I've experimented with curves for the last year. Now I use no curve but a slight shift of the Y axis for the faster boom n zoom planes to allow leveler flight. For turn n burn planes it's best not to mess with it, a linear default curve will give you the edge in turnfighting to win the donut energy race contest. Accuracy near the centre rarely helps because most shots that save your life are taking when the stick is not center. These are my warthog profiles for the planesets: http://www.oceanicwing.com/Forum/Main/index.php?topic=426.0 All else is default. Also I've reset my D7f rudder to default it's best. Also - warthog stick is the best for this sim, it is so accurate once you get some hours in you'll see what I mean. Other sticks limited me.

$2.99 per plane until the 26th. Good time for you guys to pick it up and join us in the skies over France

Thanks! Looks like your daughter is a topnotch A-10 pilot, can she plink 6 tanks with JDAMs yet?

Yep but I think with a powerful graphics card and a quad core you need stable power and amps. Got any specs on your psu re the amps on 12v? With PSU brand name matters more than any other component. This one for example http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139011

Hi, I may know what it is... I had this EXACT problem and it was only black shark that stressed my system to the point of rebooting from not enough amps to my graphics card. Which power supply do you own? What brand and what amps? I had an 850w and not a good brand, when I investigated I found the 12v rail to be not so many amps. So I upgraded to a Corsair HX1000 - after the PSU upgrade I never ever had a reboot again. So it was definitely power supply ;)

Excellent ideas thanks guys you have convinced me to keep PAC, no reason not to. I was just not using the right tool at the right time. I'll switch it off just for those occasions I don't want it. Also - I will try not to engage stage 1 trigger too early! I will only squeeze stage 1 when I am sure I'm lined up. Cheers
-
How often does one attack single targets :) I'm greedy I guess... But maybe I was doing it wrong - I was holding first stage trigger to stabilise when lining up, this was locking me in position. Are we supposed to just pull the trigger through BOTH stages at once as we run the pipper through each target, instead of holding 1st stage through the run?
-
I had a CH Fighterstick, with only 1 stage trigger. I continued my maneuver to hit multiple targets in convoys etc. However now I have the TM Warthog, 1st stage trigger when engaging is making it hard to aim. I actually found it easier before to use no PAC, then put the pipper below the target, and let the recall raise the gun through the convoy (with slight stick and rudder movements). Is anyone else preferring to have only one stage to the trigger?

For me it was always A-10A custom payloads mod. Disabling this with modman and I can get onto 51st.

Maybe I screwed the script up.. You see I dropped CBU-105 first to take out any chance of AAA or MANPADs at the site, however this triggered the success messages coming up - but the bunker was still standing. I never dropped my big ass bombs on the bunker, as all talk was now about this vehicle I was frantically trying to find that and was told to contact FAC for targetting. I'll try and kill the bunker next time first and then come back with the CBU :)

Hi, What HOTAS/Joystick are you using?

Ive been down the curve path before, but linear is the most real I like it and the hog stick is very precise. Linear helps me fly on the edge of stall and do some hard missile evasive maneuvers. With a curve the non linear response creates jerkiness as you move towards the edge of the stick it moves too fast. In exchange for that a curve does give you more resolution near stick centre so it can suit some people if they don't do any hard flying. I have played alot of hours in rise of flight with twitchy planes like the sopwith camel though so that's trained my hand I guess, I find the warthog to be a fairly smooth flyer and the cannon very accurate at default setting.

Yeah he was contacting me at the start, saying various things etc and I did destroy the camp which was confirmed. However a message came that someone was escaping in a vehicle and would drive west - contact AFAC for targeting. He didn't say anything else for so long that a mig came and shot me down. I avoided and tried to get aim-9 on him but he got me :) Very strange too because I don't know of any chopper in the mission, only the eyeball vehicle. For the mountains anything near WP 1-4 I just flew above the clouds, always a bit scary when you have to duck down through them again but I hugged the flight path.

Thanks Jeffy! Only need one page on my desk now instead of 4 :) +rep

Actually I think I forgot to press the "load" button after setting the frequency :)

Hi All, What's the correct way to contact AFAC? In the Serpent's head mission after destroying the camp, it says to contact AFAC on 131 for targeting information.. So I set the top radio (AM) to 131, then try the mic switch to the JTAC option but there are no options. I leave the radio switch on MAN. How do I contact the AFAC in this mission? Is it not JTAC? Is it a flight? Cheers

Wingman calls out targets. Then hit 7 for a2g mode. Then use ctrl tilde to cycle threat. They will be marked by diamond.

I do exactly the same it's quite good. Up and down mic switch is zoom. Push down mic switch is teamspeak. Then with the paddle as modifier, I use it as the actual mic switch. I use a target script for my assignments

Hi Eagle, This is a bug with the DCS series. The multiplayer menu is actually not generated using code that scales to the "main" screen window (like the single player does). Until they fix this, you have to go into the res resource files and edit the location of the buttons so that they move within your screen view so you can click them to start the game. There's a few people posted some common res file edits that move the buttons may work for you. I have gone back to single screen as it's too hard to make this work perfect in multplayer, and also I like the high framerate of single screen. Good luck!

Maybe they are building something like this: http://riseofflight.com/en/Community/Leaderboard  Universal stats, interesting but not really representing truth.

Yep, the slew rate in the blackshark already seems to be on a low setting. If the compat patch brings the slew code from A-10c that will be great. Maybe I should set max axis at 30% or something.
-
Yep are you using target script or GUI? The target GUI is not very useful at the moment you have to edit the file in notepad for double keys that are not alt ctrl etc. If script you use the chain() function. I've moved to using target script only and have some awesome profiles now but it's time consuming to build and test.

Has anyone managed to setup the Thrustmaster Warthog throttle slew control in blackshark? No matter what I do in the curves and saturation etc, it is still VERY jumpy in Blackshark. If anyones been successful please let me know.. Cheers

How about waypoint 4 Navy Ships? Haven't tried that yet
