DArt Posted October 9, 2012 Posted October 9, 2012 (edited) LotATC gives to FC2 an ATC/CGI experience... Here old posts and screenshots of FC2: http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=41468 http://www.dartsite.org/wp-content/uploads/2009/10/client.png http://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=54858 After some testing, I can now announce officially that I am currently writing from scratch its successor for DCS ( current codename: DCSATC, but not the definitive name) No download yet, but I hope something before the end of the year. Compared to LotATC, the DCS version will gives additional features: no export needed server will be a module of DCS World (configuration into DCS) client will be a standalone (no need of DCS World) integration of external maps (google/openstreetmap...) internal chat between controllers AND with pilots in DCS ATC with ILS and others... This list is not exhaustive but gives some axis of my development. (not will be available in first version too :D ) Thanks again for the support of ED in my development as 3rd-party developer. LotATC for DCS is actually as an earlier development stage but I will give news regularly. As this development need time and money for development server, this mods will not be free (more information of what will be free or not and how in few weeks, it is currently under finalisation). aaron886 Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Cool, I love this stuff. I'll control for large groups! Let me control Hawgsmoke, I promise no traffic conflicts! :D Question... why "LotATC" and not "LoATC?" I never realized it was "Lot" before.
Sov13t Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 Great news! We were just talking about this when discussing the future of the Georgian Incident campaign, as we use LotATC during all of the missions and it has been superb! neroroxxx Posted October 10, 2012 Posted October 10, 2012 This sounds cool but just to make sure I understand this, this a module that would make you the ATC and tower controller, you see the radar and so on that an ATC would see, correct? It's more of a multiplayer thing right? Either way sounds amazing and I would love to get it when it's available Nero 27" iMac, 3.4GHz i7 Quad Core, 16GB Ram, AMD Radeon HD 6970M 2Gb, Running Bootcamp, Windows 7 Home 64bit, Saitek X-52 Pro

DArt Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 This beats the F10 screen for ATC work! I look forward to this. That is the goal :smilewink: I develop LotATC since 4 years for all squads that want to have an ATC/CGI component more realistic than a simple F10 view. It manages relief, realistic radar envelops and more! Thanks to all encouragements! And it is LotAtc with a T because that is the acronym of: Lock On Tactical Air Traffic Control [ https://www.lotatc.com ]

sorcer3r Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Very nice :) Does it also support bullseye coords? [sIGPIC]http://i1293.photobucket.com/albums/b582/sorcerer17/sorcf16-b_zpsycmnwuay.gif[/sIGPIC]

Kaiza Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 Sounds great alright. How will the system handle the detection and classification of airborne targets? i.e. Will all initial detects be classified as "unknown" (a bogey). If so, how will the model then classify them? Thanks! [url=http://www.aef-hq.com.au/aef4/forumdisplay.php?262-Digital-Combat-Simulator][SIGPIC]http://img856.imageshack.us/img856/2500/a10161sqnsignitureedite.png[/SIGPIC][/url]

Thanks! In previous LotATC versions, all bogeys are classified as threat. Then, controllers can change its classification on the map and it is automatically share with others controllers on same side. I will keep the same principle for the new version. The option to have all new contacts classified as bogeys until ID'd would be nice, even if it's an additional option in the settings. Any plans to add some form of radio panel in the software for use when in servers with people flying with TARS?
DArt Posted October 11, 2012 Author Posted October 11, 2012 - Can control IA Intercept missions? - Realistic OTAN signature contact? - You will see IA but not interact with them (perhaps one day ;) ) - Yes, I use standard symbol for planes The option to have all new contacts classified as bogeys until ID'd would be nice, even if it's an additional option in the settings. Any plans to add some form of radio panel in the software for use when in servers with people flying with TARS? I would like to add TARS management in the software as we use it in my squad. I have already contact Headspace about it some month ago. I will recontact him in few weeks in order to find a solution for that. [ https://www.lotatc.com ]
Leto Posted October 11, 2012 Posted October 11, 2012 oh yes! That would really be nice. My personal wishlist for DCSATC: - TARS integration - Airport mode (control zone plus proximity) - editable control zones around airports so we could create our own control zones - integration of JaBoG32 visual approach charts info http://www.virtual-jabog32.de/index.php?section=downloads&subcat=37&file=1214 [sIGPIC][/sIGPIC] Ariescon.com Intel i7-6700K | 32GB RAM | NVIDIA GTX 1080 | 1TB m.2 SSD | TM Warthog | Logitech G-35 | TrackIR 5 | Windows 10 Ultimate 64bit | 3 monitor setup @5760x1080 | Occulus Rift
Azrayen Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 Hum, I like the JaBoG maps very well, too, but those are VAC. If you have a controller (via LotATC or its DCS evolution), you'll need IAC maps, and procedures. ;)
Snoopy Posted October 15, 2012 Posted October 15, 2012 It's a SLOW process making charts but the 476th vFG are working on a set of charts to mirror the US Military charts.
