THANKS! That did the trick!

Thanks admiki! I did find that thread already and figured out it wont really work for my setup. A floor mount is what I'm gonna go for. Far easier and cheaper. Going to cut a hole in the chair too if necessary.

My custom made AV8B Nozzle/STO lever & VR Cockpit

Ah ok, that's a bit more than I want to spend. Great idea on the Airbus levers although I think it might give me work related nightmares....I got over 8000 hrs on the Airbus . -
Thanks Steph. I got the VPC mod already. Do you know if there is a mod that does taxi way lights, signs etc?
-
Ehm, the download links don't work for me?

Hi guys, I'm looking for airfield mods for the Caucasus map. Things like taxiway lights, signs , static objects to populate the airfields but I've not found anything. Is there a mod for any of this stuff? I did find a static template but it doesn't seem to work.

Think I got it sorted. TGP : SOI Target , point track it CCRP mode The only bit I struggle with is figuring out when to start pulling for the loft. There should be a flashing CCRP line if I recall correctly.
-
Hi guys, I was wondering, is it possible to select a target with the Tpod and then use CCRP mode (because DTOS doesnt work) to loft a CBU97? I've had mixed results, just wondering if I'm doing something wrong.

How are you getting on with this pit,?

Would consider making another one and selling it? -
Thanks for your inputs guys. I've decided to mount the stick on a heavy box on the floor. That way I can move it in the right position, use an extension length that's suitable and not pay 90 euros for a long Virpil desk mount. I've ordered a 15 cm extension and the Hornet grip to try out with the TM warthog base to start with. Once I'm happy with that I'll buy a Virpil base. I may need to cut an opening into the chair near the crotch area to allow the stick go move back enough. I think this is the best solution for what I want.

Haha, man, after 7 years of marriage I have only just caught on to the wonderful life of not talking about costs of hobbies! Honesty isn't met with enthousiasm very often. Cool, thanks for those figures. I'll have some measuring to do.
-
Mr Sukebe, which mount do you use and does your chair need to be modified in any way? Also, are you able to use your rudders easily? I was thinking of a table mount, the long one from Virpil.
-
Wow...I bet that setup cost a few $$$$! If you use the long desk mount (38 cm drop) with a 20cm extension, wouldn't that put the stick in the correct position to grip it comfortably? But are you saying that whilst that may be true, in order to use the stick properly your chair would get in the way or you would need to move it back too far? Just want to make sure I understand what issues may arise. If you have time, could you measure how far the stick moves fwd/aft & left/right with the Virpil CM2 base and a 20 cm extension? I could then figure out if that would work for me
-
Interesting to see the pictures. Thanks for that. I saw monstertech do a long version of the desk mount which should give you a drop of 38 cm (i think?), vs the 22 cms (if I read their website correctly?) of the regular mount. Would a 38 cm drop put the stick at the right height? The issue of rudder pedals is something that worries me because I have those cheap TM pedals, they are notoriously narrow.

I was gonna use a table mount. The long virpil one to be exact.

Hi guys, Looking to upgrade from a TM warthog stick to a Virpil Mongoose base with a TM F18 grip. I intend to fly the Harrier, F18 and eventually A10 with it. My question is, what size extension would give me the most realistic stick displacement (throw?)? For example, if the real F18 or AV8B stick displaces 30 cms fwd/aft, how long of an extension would I need to replicate this? I tried finding the real stick displacement of these aircraft but no luck. Does anybody know?

Greek bull, is the 5900x much slower compared to the 5950x?

[BORESIGHT FIRST] Can't get Mav seeker to Align with TPOD
Bog9y replied to jonsky7's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
A few questions: 1) For the boresighting procedure on the ground, the Tpod handover mode needs to be in AUTO? 2) Do you TMS up the Tpod to go into POINT track when you have chosen a boresighting object? 3) Does it actually matter in DCS if the object has a good contrast to it's background for boresighting? 4) Once I TMS up the T-pod, the handover process begins, I hardly ever get a C above the station number, usually it's S during slewing and then T when I have TMSed UP the Tpod. Is this a bug or user error? 5) Sometimes the MAV seeker head does not move whatsoever and I have to mess around with TMS down and up to get it to release for boresighting, bug or user error? 6) During an attack, I select a target with the Tpod, TMS up. Handover process begins. Switch SOI to WPN. Now, do I still need to TMS up or can I just fire away if the WPN FOW brackets are collapsed? -
Oh I would really appreciate that!!!

Hi guys, Has anybody got the offical NATOPS pocket checklist (the AV8B-NFM-500) ? I can't seem to find it anywhere.

Hi guys, Does anybody have a copy of the A-10 B course syllabus?

[EARLY ACCESS IS A LONG PROCESS]F-16C Forgotten about again
Bog9y replied to Droning_On's topic in DCS: F-16C Viper
AMEN to that! I have been doing lots of very basic stuff with the Viper ever since I got it. It's been a lot of fun. Sure, having all the DED features and a ground radar would make things a lot easier and more fun but I can make it work without these things. -
Good thinking but no, it's definitely not that. Aligned correctly, no rearming or fuelling.
