Hello, it seems that there is a bug when setting up user waypoints via the map cursor while the map is in track-up -mode. In said mode the waypoint seems to get the correct coordinates as was shown in the cursor info-box, but then when I set the navigation to said point, the waypoint is far away from where I originally put it, even though when I check the coordinates from the user waypoint list all seems to be correct there. If you use the north-up -mode everything works just as intended. So it seems, that even though the NS itself show the proper coordinates, the actual position is copied from the screen as if it was north-up. Very confusing indeed! I found this flying in Caucasus. Haven't tested on other maps. Testing is simple: set the map to track-up, fly somewhere other than north and try to set up a user waypoint via the map (notice the coordinates!), set the direct-to function to the waypoint you just created and observe the result. Without this being an elaborate copypasta, I do want to express my joy and gratitude for this module. I have surprisingly had a lot of good times doing logistics stuff and other various doodads in the Mi-8/L-39. I have had overall a way better experience than 95% of the community say it was for them. This box is such a seamless(maybe not for the L-39, but for everything else it's been wonderful) transition. I can't remember if it has a 3D model for the Christen Eagle but if it doesn't, it probably should have one. The Christen Eagle is literally the best use case and the best fit for the NS430 in target aircraft and general need(apart from helos). Lets talk about the weird and wacky situations this damn box has saved me from. Through the thick and thin, my trusty NS430 has given me one of gods gifts I call the "Pink Line of Not Dying", for those special moments where I need to get the hell outta dodge and get home safely. I remember being socked in with fog above me, the mountains below me, and a Mistral Gazelle behind me with a thirst for some Hip(Mi-8, not the human hip). With the fog above me obscuring the tops of the clouds, I trusted in the Terrain Avoidance page and threw myself into the white abyss. Sure enough, I got just above the clouds while the Mistral shook his fist as I slipped away. I used my trusty pink line to travel back to base as quick as possible to get my soiled undergarments cleaned at the local Sochi dry cleaners. I especially want to say that it has been one of the best modules I have ever bought! Especially for those aircraft that don't have an INS/GPS solution, this is an invaluable resource. Even with the Gazelle's NADIR navigation system, I still find myself using the NS430 to get a visual cue and graphical indication of where I am and where I'm going. I still dream of the NS430 being able to control the radio freqs on some aircraft like FC3 where you have to adjust the freq through SRS. In conclusion, the NS430 is a god amongst us mere mortals. It is way better IMO than it gets credit, and it is one of my cockpit mainstays in most FC3 and helicopter aircraft in DCS. Thank you for listening to this, and if you were on the fence about the NS430 I hope this persuades you into the world of wonders the NS430 provides. I now self proclaim myself a member of the Pink Line of Not Dying Club :D Smooth Skies, Mordant

DCS 2.8.0.32235.1 Open Beta on Persian Gulf map. When you change the navigation display, you have a big loss of FPS and screen stutter. Please verify. Thanks!

I would like to use ns430 in every aircrafts without gps navigation in present days in missions or campaigns. The last units of mig 21 has got digital navigation and it could be interesting to use it. Maybe from late 90s or 2000s?. we could have that, they make money and everyone is happy.

Introducing my Voice Attack Profile for the NS430 GPS Module Choose between standard Voice Attack keypress mode, or DCS-BIOS Direct to DCS mode. It allows text entry by speech for quickly setting up Direct-To destinations and user waypoints. Use a single voice command to enter "Direct-to" Any airfield, on any map Use an automatic position entry command to get directions to any random position on the map. Press any button Rotate any knob Open any page on the unit Automatically switch between Imperial and Metric units. Save and recall data fields on the Deviation page and the Map page. The download package contains: The Voice attack profile Keyboard.diff.lua for the required keybinds for the NS430 Module when using standard mode. A couple of sound files for clicks, it also uses a couple of sounds built into voice attack, and text to speech. Why cancel the NS430 of F-16 ? this is obviously illogical ! F-16C bl.50 has no MAP and canceled NS430, can I only look at the coordinates ? I know that I can manually modify the NS430 file, but I cannot pass the online verification !

Hello! Having used the real counterpart to the NS430 quite a lot, I am requesting a feature to be added to the cursor when in map mode. Currently: When you activate the cursor when in the map screen and move the cursor to any arbitrary location and press the Direct-to -button, the NS430 presents you with either your current location (the airfield you are at if you are on the ground) or alternatively the point that the cursor is over (though this bugs out at times). Request: As per the real device, if you set the cursor at a point on the map where there are no waypoints (user generated or otherwise) the device should present you with a new user waypoint marked "+MAP" with the current cursor coordinates. This allows the user to set their destination quickly to any point on the map without needing to first navigate to the user waypoint menu and then build a new waypoint by setting coordinates. The following picture is taken from the official GNS430 manual (https://static.garmin.com/pumac/GNS430_PilotsGuide.pdf) Regards, MikeMikeJuliet
