Hmm interesting, is yoyo saying a lot of pedal is needed at take off?

 

Reading a Fw190 book the other day a few pilot quotes stated that the engine torque on take off was very low (compared to the 109) due to the engine computer thingy.. ;)

Whats the release scheme like for the 190? Is it supposed to be a part of the WWI kickstarter or is it separate? Is SU-27 AFM's release time-frame in any way related to the 190?

They havent said much on release, but I would assume it will be similar to the P-51D, but that is only a guess at this point.

Well quite frankly no... clearly we need some context behind these progress screenshots, we have seen many images of the 190 but with out some information attached to them we can only make assumptions.

 

Could say the same about Edge. All those screen shots, but no information on it's progress or a hint of a release date. Most people like screen shots, but also like some information to go with them.

Yo-Yo has put up a few posts on the 190, mostly in Russian though... as for hard facts about release times and such, that just isnt going to happen, even features and such probably wont be talked about until they are locked in... things can go sideways in development, they want to be more careful about what they say so there is no misinformation.

I'm not sure about other people but I like to know a bit about what's going on. Saying nothing is more frustrating then saying something, even if what you have said doesn't turn out to be 100% correct. When you say nothing it leaves people guessing as to what's going on, which has been proved so often in the past. This is why post like this keep cropping up, it's because people start to suspect it's been shelved and whatever else there minds have convinced them of. Best to be transparent if you ask me that's only my opinion.

I dont guess, or assume, others dont either, its usually only a few. And saying something that doesnt turn out to be 100% correct doesnt sound like a good plan either. It is what it is, this is the approach they have chosen, if you feel assuming things is healthy, then go ahead, but at the end of the day it doesnt matter, unless the Dev Team speaks it, it isnt anything as far as development goes.

Not sure if you mean the one I posted or Sith's (probably both lol), but yeah its translations make me go cross-eyed. With the one I posted, I'm reasonably sure he was saying that he couldn't give a date on release but that there was nothing left to be done on the 190. Which I'm really hoping is the correct interpretation. Now if you meant Sith's translation I can't help you there, I felt my grip on sanity slipping away just trying to read it and I'm already a few fries shy of a happy meal as it is.

I don't understand what dependency you see between the (announced) release dates? F86=BST, F190=ED/RRG, Bf109=RRG ...

well, you would think that if a plane is announced, and the other not, that the one not announced will be released at a later point.

especially as bst are ed partner, and the fw190 is from ed, you would assume the same release update policy.

makes any sense?

The FW190 was begun by ED, but is being developed further (for months now ;o) and eventually finished by RRG.
