  1. Here is what I used. The openhornet MFD file, plus there is info online that states the screens are 5x5 inches for the real hornet MFDs. So the openhornet measurements are a little bit smaller than what the real hornet displays are supposed to be. Then I loaded the MAIN panel picture (attached) into Fusion 360 and used the MFD width to calibrate the picture size. This in turn led me to the width of 134 mm for the UFC. I'm happy with it being off by around 5 mm. It's just for flying in VR, I'm not building a realistic pit. The 3D printable UFC that's on another thread is about 134 mm wide as well btw. MFD DIM.pdf
  2. Hi guys, what width & height is the UFC meant to be?
  3. Disregard the previous. I did some research and the AV8B has the same MFDs as the F18. The OpenHornet guys will have done their research and the width of the MFD is what I used to correlate the width of the UFC. It comes out around 134 mm.
  4. Brewnix & others, can you confirm what the actual width of the UFC shoudl be then? In one post it was correlated with the stby ADI and it came out as 135 mm and then in another post using the DZUS method it came out as 5.75" (146 mm). Which one is the correct one?
  5. Yeh sure, with the 5900 the performance is obviously better. It's mainly my frame times that have improved, from around 25-30 to 15-20 ms. I have also gained a few FPS. I use a Reverb G1 with a 2080 Super. Couldn't get a new GPU because of stock issues so CPU was the only upgrade available. I bought the 5900X for 650 Euros. Is it worth that much money for faster frame time? Well....yes, I have no regrets but everyone's disposable income is different. The 3600 works just great with DCS, if you got a decent GPU you can have quite high settings.
  6. Hey guys, Selling my Ryzen 5 3600 with the stock cooler. I've upgraded to the 5900x hence the reason for the sale. I've had the CPU for 11 months and it still has 2 years of manufacturer's warranty left on it. Never manually overclocked the CPU. 160 Euros + shipping from France.
  7. plenty of 6900XTs available in France, the only problem is they are too expensive! Same with 3090s. 3080s & 6800s (XT and non) are never available though.
  8. Same here Jaeger. It's also made more difficult with the 3080ti on the horizon.
  9. I've seen this pitching oscillation too. I went over the max speed for external wing tanks though so figured it was that. Mach 0.95/550 kts I think.
  10. Hey Sedlo, Just finished this mission today. I had a great time playing the Eastern Friendship and Red Flag 1 missions too. Can you send me your paypal account details on a private message and I'll send you a little thank you. All the best, Boggy
  11. Just the width and length of the SAAHS panel. Mine came out as 143 mm at the widest part and 83 mm top to bottom. Thank you so much for creating these, really appreciate it. Oh btw, the SAAHS panel says YAW on the bottom, middle button, shouldn't that be ROLL?
  12. I did it!!! Thank you so much for your help! So I managed to make a solid body out of the drawing. Then I converted it to STL, and then to a G code file. I made the top panel (with the lettering on it) 3 mm think, is that about right? I think on the next one I will make it 2 mm. Can anyone confirm the size of the SAAHS panel? I just want to make sure mine is the correct size.
  13. No, not familiar with Fusion 360 at all and finding it quite frustrating to convert the files. The included sketches that you mention , are those the F3D files you mean? I'll youtube it to see how to make solid bodies. I'll try this as a first step and see where I get. Thank you for your help.
  14. Thank you for sharing these. I'm trying to print these with my 3D printer but the printer only works on G Code files. Does anybody know what the best way is to convert F3d files to G code? I tried doing it with Fusion360 but getting nowhere.
  15. I got all the parts printed (I think). Now I got to figure out how it all fits together
  16. Jatrock, what's the reason behind SS at 80% and PD at 1.2? I thought that leaving PD at 1 and manipulating the Steam SS was the better way to tune performance/visuals?
  17. Also, I assigned a button on my throttle to release the brake because it's a bitch to find. It's too dark in that section of the cockpit and clicking around you can quite easily click on the fuel cutoff.
  18. Parking brake dude, I had the same problem. Was confused until I realised the parking brake is on when you start on ramp , ready to go. Release it and you're good to go.
  19. So , my housing and lever come out like this. Not exactly like in the OP pics. I guess I need to cut and sand the excess parts?
  20. I'm in the process of printing this with my Anycubic S (3?). So far I've printed the housing, the ball and a couple of other little bits. It's my first time using a 3d printer and I just loaded the Gcode files onto the SD card and popped that in the printer. So far the printed parts look ok (I think) but maybe a little bit different compared to the pics. Is printing the Gcode file not the way it's supposed to be done? Should I have used the STL files somehow?
  21. Well, I managed to load the A10II in syria instant action yesterday! I did several things, not sure if they were mentioned here or on another thread but it worked for me. 1) Page file, adjusted to 32 gb min and 64 gb max. I have 32 Gb of Ram in my system and have cleared out over 75 Gb of free space on my hard drive. 2) Cleared out the shaders cache from C:\Program Data\Nvidio Corporation\NV_Cache 3) Disabled Shaders cache in Nvidia conrol panel settings I think that's about it and this worked for me.
  22. Following this thread with great interest. I was convinced that Nvidia was the way forward for my next GPU but now I'm thinking about getting a 6900XT....but then the last post says there are more stutters with AMD. AAAAargghh!
  23. Hi BigNewy, if this is meant for me...no, I have PBO enabled, no overclock. Getting a 5900X in a few days, will see if it improves things. Also changed my paging file settings but that didn't help it. GPU is slightly overclocked.
  24. nope, 2080 super , ryzen 3600 , 32 gb ram
  25. I have the same problem, A10II + Syria instant action = crash I can run the A10C & Syria without a crash but the A10II crashes. Weird.
