  1. +1 would be nice to get some mileage from it
  2. To be honest the C is more fun, but given the historical aspect of your videos the A would be a good choice.
  3. Some recent Training flights on the TFK server
  4. The sand colour under the cities lets it down for me, I think thats what makes the left image look better. .
  5. Honestly the biggest issue with using your browsing laptop for gaming is all the time it takes to set everything up and then pack it away after each session, but it does save having a second PC, and you can get a reasonable gaming experience on one. Anyone telling you otherwise doesnt have a current gen gaming laptop.
  6. Advantage of the L-39 is that its an actual training jet and the systems are simpler by comparison so you can spend more time getting comfortable with fundamentals, but yes in reality your not paying for fuel or the airframe so you are better to choose your target jet and learn the basics and then learn systems one at a time. I still for the life of me cant employ a HARM from the hornet but have been working my way through the LGB and JDAM tutorials until I am happy with them. It does mean I cant take on all missions in the hornet but I can so some things reasonably now. If you take that approach you may find it a good place to start.
  7. Yes I agree, if you are budget conscious and happy to only run one throttle the TWCS is a good choice. The buttons do line up very closely to an actual hornet
  8. I think thats a bit unfair to SRS, its a great mod and the integration with DCS is really fairly seamless. Getting it to send input back to DCS to change channels would be much more complex to achieve and likely require you to sync all the controls anyway
  9. Really great project DCS needs more of these 'usability' mods incorporated into the core
  10. DCS is a good engine and the terrain though perhaps small compared to the two civil sims is well done. Personally I think all the airfields I land at in DCS are well done and the cities around them are good where a lot of the time the default scenery in the 'global' sims is pretty poor without gigs and gigs of addons. Given the level of fidelity DCS provides and what weve seen with the EDGE and Eagle its fair to say the sim does support civvie aircraft nicely and offers far better damage and systems modelling than any other sim. Given the Utility focus of the Huey its also fair to say people enjoy doing those missions. I'd love to see a Caribou or Spartan module offered or even a Herc.
  11. I reckon your approach would suit some desert storm Hog videos on PG.
  12. ok looks like its finally hit Sydney, I blame Australia post...
  13. and yes "Snake Eyes at Sunset" was some of your best work to date!
  14. Your 'tutorials' are like a BTS video where you actually learn about the air-frame. I really enjoy this approach.
  15. This is honestly fantastic, thank you for giving me something to aspire to with my own work.
  16. There s a generational release of graphics cards in September so while you dont want to wait for 'the next best thing' you are buying just at the end of the cycle. Most of us are waiting until then to see what the 3000 series cards do to the market. If you were going to buy now I would recommend a 2080Super or 2080 over a 2070 as it will allow you to get onto the newer VR headsets like the Reverb Pro or Reverb G2 (again what were all waiting on) My understanding is that with the 2070 you will struggle without sacrificing settings. for reference heres my current preference on a build if I was going to get one tomorrow. Prices will be different where you are but should serve as some kind of reference. https://au.pcpartpicker.com/list/6cBbQq
  17. I said it before and I'll say it again, I want to play a sim based in your videos. The thing most missing from DCS is that sense of 'game' that GS2000 and Red Baron had.
  18. Check my spec below, its an awesome laptop. I use it happily to play DCS at 1440p 40-60FPS (actually 2560x1940 with the MFD output) because I dont have a good desktop and got this specifically for what you got yours for and then some video editing, but being able to get back into DCS has been a nice bonus , Biggest issue I have is the hard drive is half gone with DCS, office and a couple misc tools so you would be better to get a 1TB NvMe drive than a 256+1000gb. I kicking myself for not spending the extra on the RTX 2060 just because more FPS and only having 2 RAM slots I have no ability to upgrade RAM easily, but honestly the extra HDD is probably the only think it really needs for comfortable gaming. At 1080p I was getting 50-70FPS. By default you want it on power to run or it handicaps the thing terribly and it does get noisy with the fan and as suggested above 'hot' though the cooling on this laptop is exceptional.
  19. I would suggest 3 is not a lot...
  20. Excellent theres a lack of proper free module add ons for the sim, so anything that adds that rather than just replacing a mesh is a welcome addition IMO
  21. I didnt realise this was modelled on the jeff, its really an awesome feature.
  22. Yes honestly in this day and age being able to communicate via voice would be the minimum I think

    Pilot

I dont think pilots typically hang out on the deck
  24. shu77

    Pushback

Would be nice to see that next level of immersion added to the sim
