Just my thoughts. As the Beta Release (pre-order) is likely to see some changes to the EFM, may be need tweaks and fixes to systems, a campaign may need tweaking and adjusting after those changes. I guess IF we see a campaign in the Beta release at all, it might be "beta" as well and need adjustment until the module is final. I remember the performance tweak of the Huey, broke some missions (e.g. Mt. Elbrus rescue)... So last minute adjustments COULD affect the campaign missions. Again, just speculation from some facts on my side. May be Zeus or anyone from Razbam can answer that? Yeah makes quite a bit of sense. Alone the confirmation that their EFM already doesn't use any scripting is a pretty good boost of my confidence in their product so let's hope we at least get a few good training missions and a manual at release, and the campaign can come later. One other question, how long will the preorder discount of 20% be in effect? Im heavily leaning towards preordering the aircraft but would probably only be able to after October 1st. Current specs: Windows 10 Home 64bit, i5-9600K @ 3.7 Ghz, 32GB DDR4 RAM, 1TB Samsung EVO 860 M.2 SSD, GAINWARD RTX2060 6GB, Oculus Rift S, MS FFB2 Sidewinder + Warthog Throttle Quadrant, Saitek Pro rudder pedals.

Since it isn't due for release until December, I'd expect you're fine to purchase in October. Does anyone have any good reading on the M2000? Systems descriptions, check lists, etc?

As far as I know all official documents (flight manual for instance) are still confidential. You may found a few interesting books but nothing really technical.

One of the main everyday mission of the French Airforce is intercepting civilian aircraft (usually airliners) that enter a restricted area, are in distress or (usually) fail to make radio contact (eg. in case of radio failure). The fighters make the intercept to try and see what is the problem and communicate with the crew via visual signals, and they may escort them to an airport in case it is needed. This is done both to counter hijacking, and help aircraft in distress, and is called "Police du ciel" ("Sky police"). I imagine a mode in which the pilot can establish a radar lock but not fire any missile would be a good thing for that. There is also a Police light, which is apparently used at night for "identification" (says the manual). Not sure, but I would guess maybe it illuminates the Mirage 2000 (cockpit?) to show itself to an intercepted aircraft. And the police light is intended to allow the Mirage pilot to distinguish details of the intercepted aircraft (e.g. registration) at night, by shedding light towards the front/left of the Mirage. Hi Robin Hood, FYI, we are more sofisticated in the French Airforce, we do not use hand signals anymore but smoke missiles, which are fired in front of the offending aircraft, delivering smoke puffs in a signal code form, a bit like the ancestral Indian format. We call them "Puff-Puff" missiles......in french:music_whistling:

Very nice un-obstructed view out of the cockpit, looking at the Vid, the pilot appears to sit high. Looking forward to this one. HP G2 Reverb (Needs upgrading), Windows 10 VR settings: IPD is 64.5mm, High image quality, G2 reset to 60Hz refresh rate. set to OpenXR, but Open XR tool kit disabled. DCS: Pixel Density 1.0, Forced IPD at 55 (perceived world size), DLSS setting is quality at 1.0. VR Driver system: I9-9900KS 5Ghz CPU. XI Hero motherboard and RTX 3090 graphics card, 64 gigs Ram, No OC... Everything needs upgrading in this system!. Vaicom user and what a superb freebie it is! Virpil Mongoose T50M3 base & Mongoose CM2 Grip (not set for dead stick), Virpil TCS collective with counterbalance kit (woof woof). Virpil Apache Grip (OMG). MFG pedals with damper upgrade. Total controls Apache MPDs set to virtual Reality height. Simshaker Jet Pro vibration seat.. Uses data from DCS not sound... goodbye VRS.

CptSmiley the FM coder has stated that the plane is already flying without any scripted behavior and that they are pretty far along in the development of the EFM.
