The new Su-27 flight dynamics are nearly complete and is undergoing tuning.

 

Since this was posted a year ago, one would think something went either very wrong OR someone is just withholding the release date for other (non-technical) reasons. (runs away from the angry mob of nice, patient people) :D

Wasn't sure thats were you going with that, but I had a feeling you might be. I am liking the WWII birds pretty much myself, but really want to get back to the roots of what lured me into ED/DCSW in the first place. The modern fighters and attack aircraft.

I really like the WWII aircraft, they're modelled quite well, but I concur. I'd always prefer DCS to stay in the post WWII time frame, all that stuff with avionics, because that's obviously one of ED's strengths. I also didn't really like 777 abandon WWI and start BoS, but to be honest, it will be a great sim - but I'd rather like to have some more stuff added to RoF, especially air ships and early war recons. It's pretty much unclear whether they'll continue adding stuff there, they haven't taken a decision on that yet.

 

As for the Flanker, I wouldn't mind to get a full DCS module eventually :)

As we did for the F-15C, we will be updating the Su-27 for DCS World to include a Professional level flight model. Development of this updated Flanker is well underway and will be free as part of Flaming Cliffs 3. We will also sell the Su-27 for DCS World as a separate download later in 2014."

 

Later in 2014, at least we now know the maximum waiting time left is 3 months.

Glad to hear it, my only "evidence" is this calender right next to me which tells me that it's been over a year since it was pronounced as close to being ready :D

Let me rephrase it for you so it sounds like the good news it is then :-)

 

The Su-27 PFM is not canceled and it is WIP.
