Nice, and stop picking on us whirlybird pilots!

whirlybirds make excellent test subject for radar targets. They are airborne and cannot maneuver as fast as an aircraft. :D

I haven't followed the entire topic, but how capable will the mirage be in air-to-ground?

It looks so promising!

For the real Mirage 2000 C RDI :

- Mk-82

- high drag 250kg bomb

- GBU-12 for buddy lasing (external designation)

- gun/ rocket

Right now French Mirage 2000 C are deployed in Africa, in AG tasking, to patrol with Mirage 2000 D.

It's the Mirage 2000-5F, with RDY multi target radar, Mica EM (Fox 3) and Magic 2 (Fox 2) training round.

Now the Mirage 2000-5 uses Mica IR instead of Magic. Mica IR can also be shot in BVR...

It can shoot 4 targets at the same time.

It's a totally new weapon system, not just a Mirage 2000 C with Mica.

Here it is. This is symbolic runway, length and width are always the same, regardless of real runway dimensions.

All Mirage 2000 variants can do that.

Well, it wad just to show how it looks like. Not a promise you will have it. I'm not the one to ask :music_whistling:

Moreover it's not magic, it requires proper INS and altimeter settings, and ILS capture. So you need good preparation before flight.

Mirage 2000 autopilot is very cool. It can follow ILS down to 200ft. Or you can fly threw the AP by adjusting heading and vertical path with stick trim command.

Ugh! Thanks JoJo. I'm the one who has to code that thing.

One day in DCS... Vipers will fly along side Tomcats... Bugs with Superbugs, Tiffy's with Tornado's, Fulcrums with Flankers and Mirage with Rafales...

:)The Future of DCS is a bright one:)

Last pic of the week. The TWS mode is starting to come together. One contact is locked while the others are still being tracked.

The yellow line is the "intercept line" not the antenna sweep. The yellow box indicates that the contact is locked. Icons change from V to -v-. Many elements are still missing but will be incorporated later.
