For Lock On 1.1x

Use ModMan to install.

 

Available at my site.

 

New coastline textures fade out at far range and no strange color effects appear any more. The textures look same as before at close range.

 

EDIT:

The fade out distance depends on the Anisotropic Filtering setup of the video card. I adjusted version 1.0 at 4X. The distance could be too close for no or lower AF setup.

 

EDIT:

Version 1.0b is added for 2X or No Anisotropic Filtering.

On my ATi X800XT with Catalyst 7.6/4xAA/8xAF it works :thumbup: like the others have said, excellent work! this is an essential mod :)

this is great, i have on question. This conflicts with one other file effecttexturetga.cdds in this mod http://www.lockonfiles.com/modules.php?name=Downloads&d_op=viewdownloaddetails&cid=76&lid=794&ttitle=HOT_SUMMER_PACK_terrain_mod#dldetails

 

Will the hot summer pack still appear right?

 

PythonOne, My mod interferes with the hot summer mod a little bit. No serious problem but some texture differences. I will look into it and see what I can do.

 

 

Teka Teka, is there any chance for you to change the texture on the shaders that leave the lines in the hills when advanced haze is on?

It happens when you have scattered clouds in a mission, you get a kind of flickering "barcode" effect of lines on the hills, caused by the shadows the clouds make, and like rugg said, it happens when theres adv haze turned on.

If that lines issue could be fixed that would be the last major graphical bug that kills my immersion. Excellent work on the coastline mod! :thumbup:

very nice, beats the hell out of those nvida drivers. This is just a shot in the dark here, but, do you have any idea how to fix the full shadow bug other than turning it down?

Glowing fences...

 

I think I already did :P

 

Anyway, since you are on such a roll with these mods TekaTeka, I thought I would run this by you and see if you had any ideas.

 

When flying a mission where there is fog (300m thickness, 1000m density in these screenshots but any fog will produce the effect), fences around buildings and airbases begin to "glow" when viewed from a sufficiently high angle.

If you bring the view down, the fences stop glowing...
