  1. And don't use direct if you are behind any obstacle. I am going to test it now.
  2. If it's easier for you, activate controls indicator. You need to marry white diamond and red cross symbols to be able to activate ATT HOLD. ALT hold doesn't need this, but it won't activate if your vertical speed is more than +/- 100 ft/min. Now, all this being said: THIS IS A BUG. I mean attitude hold activation logic. Altitude hold is correct.
  3. How are you setting laser? Usually you will need to work through radio menu to tell designator to start lasing
  4. Maybe you should check out groups like Black Shark Den?
  5. Wrong. Apache SCAS requires FTR to know what to do. Holding modes might work, but you could also get strange results due to SCAS not having all the info. TBH, I'm not sure why people require instant response from game stick. There is no way you can move stick that fast IRL and I really have to think to come up with a scenario where you need full side to side deflection.
  6. Not having X65, but central trim option should work for you. Other two won't, because they actually require joystick to stay where it is. This being said, all of Apache is still WIP, so as you know it already, what should be working for you actually might not be working right now
  7. Good luck with using hold modes
  8. OK, turns out there are some typos in those tables.
  9. Load asymetric and select either left or right side. Edited to add: don't quote me on this, but I think system will aim and fire inboard racks first and then switch aim touse outboard ones.
  10. Neither did Vietnam era Huey. What's your point?
  11. He will spot targets/missiles, but I think that's about it. I don't think it's feasible to expect obstacle avoidance.
  12. What was his comanded speed when you were at 70 knots? And what speed you comanded him to go to next?
  13. I am getting same responses as you. They both do and don't make sense. But as long as I am getting response at all I am all good since it means George got his command and is responding to it.
  14. And I already told you that you are wrong. When you fly level all trimmed out and then change attitude (for example you pull cyclic for nose up), AP tries to get you back to level. So it gives input to nose down. So, your position is sum of cyclic and AP inputs. When you press FTR (let's call it position X), you lose that AP input and nose goes further up because your cyclic is still giving inputs which you can see in controls indicator (that is now position Y). AP goes to your "previous state" because nose is above position X and it tries to get you back there. Reason that there is no overshoot if you hold FTR is that you are compensating for lost inputs from AP (you have only cyclic inputs) and once you are stable and release FTR, AP doesn't have to get you to desired position. I also told you that real life Hind pilot confirmed to me that if you are holding FTR will disable SAS. Just because you believe it shouldn't be so does not make you correct. Or you have some real life Hind experience that backs up your beliefs?
  15. There are mods that allow you to do just that. With some other tweaks reagarding size/shape.
  16. Did you in any moment speed up replay? That is known to break it. And as s-o-f said, if it's a complicated mission it tends to go sideways
  17. It depends. When my wife finishes yelling at me for something I messed up I am, for all intents and purposes, legally deaf
  18. And just to avoid confussion, right rudder means that your nose is turning right, not your tail
  19. Record a short track file and post it here
  20. Yes it should. If you are shooting for someone else, computer has no idea how far target is and how long it will take to hit it. That's why there are tables for calculating TOF.
  21. There is a slider that will go down as you expend your ammo. In re-arm screen, you need to manually move the slider to desired value.
  22. Are you on stable version, since my options look different? They basically means the same, but wording is different. Pedals deflection means that microswitch logic will be activated/deactivated depending on where your pedals are positioned. Pedals speed means that logic will be activated/deactivated depending on whether you move your pedals or keep them in place. Third option is just what it says. Microswitches are off all the time, meaning that heading hold is always active. What most of us is using. Just bind something to keep microswitch active.
