I was copying the entire zip files into my JSGME folders and was wondering about a work around for multiple mods changing the same zip files. Now I know. For the night version, you want to add just one extra file and otherwise the mod is the same? Correct. If I was doing it for myself, I would make a 'Hangar Night Patch' mod that contained just the single file for the light. The mods would require an installation note that the 'Night Patch' must be used with the basic 'Hangar' mod. It adds an extra thing for users to keep track of, but it makes more sense than having two complete and independent packages for day and night. EDIT: I have actually done something similar for installing SweetFX with different settings files. I have one mod that installs SweetFX, with no settings file, then I install a second mod (which there are multiple versions of) which is just the settings file. It make it easy to have lots of settings files with only one set of SweetFX base files. Also, you are very welcome. I love your work and am happy that I could help. Do you know if there is a lua file somewere that decides that the game should chose that night file when light is low instead of the daylight file? If so, i could declare that new file in this lua file.

(smaller camo hangars ?) easier to make/mod fulltime lights but dont worry it will be visible (lights on windows) only at night but if you need changing alpha-textures then the model needs to declare classname as well to use the builtin changing arg values for day/night textures

RICARDO Posted August 26, 2014 Author Posted August 26, 2014 Hello guys, Nice to see your enthousiasm on this project, i canceled in the past the kutz mod because some sarcastics comments make me understood that the community was not realy interested by this project. I use it for myself and my team mate only. About building mod, my priority is technical airport buildings. They are all on the mission editor and anyone can add them to customise airbase. Two reasons for airport structures. First one, proximity of taxiing aircrafts. Second one, weight. At the moment they are 4096x4096. I tried half weight but quality is blured. It would have too mutch impact on fps to work on a lot of buildings. I will work on 3 types of big warehouse and fuel tanks, perhaps on a couple of high city buildings. Anyway, i have built a huge texture bank on buildings so this mod can be extended on future. I have started a teamwork with Luckybob9 that works on sophisticated 3d buildings that i am mapping. He ´s more on a policy of having them on ED next updates of DCS. But as you see, that mod can be extended but at the moment we have to cope with engine limitations.
