The Finkenwerder ("MBB") airfield south of the Elbe in Hamburg has a lot of nice objects placed on the ground around the hangars. Unfortunately, many of them exhibit strong z-fighting, their surfaces alternating between green and other colors. -
I haven't flown the Viper in a while, so it can be definitely something I'm doing wrong, but it seems totally random whether I can put a mark point on the ground from the HMCS and store it on steerpoints 25-30. My procedure is as follows: Make sure I'm in NAV (or A/G) Make HUD SOI Click "Mark 7" on the ICP TMS fwd long in order to get the marker in the HMCS Then TMS fwd to lock and save the mark point. In 50% of the times, nothing happens when I hit TMS fwd. And when it fails it doesn't help to frenetically hit TMS fwd several times, it just won't "lock". Is this a bug or is it something I am missing?

Hey guys, I just noticed that the selective jett isn't reflecting the racks dropped. They drop, so that isn't the issue, but it still shows they are connected to the A/C. Just wanted to let u guys know. I had 3 rack Mavs on the white stores that are gone and shows they were dropped. The wing shows the rack is gone for both, but not reflected in the select jett page. Hi I created a mission with the CBU 105 and I want to bomb a target set on steer point 2 in this case how do I anchor the HUD TDU box on steer point 2 without having to manually move the TDU, I set the WCMD to pre However when I start the mission the TDU is not on the target. I hope I was clear in explaining the question. Bye

Am unsure what am doing wrong I have turned on the power of AGMs, select PRE in the weapon mode, go to TGP, select auto and then select a target, TMS up to point track, switch to WPN and make it SOI, TMS up to lock and some times when i fire the missle fires and other times the WPN display just flashes and does not fire what am i missing?

I am trying to boresights the mavs while on the ground i am following everything but when i got to my TGP and i click on SnowPlow mode, the TPG looks straight ahead. But if i unclick SnowPlow mode, the TGP automatically looks somewhere totally different this is different to what's shown in this video where SnowPlow mode is clicked and then unclicked and the TGP remains in the same place how do you ensure the TGP stays in the same place?

A few hours ago, I had a problem with the air radar altitude. The radar altitude was automatically decremented an when a certain high was reached the bar on the left side was also falling. I tried switching to the ground radar and back to the air radar, but this didn't solve the problem. When I change the radar altitude with the up arrow on the mfd, it starts again with counting the altitude down. Unfortunately, I didn't make a video. But it happened. null

The cursor is not where the FLIR is pointing on camera. It's off slightly. The HUD has this problem as well.

I've repeatedly asked George to slave but nothing happens. However, asking him to switch weapons still works. This issue only comes up sometimes. After around 15seconds all the slave commands will come in at once, sometimes never at all

Hey guys, I have a problem with the Laser Hellfire. In the mission mentioned above, a SA-5 radar is to be taken out. In the beginning of the mission, you have to enter some TG coordinates which I do. Then I fly to the Navpoint from which I have sight on the target. So I enable Master Arm, Laser is on (checked), I lase the target (and hold the button pushed), but if I then fire the Hellfire, it just flys straight and does not "lock on" the laser. You also can see that as if I lase, the "Primary Channel Tracking" message does not appear and I do not get the big closed box, but only a distance reading (3000m). I think the laser numbers and channels are set up properly because I hit the "Slave" button on RHD, the TADS goes to the coordinate I enter in the beginning. If I lase the coordinate, "Primary Channel Tracking" and the big closed box appears and I fire a Hellfire there while lasing, it will hit the target. So what is keeping my Hellfire from tracking the laser of the SA-5 site? It is a little below my altitude, 3000m away and straight ahead. There should not be any firing constraint.

4k meters away from a target in plain view. George will usually ID the target. I can clearly see the target visually and in the Video screen. Remember, 4000 meters, plain view in the screen and through the windows. I can select the target. George starts lasing. Grant permission to fire, he says, engaging. Doesn't fire. Grant permission, George says engaging, no fire. He is the most worthless CPG imaginable. 4 damn times, he refuses to fire even though he says he is. Please fix this. There is zero reason for the CPG to be completely useless. The Hind co pilot can function. I am told the RIO's in the jets can function. How is it you can not get George to do anything but take up space and make the desire for a usable rifle in the cockpit like the Kiowa. I would love to shoot George.

Hi, For a week i fly the f16 and build some missions to test its capabilities. Now i have problems with communications with tanker, wingman, jtac. They appear in comm-menu and -even in easy radio mode- i dont get replies from them. Is there some step in the radio maybe that needs to be turned on in f16? I dont understand. Thx for any ideas. Regards

I have a 3-ship of ...ships... big cargo tankers moving in a straight line at 17kts. At 40nm the SEA mode radar sees nothing. At ~20nm it see's a single dot. If I EXP.. nothing shows up. If I try to TMS UP, nothing happens. If I try to hit TGT having the cursor centered on the ship, nothing happens (probably because I couldnt bug target). I redo the test using GM mode.. and it sees the ships in Norm/DMBS1/2. I can TMS Up, TGT, etc per normal.... BUT.. why would GM be able to see these ships MOVING at 17kts?

In the Red Flag campaign, the F-16 is lit by the bright external lighting of the parking area during startup as it should be. But the lighting effect remains on the aircraft and in the cockpit even after the aircraft has pulled away from the parking area and even when airborne. The lighting is following the aircraft and maintaining a fixed position over it. Not only weird but it makes the cockpit too bright to fly at night.

In my custom missions I would assign a custom # and when I go into the sim, it doesn't work.... It worked before the last patch. Is anyone else having the same issue?

This just started happening today. When moving from back cockpit (where position is fine) to front cockpit, I spawn outside on the RH side looking in towards the left. I can move with Rctrl+Enter+ Numpad numbers but can't get to correct position (Much too far forward) and the new setting won't save. It reverts to this every time. Where are the body coordinates located in file? Do I need to edit the .lua?

I have looked around to see if this is a known issue. If I start the f16 in the air or hot start or runway start, the aircraft is off. I have to start it from scratch. Has anyone heard of this.

I would like to know when the fixes for the Hornet's air-to-air radar are on track to be completed. Associated Bug Topic Titles Target locks for BVR, RWS or TWS keep and keep disappearing for no reason A-A ACM problem locking target with ACM Mode AN/APG-73 Radar loosing contacts very frequently [CHECKING] Radar Acquisition PRF Issues [CHECKING] No Range Gate on Radar Tracks in MEM Can easily detect and lock missiles with radar (also shoot them down) My ACM mode is also locking up targets +99 miles away. Also documented but unable to find the post. Wag's YouTube video, "DCS: F/A-18 Hornet Available Now!" video is 3 years, 1 month and two days old as of this post, so I don't think it's inappropriate to ask now when the Hornet will be out of "early access", or at least have the radar issues resolved.

New to the F-16 and can't figure out how to lock Link 16 Targets. When I fly the training missions, all the targets show up nicely on the FCR and can easily be tracked/locked/bugged. But when flying in a server with Link 16 activated, the targets show up as red triangles just fine, but the triangles can't be locked and the white dot isn't there generally. It shows up sporadically, if at all, but then disappears by the time I get the cursor on it. Sometimes the white dot shows up long enough to get a lock, but most of the time it's just Link 16 triangles. I know scan rates, FCR modes, etc. have an affect on target visibility, but Link 16 seems to mostly eliminate the white dots. Obviously I'm doing something wrong and it's probably something simple, but could someone please explain? Also, I'm unable to figure out how to display my wingman when using Link 16. I've set up the Link 16 options with me as 00244 and him as 00245 (does it matter what these numbers are as long as they're in sequence? Could I just set 00101 and 00102?), set myself as lead, he sets himself as #2, but he doesn't show up and just remains a green circle. Does it have something to do with the callsign on the 2nd Link 16 DED page where mine will say something like PC31 and his will say CY45? I've tried to change mine to match his, but it only lets me change one of the letters with the increment/decrement button, and when I press Enter it just goes back to the original letter.

Hello, i started to learn the hornet but it seems like that the coupled autopilot mode cannot be activated when a target is designated with the targeting pod (i tried with both lantirn and atflir). The "CPL" indication appears for a second on the UFC but then diseapears and i simply cannot get it working even if i followed the same steps as Matt Wagner on the tutorial video. Here is what i did : 1-Press "Auto" on the HSI 2-Press CPL on the UFC (it works nicely until now) 3-Press A/G then go to the flir page on the right mfd 4-SCS Right to control that screen then SCS right again to designate a target 5-Go back to the UFC and A/P : CPL is no longer present (it comes back when i cancel "TGT" on the HSI) Am i doing something wrong ? (I don't have any mods installed)
