  6. Yeah thematrix isnt the end of the world, theres just a lot of cable at the end of it if you are working in a confined space.
  7. Took far longer than I care to admit to get up there, being a fixed wing pilot, Helos are a very different concept, but getting up here should be part of the AH-6J qualification process
  8. The Edge 540 does this with the prop as well I thin kits limitation of the engine myself
  9. I've been using a bodnar board for my project, the two big issues are the USB type B plug which is very large and and length to a project and the matrix wiring for switches can be a pest to work with if you are short on space. if you can work with that its great.
  10. Most recent update Cleared and awaiting international departure LANGLEY (GB) Date & timeFri 19 Jun • 8:02am Starting to become a frustration....
  11. Something of a mini update. Have been struggling with the Twist throttle behaviour for days so decided to swap out the rotary with a slide resistor, but couldn't find a way to mount it so gave up and added a rotary to the side as an additional axis which I had originally intended to do as zoom, but figured could double as throttle while I tried to find something else But in the process of configuring it and the slider I realised the problem with the throttle was that I had assigned the throttle resistor to the X-axis on the board which meant Windows was trying to 'centre' it when I finished regardless of where it was. Moving the resistor to axis 8 on the Leobodnar board had Windows recognise it as a slider which meant it stopped trying to centre the axis and it now works. I am getting about 200 steps across 40ish degrees of travel which is a little low but seems to work fine for a helo throttle. :)
  12. Great series!
  13. Agree a forum would be great to keep track of whats out there.
  14. Theres also a mod called DATIS which adds ATIS info to DCS World based on mission info, it would be great if this was part of the core product.
  15. I feel like Tacan and ILS comes as an afterthought on most of the maps.
  16. 3937 still sitting in the UK after being cleared for international departure on the 19th.
  17. Depends what you want to spend, I have a set of Saitek pedals which have done fine for years.
  18. The Windows store fix worked for me, so Ive been recommending it as a result. It does seem to be from the most recent Windows 10 update I think
  19. welcome aboard
  20. We also have a great Training server
  21. I'm Aussie but flying with the Flying Kiwis, Good group quite casual to start and a lot of new guys. Theres a few other squadrons in Australia but a lot seem to take themselves too seriously. Calling each other ranks and such. TFK is a good place to start and see what fits for you.
  22. 1600x1300 is more pixels but its a different aspect ration so it would look better technically. but Im not sure why its running better. IS one full screen and one windowed? what monitor are you using? I recently made the move from 1920x1080 to 2560x1440 and the difference was amazing for minimal frame drop but I did get one. so we perhaps need a little more info to comment on why the performance improved.
  23. Very nice. I have been struggling to fing good 'enemy' info in the existing files here
  24. Yeah Polychop Kiowa, Barundus has some excellent videos of it on youtube. Very exciting looking project. That said I am struggling for hat switches at the moment, the ones I have are two hard to work with and I think the ones I ordered are momentaries but I cant find any hat switches on themarket as a self contained product, so I am debating chopping up other joysticks vs having to build something myself.
