I know there was a discussion about the Leopard 2's Rheinmetall Cannon used on the M1A1, the US got the license to manufacture them, yet it replaced their own inferior cannon from the original M1...

..which was a british gun anyway

The M68A1 was but they replaced it with the M256 which is a variant of the L/44

The only way to make sense out of change is to plunge into it, move with it, and join the dance.

Why not doing like the FSX beta?

Released early and fix issues with the community? :)

WOW! That was amazing, really impressive footage.

The French really understand aesthetics. I've seen lots of fighter footage, but that really spoke to me.

Thank you for finding it,

Same thing happened to me. With this video I saw the Mirage like the most beautiful plane ever built

My rig specs:

Intel Core i7 4770 @3.4Ghz // Corsair 16GB DDR3 // MoBo Asus Z87K // HDD 1TB 7200RPM // eVGA Nvidia GTX 760GT 2GB DDR5 // LG 3D 47" 1920x1080 // Thrustmaster Warthog HOTAS // Saitek Combat Pro Pedals // Thrustmaster MFD Cougar pack // PS3 Eye + FTNOIR

I find Rafale radome too pointy! I like Mirage 2000 puffed curves and angles

I think all of the Dassault fighters (Mystere, Super Mystere, Mirages, and Rafale) are good looking machines - more so than most manufacturers.

That said, the Mirage 2000 is particularly good to look at, one of the best among modern fighters. The Mirage F1 is also a handsome/interesting design.

That's an actual sociocultural reality.... "A beautiful aircraft, is a aircraft which well flight" Marcel Dassault. This is also why french guys go in war "with flower in rifle".

Frenchs are little bit too naive and poets to do war (but fairly competents to build efficient (and beautifull) war machines), this is why they tend to "wake up" in late. "Ho shit , why this Nazi annoys me while i appreciate my wine and this beautifull day ? Hu, what ? They invade us ? why ? are they mad ? They do not like wine (strange people) ? ho shit... let me finish my cigaret" :)

:megalol: Good one! (and perfectly accurate ;) ) (I'm french)

Efficiency is an art form.

The other thing that I also like about the video is that most of the footage takes place over desert. Easy to imagine your self thundering through canyons in the new NTTR map in this beautiful machine. Just need to wait another 6-9 months....hopefully not more!

Yes very beautiful aircraft, but then they go and ruin them with non-retractable AAR probes.....

The minor blemish merely enhances the beauty... look past it to admire the form and function of the aircraft.

I was just about to say the same thing. Small imperfections and strange/unique features add to it.
