No, but you can use 3rd party programs like voice attak or joystick gremlin to work around it. Doesn't work for 64.

You need to use keyboard to get from cut off to idle position.

Cant fire flares while equipped with door gunner
admiki replied to formaggio's topic in Bugs and Problems
This must be mission related. In my test mission, flares run without issues. -
Did you reset the trim or you just used trim release? With center trim option, controls in game will freeze until you return your physical controls to center.

You need to wait about one minute before attempting to start. I don't know if it's like that IRL, but same thing happens if you abort during normal start. Your best indicator is to wait until RPM needle zeroes out.

On one hand, we need ED to keep kicking tires so we can enjoy DCS. On the other hand, they are starting to annoy a number of people. After CH-47 planned release fiasco and Afghanistan map I decided to hold on any future purchase of ED merchandise. Even though Mig-29 was and is my dream airplane, I am not buying it until it actually shows and is in decent state. And from what I can hear around, a lot of people feels the same. It has already been said and doing it once more won't matter one iota, but ED should start listening to its customers.

Create a simple mission , fly it trying to engage AP and post that track file here.

Agree. Agree once more.

Yes, that was introduced few updates ago, but I did not report it, figuring it will be dealt with at the same time as this bug.

It's all great, but you are constantly moving the pedals and SCAS is trying to compensate. Try that same flight with trim release held down and see if you get same behaviour. Then try doing what ShuRugal said.

Mi-24P SPO-10 and AT-6 - Unrealistic behaviour

Module operates fine, it's the AI thing. -
CP/G - George AI - CMBT Mode (short press) explanation
admiki replied to gdotts's topic in DCS: AH-64D
You've got it mixed- short left is mode change, short right is DIR-TO. DIR-TO means that helicopter will turn towards your currently selected waypoint. If you have no waypoint, DIR-TO will do nothing. Page 540 of Apache manual. -
If you really want to learn how to fly a helicopter in DCS, take Huey on trial. It's sensitive and pure pilot's machine, with no help whatsoever. Once you learn how to fly it, everything else will be just an add-on.
-
Is there a list of what is going to be available at release? Hope to go better than CH-47 one.
-
You can do this on the ground, there is no need to juggle between flying and pressing buttons. Even overloaded Apache is not that bad to fly unless you try to hover it. Get your speed up and then play with systems.
-
No, unless you're in the air at mission start. But it's just a few clicks anyway?

I had similar instances in front seat of the Mi-24, where DCS would respond to some, but not other inputs from my controler. Checking in controls menu show everything working as it should, every input instantly recognized, but in cockpit about half the stuff would not work. Then pressing all the switches, buttons and axes would somehow unstuck it and it would work fine from then on. Could not figure what combination would get it to work.
-
Also make sure it's not the cable that have gone bad.

Again, wrong. Without APU or engines running, it's quite easy for ground crew to hear Mi-8 crew ( and I am guessing it is the same for Mi-24 crew) talking to them. And there is a intercom receptacle for crew-to-ground crew comms. And again, I am talking from real life experience as a GPU operator.
-
Idea is that without APU or engines running, they can hear you just fine talking from your seat. I can confirm that to be the case for the Mi-8.
-
While I would love to see it, I don't believe it will happen.
-
This is outright wrong. Everything works without shutting the helicopter down.

Nope, FFB controls need 100% to work as they should. You want more precision, put an extension on your physical control. But......most FFB controls have their own software running at the same time. You also need to check how that is set. TL;DR is- you want 1:1 movement of your physical and game control.
