  1. Is is the same once you move the collective?
  2. Use CAQ.
  3. Ah, OK. First you need to bind Show/hide AI in Mi-24 pilot tab, then you need to open Mi24 AI Petrovich helper tab and bind those commands.
  4. Record a short track and we can start from there
  5. It's a release weapons command
  6. IIRC, Apache is also prohibited to fire rockets from inbound pylons while in hover.
  7. It works the same, with difference being that in Hind trim resets AP instantly, but in Mi-8 you have flight mechanic doing it over time via those wheels on the panel. You are using trim hat correctly. Secret to smooth flying with trim is to trim a lot.
  8. I mean, is it a bug that Petrovich can see targets during the night at all (regardless of moon state)?
  9. I don't know how latest version of DCS Hind works, but earlier night engagements were possible with illumination rockets. We would either work in pairs, with one bird illuminating and other shooting, then switching roles, or you can illuminate for yourself, but it really does not give plenty of time to engage targets. EDIT: After quick test, Petrovich found target with half moon. With no moon he was not able to find that same target. I'm not sure whether this is a bug, since even the best optics in the world will have some percent of light attenuation and I don't think Soviets put the best optics in Mi-24. @BIGNEWYcan you check with the team if this is a bug or not?
  10. Yes, it should say ratio. I am not sure what those numbers mean, but they are not percentage. @AeriaGloria might help with that. IDK if you noticed, but red marks move up and down, depending on environmental conditions (altitude, temperature, humidity). From bottom, marks represent cruise power, max continuous and max allowed. OTH, going over max allowed will not do anything except drooping your rotor. According to manual, you can fly up to 60 minutes with collective under your armpit. I did test it once, went a bit over 60 minutes with nothing going wrong and then got bored and jumped out.
  11. Best to record a track file and post it so we can take a look
  12. You slave him to that TSD point (short consent to fire press) and then order TADS LOS search (long down). Select target from the list as you were doing before and that's it.
  13. Agree, but people do it because they like to do it or just because they can. I don't mind, not going to use it, but don't mind someone else having fun with it.
  14. You're not, but that's why mods exist- to modify, extend or outright create non-existing capability. AG is talking about mod, not trying to change DCS itself.
  15. Not only that, but IRL if you need you can put more sheets in, which would have just certain parts of the route, making it easier to read. IMO, having separate paper map on your lap (F10 in DCS) or with your CPG doing navigation is the best way to do it.
  16. Yes, but helicopter needs to be aligned with your scope. In other words, read the manual.
  17. It's not a bug, you need to learn how to shoot. Once you find your target, you comand Petrovich to align helicopter and you will get your tone.
  18. No. You can use workarounds like 3rd party software to make those key pushes for you, though.
  19. Same here. If flying CAS with a lot of turning and twisting, GPK introduces too much gyro drift.
  20. Never do windows calibration on devices like these, use their software.
  21. Sorry, but what does Virpil has to do with K51 collective?
  22. Well, no and yes. While there is no gauge or light to tell you the status of microswitch, you can look at AP yaw channel. If it does not counter-deflect when you yaw, microswitch is pressed in. It will move a little bit, to stabilise you, but if does not go all the way over, heading hold is not active.
  23. More precise you are, more precise slew will be.
