured out... What is the mini mouse on the right throttle paddle mapped to? I have it working somewhat now, but it still gives me a little grief. Ill post a track later if I dont have it fixed by the time I get home from work.

Yeah I held the trigger for up to 5 seconds in both cases.

So its been a while since I last flown FC, but I never had a problem launching weapons until now in DCS World. I turn on the optics, lase the target, I get in range, I get a launch authorize, and I press the appropriate button on the joystick....and the space bar...and the enter key...and the trigger...and the fire button...and everything else I could think of, and I cant get a 25L or a Vihkr to shoot off the rail. Is anyone else having this problem? The other weapons work just fine.

A Q9650 will fit that socket. If I were you, and had about 400 bucks to part with, I would just go with a new 2500k, a Gigabyte socket 1155 motherboard, and 8 gbs of Corsair DDR3.

Its all fun and games until you find out you might as well replace everything. About the only thing you can salvage from that old computer would probably be the memory, but even then I doubt that since the Q series chips ran on ddr2 memory. If you are gonna upgrade, do it right! Memory, cpu, motherboard. Make sure your power supply can handle it...the Q chips sucked less power than the 2500s, and youll need at least a 650w psu to supply it all.

Screw it. Ill just port all my other games to my storage disk and create new shortcuts when I relocate them to the new array. Ill just reinstall windows. Did I ever mention I hate Windows 7?

Thats great! Im getting a second monitor for this computer, and would be nice to set it up like this. Problem is my first monitor is connected with an hdmi cable, but the other outsource is the old style CRT plug, not the DMI.
