FC3 Bug thread

DCS world ver. 1.2.2 and later one has a bug in the atmosphere. What I have noticed is that when clouds exist I see artifact all over screen in game which make it unplayable. If weather in game is clear no problem thought. I am sure many people already notice that! Please investigate.

 

For the last time, please post World bugs in the World sub-forum. Keep this thread for FC3-exclusive bugs.

Tunguska shoots down small fast kh-25 perfectly but does not shoot large and slow mavericks. Mb this should be fixed?

 

P.S. Targeting mavericks in A-10A is pain. The crosshair often moves in random direction, especially when flying at low altitudes. Mb a fix for this as well?

 

Is this because of the maverick in DCS A-10? As in, the crosshair isn't ground stabilized?

90 - SU 25A/T MDB-67-U 4*FAB-100 modell is incorrect, FAB-100 bombs too close to each other

91 - SU25A/T Gunpods operation cannot be asigned to axis

92 - Multiplayer disappearing player names from the menu.

I think the same is true for the AIM-7and AIM-120. While in the F-15 cockpit I didn't see any difference in the DLZ for those two missiles, although their range differences aren't all that extreme to begin with. I hope to have some play time later today and take a closer look.

Yes, ofcourse FC3, I know. same problem existed in FC2 and FC2 is way older than World so it applies to FC3 users too who transfered from FC2.

 

If it is not player-flyable then it is not a FC3 bug for the purposes of this thread where I am attempting to collect all the bugs relating to the Player-Controlled flyables and nothing more.

 

The SU-30 is A.I. and accordingly forms part of World. It will not be ignored - it will just be dragged over/entered over in those forums. I will however not add it to the list for reasons as explained.

Keep the reports coming as we have the chance to get the FC3 module as bug-free as possible so let's make the most of it. That is after all the purpose of the Open-Beta.

By the I also wrote about the jerky roll of Su-27 between 700-1000kmph. I think its some flight dynamics bug.

 

Just checked on latest build and with full tank/empty pylons and a curve of 15% she's as smooth as silk - no jerkiness at all.

Saw a pilot eject from an a-50, i dont think they have ejection seats...

 

Only FC3 Player-flyable aircraft bugs please.

As for cobra... here are some results when you "force" it on through lua files...

 

Can be a major exploit if not fixed for basically freezing indefinitely in the air!

36,37: Missile behaviour regarding AIM-120 and R-77 explained in posts #81, 91 and 92 of this thread.

 

 

As for Cobra - it's on the to-do list for Dev consideration. No answer one way or another just yet. Do you have further details/track regarding that exploit? Cannot be allowed to stand if that is the case I would have thought.

Did you try to repair and to take off again???

 

I try to repair in multi-player, when i landed turn off both engine (one was shoot down anyway because of fire) call ground crew for ground electric then i call repair and wait for 3 min. After 3 minutes warning lights are off but my master caution alarm never go off. Then i try to start again but my engine (who get repaired) are broken again and can not be repair. I also try to simulate in the single-player and same stuffs happened in the single-player.

 

Bug: Repair are not working. It will repair you but when you start engines all failures are back.

 

Which airframe?

I can confirm that. I experienced the same thing, cartwheeling indefinitely.

Su 27 IRST sensor not moving up and down...

 

Not supposed to - not capable of being slewed in elevation IRL.

R 27ET (ALAMO C) According to Wikipedia range is about 120km in game is around 30. Same goes for R27ER

...

 

Wikpedia is not reliable per se. There are a lot of considerations taken into account in those numbers. Will however enquire, but 99% certain values currently In-SIM are spot-on.
