More nice work guys. Up till now THIS was the only Short Brothers aircraft I was familiar with. Please save your efforts for something prettier.

Arghh my ears, flying in them you could hear every rivet buzz, I much prefered to fly in the Islander or Trilander

External. Cockpit is new anyway but needs to be finished off.

Yes two seater..possibly :)

I hope that redesigning the external 3d doesn't set you back too much.

Have you decided on what Tranche you'll be making?

Good luck. :)

Nah not too much, the programming side of things takes alot longer than the model.

We just thought it could do with a spruce up :)

Atm we are looking at Tranche 2

Well, depending what standard they model ("Tranche 2" covers several), we'll only get the gun, ASRAAM and AMRAAM.

For some reason that pic reminds me of the Russian G-11 Glider from IL-2 1946. (Except the engines)

Well they showcased the weapons planned for DCS Typhoon and it included some air-to-ground weapons.

I'd be a shame if they left out the air-to-ground stuff.

Well there's a bit if a question there. If people want a truly realistic simulation model, then you can't have all that many weapons, if you can carry things such as Brimstone/Storm Shadow then it wouldn't match any real aircraft.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be any room for some artistic licence though, but people should know what they are asking for.

I remember when someone developed a Tucano for FSX a while ago... had a blast flying around in that :)

Tucano looks quite good close up, apologies my camera was on it's last legs and taking pictures was kind of hit and pray they came out, working flight side at Biggin Hill Airshow 2002 (I think)

I'll leave the choice of aircraft up to the forumites ... ;)

It was reading an issue of Commando that got me hooked on the Westland Whirlwind, when I showed it to my dad he said that was the aircraft that flew out of the airbase he was stationed at during WW2, RAF Tangmere.

The developer is working on other aircraft at the moment.

The one you saw was for an RAF demonstration we did and low poly.

The Tuc will be developed fully later down the line, as with the Grob.

Cheers,

Watching the Tucano put through its paces at Waddington last weekend has made me even more eager to get my hands on this. Can I start up a tab with VAEO please?

The Tucano VEAO is modelling is not armed. It is the Short Tucano (can we perhaps change the thread name btw.? ). The armed one is the Embraer Tucano.

The UK ones no but the Kuwaiti and Kenyan ones?

Short have made a weapons capable one although it only serves with overseas air forces. The RAF variant is not capable of carrying weapons without significant modification.

I'd expect a basic weapons package for the Tucano.
