  2. Meiner Meinung nach nur für Drohnen und Bomber sinnvoll. Einen Luftkampf gegen ein Flugzeug mit einem menschlichen Piloten an Bord würde man - meiner Meinung nach - nicht gewinnen. Da fehlen einfach die SA und Reaktionszeit. Und wie man vor ein paar Jahren im Iran gesehen hat, sind gesteuerte Systeme immer angreifbar (hacken).
  3. You're right, there were a lot of other factors, as well. But a static/ ground based infrastructure is naturally more vulnerable than a dynamic. And has more (tactical/ strategic) limits, such as the horizon/ ground. There are a lot of GCI radars that were destroyed since WW2. But how much air-based radars (such as AWACS) were destroyed since their use?
  4. And we saw, how vulnerable that doctrine was in operation Desert Storm. The Iraqi Forces used that Russian/ Sovjet doctrine as well in combination with one of the largest and densest radar and anti-aircraft networks in the world - which was heavy limited after the first few hours of war and useless after some days of the air campaign by US led airforces. The russian did some serious analyses about their hardware after the war and the value of french-built HAS.

  8. Better this way, than like EA do it with its BF titles (or other major publisher with its AAA games), where you have a date one or two years in advance and get unplayable or very bugged games.

  12. Nice trailer. I heard a "check in" by the F-15s with Magic ... nice one. :thumbup: But to do it a little more real, you would add you posit to the check in. So, the call would be "Magic, this is ??? 1-0, checking in bullseye 230/40, 20 Thousand, as fragged.". Magic would check your posit and answer "..., radar contact, bullseye same, your task XX, picture [the given picture]." ;) kind regards, Fire

Q: Is it possible to mix different bomb types (HUD/ release modes) on the aircraft, MK-82 and MK-82 Snakeeye for example? If yes: How can I see, which weapon is selected? And is this possible for different bombs as well, MK-82 and Mk-20 for instance? Thanks in advance, Fire

  19. The pitot heat switch is behind the master caution switch.
  20. A few years ago, you could do that with the AIM-7 as well. If you shoot before you reach the burn through range and your opponent keep the jammer on, your SARH missile will fly HOJ though. I don't remember, if you have to break the lock before burn through. Was a nice trick to kill some noobs, which fly straight at you with music on. But your missile needs a lot of energy, so minimum Mach 1.2 at launch.

    Literatur

    Für Fans der Albatros gibt es seit kurzem schicke Lektüre. Da ich auf Amazon bisher kein Buch zur L-39 gefunden habe (egal ob Englisch oder Deutsch), ist es umso interessanter. Falls ich demnächst dazu komme, schreib ich hier eine kurze Rezension. Gruß Fire

  24. The navigation lights (wingtip lights) aren't synchronised in multiplayer anymore since 1.5.4 patch. I can see my own nav lights, but not the lights of my comrades. Same the other way around.
